It was a few hours later when Ele stirred, sleepily sitting up and looking around as she pulled the blanket around her shoulders,

"Mmm...Babe?"

She muttered, looking at Tyler,

"What time is it?"

Thinking she heard the words, Ele drifted off to sleep, happily warm and safe in Tyler's arms.

Sighing as she started to fall into sleep, Ele let herself begin to drift off,

"I more than like you, Tyler."

She said, her voice barely a whisper as sleep,came over her,

"Then why have you decided to go with it?"

Closing her eyes, Ele smiled softly,

"I know for me, its because you're safe. You're my person."

"Why did it happen to us?"

Ele asked, settling back down into Tyler's arms. She was starting to get tired again, but wanted to stay with Tyler,

"That's fine, I'll start a letter of resignation and do some applications to some galleries. I'll also call my landlord and start the process of moving out."

Giggling and kicking her legs a little, Ele tilted her head up to kiss Tyler along his jawline,

"Is this what they call a whirlwind romance? We've only known each other a week but we're moving in together! It's crazy!"

His protectiveness made Ele melt and go all mushy as she cuddled up in his lap, her head on his chest,

"I'll be fine. If I need to I'll ask the apartment manager to escort me, and I can ask the security guard to stay outside my apartment during the day. You're so sweet for offering."

She said with an apologetic look, her hands massaging his head,

"I'll be okay, I'll have Kate with me and I'll drop off my letter before opening so it will be employees only in the building. Mom and Jo ... Her boyfr.... That guy, won't even know I was there."

It was a struggle for Ele to mention her abuser, and even as she sounded sure that her plan would work, her eyes went down to her lap where her free hand was in a white-knuckled fist.

"I'll be okay."

"That is the big question, though I still haven't touched it."

She admitted, nuzzling Tyler's neck.

"That will be remedied if I have anything to say about it!"

Ele called from the bedroom, emerging a minute later in a pair of black cotton pajama shorts, and a white tank top. She'd let her hair down and went back to Tyler, but sat on his lap this time.

"I'm thinking I should book a flight back to California in the next couple of days and go sort my stuff out. I have to break my lease, pay off all my bills, hand in my resignation letter... I might as well get it over with."

Running her fingers through Tyler's hair, Ele looked at him softly,

"What do you think?"
