Seeing actual bushfire footage looks straight out of Hell... It moves so quickly and so powerfully, literally the trees just ignite. You firefighters are absolute legends, but please, don't die.

Welcome to my little personal den of Hell! Sorry, sorry, I meant my personal profile. Same thing, right?
I'm a roleplayer, same as any around here. I've been doing it for about five years now, coming up to six in September. Its been quite the time, thinking back. I started out fresh as can be, understanding the basics of writing but never quite knowing how to become better, or become as great as those around me. In the end, I did the only thing I really knew at the time:
Write as much garbage as possible and hope for the best!
As you can see, that particular tactic fucking failed. Jokes aside, I like to think I've developed a lot over the years, both as a writer and as a person. However, absolutely nothing can dissuade my weeaboo ways and supporting my OTP with all that I can freaking muster! If you haven't already guessed, said OTP is Chrom x Robin (Chrobin) from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Highly recommend the game, there's a reason (other than nintendo's cheapskate attitude) that it hasn't dropped in price, it's honestly the best place to start off in the series. And hey, maybe you'll end up addicted like me and want to buy every game on the 3DS like a fucking loony?
Speaking of loonies, the Fire Emblem Chrobin Comic Dub Project has recently finished, so for those of you who also appreciate the best ship in existence, I highly recommend it. Hell, even if you're not interested in that, I do highly recommend watching it for those into fantasy love stories. The quality improves drastically with each episode, so trust me when I say by the end of it you should be thoroughly impressed. It has helped motivate me in ways I can hardly describe with words, and so I thought the least I could do was put this out there. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I know it was the perfect thing for me.
"Do you think you can tip any of the scales in here?" "Chrom, for the love of Naga, I'm thinking..."
"So I heard."
"There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know."
There is a universe. No-one knows it's name, where gravity wasn't strong enough to bind matter together and no stars formed. And because no stars formed, no stars exploded. And because no stars exploded, no planets came about. And because no planets came about, there was no life.
There's another universe, no one knows it's name, where gravity was strong enough and did light the stars and planets came about and boy, they were gorgeous, planets in perpetual winter, planets in perpetual summer, planets that could rival the Garden of Eden and no bloody snakes! And on one of them, eventually, complex life evolved and one of the species developed large brains learned things like manners and dabbing, when they looked up at the stars and wonder what they were doing here. You called them octopuses, I suppose. Gosh, they were clever, for octopuses, and one of them, several million years in, almost wrote something in ink on the seafloor, a message to its friend. And the message almost read: "Hi! How are you?" And a few millennia later, space folder back on itself and, you get the idea. Goodbye Octopi.
There's another universe, where life formed on every planet, in every solar system, and it was carbon-based, it was silicon based, it was made of crystals and water and plasma, it was made of quantum fields and light, and everything was alive, everything was doing a boogie, and it was everybody's birthday, everyday, relatively, and everyone got presents, and they had over a trillion languages, some written down, some only spoken, some conducted telepathically, and they bought a galactic civilization together, as a perfect unity, sharing stories, sharing technology, speaking a common tongue, understanding everything about how the cosmos been put together. And finally, when everything was sorted, the galaxies were arranged into perfect geometric formations, transmitting pure love, and wisdom, and birthday greetings to all species in the universe, for all time. Papercuts never happened, coke came in glass bottles, no one even remembered the word for war, everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.
And yet, for a quirk in their evolution, because resources weren't scarce enough on the planets these species developed on, not a single creature in the universe was conscious. Food was eaten and no-one enjoyed it. Movies were released, and there was no laughing, or crying. No-one chuckled at a joke. Ever. Space collapsed back on itself, eventually, and there hadn't been a single moment of sentience in the entire history of creation.
There's another universe, where the strong force is too strong the weak force is too weak and nothing forms. Another, where life develops too late when the Stars have all gone beyond the light boundary and there's nothing to even see. Another with too many dimensions. Another with not enough. Another where time goes in the opposite direction, and species begin as gods, and wind backwards to cells, and never learn to survive. Another that only lasts milliseconds, and collapses in on itself, and heads straight back to oblivion. And that's how it just might be, across all possible universes, across all possible space times. Problems with the laws of nature, not enough resources, missteps in evolution. An atlas of dead-ends.
Then again, there is one exception.
There's another universe, a big one, where life is rare, where intelligent life is very rare indeed, the stars are very distant from each other, the laws of nature are very complex, it's extremely lonely for any species developing, and most never even develop at all, but somewhere, we believe, is a planet where the oceans are vast, and the climate is varied. Where the smartest species on the planet may have developed just the right mix of ambition and kindness. And if you were to travel there, to this unbelievably rare statistical anomaly, to this impossibly lucky planet, where evolution, biology, chemistry, nae, the laws of physics themselves have come together to create sentient intelligent life, you may be able to catch the native inhabitants singing for joy. Of what an impossibly lucky, and rare position they find themselves in. It is a chant of gratitude, a ritual of showing appreciation for ending up in perhaps the one universe, in the one solar system, on the one planet with all the basic ingredients for intelligent, conscious life.
Perhaps an agreement could be made? Like your wizard doesn't arrest the necromancer in return for him helping find ways to better deal with necromancers? ^-^ So long as your character can be reasoned with I imagine there could be something that could be done c:
@Vahir Our party so far has nobody above +0 INT, so a wizard sounds best ^-^ I'm a cleric (which I should have up later today) so I can handle heals c:
Also if you need help with dicecloud, look at what the others have done, it helped me :D I found that working backwards from journal to features is best, but you can do it any way you want :P
@Caitimus Not dead but I had an internet outage! :D Might have the app done tomorrow, still working out Dicecloud, though it's not as hard as I first thought c:
I also thought it was due to the rest of the players waiting on my slow ass us :o We just kinda put ourselves in an awkward position with not many people able to post till we finish. I mean I was under the impression they could but apparently most would rather wait c:

A considerable strike knocks the Dark Knight back several feet. Boots slide against the floor, stopping their wearer from going over the red line that circled the arena. If she went beyond there, it would constitute as a loss. And Maryvale hated losing. She got to her feet. The layers of thick clothing and light armor helped her simulate her real armor, as did the dense wooden sword. It wasn't nearly as durable as her own blade -- one could tell from all the dents in it -- but a little durability enchantment could turn any stick into a durable weapon.
The crowd of soldiers each cheered for who they thought would win. On one end of the arena, a promising old challenger coming to reclaim their title of 'best soldier'. On the other, a young woman who has only ever traded place with the one she now faced. The two often fought over who would take the title, though so far, no duel had ended in a draw. He charged, not relenting in his attack, intending on throwing the Dark Knight over the edge. However, she had more than enough time to keep her feet firmly planted, and countered with a sword-swing of her own. The two blades locked, wood grinding against wood, as tense muscles pushed to overwhelm the other. One step. Two steps. Maryvale had begun pushing her rival back towards the center of the arena. Soldiers cheered and encouraged their fellow fighters, giving both words of encouragement. However, they were soon drowned out by the sounds of wood colliding with incredible force, going blow-for-blow either against the swords themselves or against the other. It seemed like they would enter a lock again, however her opponent got in another strong blow.
Then another. And another. She was losing strength, feeling the bruises beginning to form with each strike. To the calve, to the stomach, to the shoulder, and many more places. Though they only occurred now-and-then, it whittled Maryvale's strength to the point where she felt she could lose. Her legs were beginning to feel weak and her arms heavy; one leg faltered, and her opponent struck once more to send her down on one leg. She used the chance to twist, avoiding the next strike, and gaining momentum as the blade swung all the way around, hitting her rival's mid-section full-force. The blow had clearly winded him, and even knocked him back somewhat. Though uncertain of herself, she took the opportunity to apply pressure and ran straight for him, locking blades and sending him back to the red line. Her leg wouldn't hold for long. Her footing was starting to falter as his stance became firmer, regaining the strength he'd lost from being winded. She could sense it wobbling beneath her, yet didn't dare look. In a desperate attempt to recuperate, she let one side weaken and used all her strength to push with the opposite.
He stumbled sideways, and she went for it. Redirecting his sword to the floor with her own, Maryvale jumped and slammed into her opponent, knocking him back over the red line and sending them both to the floor. They both used all that they had to win, but today, Maryvale would be crowned the strongest. Normally this would be accompanied by a trip to a healer and perhaps a party for those involved, though today was different. Little did anyone know, a messenger was banging furiously at the arena doors, with an urgent message for Lady Maryvale...
Izayoi wasn't about to let Jacques get near him. A bright light in his hands reveals itself to be a Bandit Sling, and, in a bold move of courage (and perhaps stupidity), Izayoi stopped dead in his tracks, feet firmly planted. His arms spin around and, instantly seeing his target, draws and releases the sling, hoping the projectile in question, if not overly dangerous, would at least cause him to dodge and slow his advance.
Immediately as soon as the sling discards from use, two more weapons appear in his hands: a pair of Thorn Whips. With these, Izayoi strikes fast, intending on not letting Jacques avoid them. Though low in damage, he hopes that the pair will either slow his advance enough for him to dodge a strike from Jacques, or deal considerable damage with both weapons. He would do the best he could to avoid taking the full force of an Arcane Longsword, however wouldn't compromise his mobility to do so.
While trying to avoid the swords, he orders his wolves: 'Patrol Hounds, hunt the one on the floor! Man-Wolves, kill the sentry and come to my aid!' He could feel his energy beginning to give out. The pain from the fighting was undoubtedly taking its toll on not only Izayoi's body, but Mayuri's too. However, she had resigned herself to an alternate persona to deal with the pain, as well as continue fighting.
1. Izayoi stops in his tracks and spins around, Bandit Sling firing directly at Jacques. 2. As soon as the Bandit Sling dispels, a pair of Thorn Whips form in his hands, attempting to deal as much damage as possible. 3. Izayoi orders the Patrol Hounds to kill the grounded Frontline Centurion, and the Man-Wolves to come to him, killing the Sturdy Sentry in their way. 4. Izayoi attempts to dodge the strikes made by Jacques, however won't risk getting grounded to do so.
So we'll just wing it and write as much as we want to write c: Sounds good! Though I do like some imaginative flair to my posts so I might still add some fluff :D
@Strange Rodent Tbh the fights don't need all that much attention to detail, since it's largely the main thread which should have the long posts c: Honestly I don't mind going long or short, and I'll probably switch between the two at times XD
@Strange Rodent Oh don't worry, you're not alone there XD I might do a posting spree tomorrow, seeing as I don't have anything planned, though Saturday I'll be gone.

Another where time goes in the opposite direction, and species begin as gods, and wind backwards to cells, and never learn
to survive.

~Exurb1a
