Eventually Ele woke, but it was only a couple hours later. Still exhausted, and now on the verge of a panic attack, Ele snuggled closer to Tyler, trying to push back the terror,

Ele nodded, going quiet. She wasn't asleep, but just enjoying her last few hours with her boyfriend.

"I love you, Tyler."

She whispered, her voice wavering.

Calming down, Ele kissed Tyler on the neck, then worked her way up to his lips,

"It's only five days. I can do five days."

"But you keep the nightmares away."

Ele whispered, closing her eyes and trying to focus on the feeling of Tyler's hand on her back.

"And you need to text and call me too. A lady doesn't text first!"

She tried joking, but her worry took over and tears filled Ele's eyes. Bending forward, Ele buried her face in Tyler's neck to hide her tears,

"How will I fall asleep in the dark?"

Sighing, Ele got into bed as well, but crawled over so she was straddling Tyler,

"You'll miss me, right?"

Ele had packed most of what she needed, and left what she would wear the next day folded on the dresser, including the sweatshirt. When Tyler got out of the shower, Ele walked past him and gave him a sassy wink as she gave him a playful pat on the butt.

"Still driving me crazy..."

Closing the door behind her, Ele got in the shower then got out and readied for bed, putting on one of Tyler's shirts she had claimed as her sleep shirt.

Going back out to the bedroom, Ele put her toiletries into her bag then zipped it up, ready for the morning. Standing up straight, Ele looked at Tyler as she ran her fingers through her hair, looking upset.

"I don't want to go."

Swallowing, Ele shrugged then leaned forward to wipe a bit of sauce off of the corner of Tyler's mouth. Licking her finger, Ele said,

"You can paint it if you want, it may be a good way to keep you from getting bored... Or missing me too much."

Winking, Ele got up to throw away her trash then went to their bedroom to start packing.

Studying the burger, Ele tried to decide which was the best plan of attack to get a bite. The thing was almost as big as her head, but she went for it. Deciding to take it in two parts, Ele bit first from the middle to the top, then from the middle to the bottom. Pulling away, her mouth was stuffed full but she chewed and nodded, giving a thumbs up.

Ele laughed, crumbling up her trash and putting it in the bag,

"Okay, we will do your plan."
