tbh I don't see much incentive to play non-immunes, since the only ones who can actually avoid getting infected are military who are locked out. Perhaps restrict military to non-immunes?
What do you mean? It’s not like the Kuru virus was airborne or waterborne. Many non-immunes seemed to do just fine from what can be seen in the game. Sinamoi, Jen, the “Lighthouse Group”, the Raskols, etc.
If you’d like. You saying that reminds me, I’ll add a blood type option to the CS. But to clarify characters can be or can’t be immune, it’s your choice.
The island of Banoi, a place of mystery and wonder, a lush island paradise off the coast of Papua New Guinea. This island holds many secrets and wonders, and most of the island has remained secluded from the outside world for centuries. Despite this, Banoi has become a famous tourist attraction, its' hotel and beach resort attracting people from all across the world. None would expect this tropical paradise to harbor a darker and more evil side to contradict its welcoming and friendly front.
When a sinister plague breaks out that transforms much of the island population into mindless flesh eating creatures, this lush paradise retreat is transformed into a hell on earth amidst tides of blood. Cut off from the outside world and for all they know abandoned, those who have survived the initial outbreak must fight to survive. Surrounded by hordes of the infected and abandoned by the outside world, it is survival of the fittest for the people of Banoi. Though beware, the infected are not the only predators of this ravaged resort....
ABOUT THIS ROLEPLAY
Players will role as a tourist survivor of the Kuru Virus] outbreak that has effectively zombified much of the island population. Players will begin in the islands' hotel resort, awakening the morning after the infection much like the player characters in the game do. Finding the hotel without power and in places overrun by cannibalistic creatures (zombies), players must first escape from the hotel and elude the zombie hordes that have overrun the resort. From there, they will make their own path and fight to survive. Players can ban together or go it alone. In all honesty, feel free to remain in the hotel if you'd like, perhaps with the idea of hunkering down until help comes. The entire island, aside from the Prison, is open for players to free roam and explore.
NPC/AI characters will appear and aid player characters, and will even offer tasks or quests to players. Safe houses can be constructed and defenses erected. AI/NPC's will also have safe houses of their own, but be warned, not all those who have survived will be welcoming to strangers.
Where our story begins. The hotel is a posh and luxurious establishment, with everything from steam rooms to massage parlors to mega bars. The Royal Palms Hotel is where our players will awake to find that all hell has broken loose. The luxury hotel is massive in size and can house well over two thousand guests. It’s security systems and personnel are top of the line and the hotel sits to the west of the beach resort and east of the city of Moresby.
The beaches connected to the hotel are to the east of Royal Palms. The beach is several miles long and is lined with bungalows, mini bars, and rental shacks for surfboards and other items of entertainment. There are also stages and areas for beach parties to be found. Between the beach and the hotel is a a collection of bungalows and cabins surrounded by bars and outdoor pools.
Moresby is a third world city and is the capital of Banoi. The impoverished city ironically resides just several miles west of the wealthy Royal Palms Resort hotel. The city is densely populated and is expectedly hit hard by the Kuru outbreak. Most of the city is overrun aside from isolated safe zones and safe houses, such as the church, city hall, and the police station. Moresby is an extremely dangerous area post-outbreak, and going anywhere alone is completely unadvised.
Dark, desolate, and unseen by western eyes, the Mingende Jungle was already a dangerous place prior to the Kuru infection. Aside from dangerous wildlife and perilous natural conditions, the jungle is home to savage native tribes and groups of smugglers and marauders. The undead are merely an item to the jungles’ danger.
Those afflicted by the Kuru outbreak, these undead abominations terrorize the few survivors of the infection and feast upon their very flesh. They are far from human any longer, they feel no empathy, no mercy, and no pain. Though predictable to a sense, the undead are highly dangerous especially in groups or hordes. There are numerous variations of these zombies, and while some are more dangerous than others, all are to be feared and care is to be taken around them.
Walkers are infected who have been “dead” for sometime, their bodies stiffened and stifled by rigamortus. They lumber about at a slower pace, though some can move faster than others. While most walkers stand about idly when undistrurbed, some will often “play dead” by slumping over or sprawling out unmoving on the ground. Those who are unwary can easily be grappled and torn apart by a walker. Though uncommon, many walkers can be found gripping weapons such as pipes, cleavers, or baseball bats. This is apparently due to having perished with the weapon in hand and rigamortis causing the object to become stuck in their hand(s). Though conventional wounds and injuries can finish them, walkers are best dealt with by decapitation or destroying their brain. Walkers are the most common zombies to be found.
Unlike walkers, the infected are highly mobile. They are extremely aggressive and attack with wreckless abandon, screaming and snarling wildly as they charge and attack their prey. They are near impervious to pain, though are easier to put down than walkers. In groups of more than two, infected are highly dangerous, and in fact are better to be avoided if in significant number due to their sporadic and aggressive attacks.

CREATING YOUR CHARACTER
While there are guidelines to creating your character, I also tried to make CC somewhat laid back as to allow freedom. Characters can effectively be from any nation/state in the known world. Characters CANNOT be local residents of Banoi itself. The closest thing to a local that one can be is an Australian or New Zealand citizen, as Banoi is within coastal range of Papua New Guinea and is part of the Australian continent.
Characters can be along any line of skill or profession EXCEPT active military, special forces, or any sort of government agent. Ex-military or active or retired police force is however acceptable. I mean it, no Navy SEALS on furlough or active KGB operatives with a secret weapon stash in their private jet they flew in. VIP security detail are allowed, but please, no silenced HK’s with a grenade bandolier under your blazer jacket. Just please...
1. Obey all rules! :p
2. No meta-gaming.
3. No godmodding.
4. No flaming, bullying, or flame-baiting.
5. No abusing, killing, injuring, or seizing control over other player characters without their consent!
6. NO ONESIES! A minimum of one-two paragraphs per post. Preferably two.
7. Further zombie types will be unlocked as the story advances. I don’t want to see any (SPOILER!) rams or butchers(SPOILER!) referenced-seen in the first twenty posts.
8. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID cannon characters! Any canon material that is introduced will be done so by me. And that will be rare.

Hello! I'm a returning member to this site. I was rather active back in 2014-2015, but fell from the guild do to life issues. But now I'm back and ready to Roleplay! (New account because that's what you have to do when you forget your old password and don't have the same email anymore.)
