Seeing actual bushfire footage looks straight out of Hell... It moves so quickly and so powerfully, literally the trees just ignite. You firefighters are absolute legends, but please, don't die.

Welcome to my little personal den of Hell! Sorry, sorry, I meant my personal profile. Same thing, right?
I'm a roleplayer, same as any around here. I've been doing it for about five years now, coming up to six in September. Its been quite the time, thinking back. I started out fresh as can be, understanding the basics of writing but never quite knowing how to become better, or become as great as those around me. In the end, I did the only thing I really knew at the time:
Write as much garbage as possible and hope for the best!
As you can see, that particular tactic fucking failed. Jokes aside, I like to think I've developed a lot over the years, both as a writer and as a person. However, absolutely nothing can dissuade my weeaboo ways and supporting my OTP with all that I can freaking muster! If you haven't already guessed, said OTP is Chrom x Robin (Chrobin) from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Highly recommend the game, there's a reason (other than nintendo's cheapskate attitude) that it hasn't dropped in price, it's honestly the best place to start off in the series. And hey, maybe you'll end up addicted like me and want to buy every game on the 3DS like a fucking loony?
Speaking of loonies, the Fire Emblem Chrobin Comic Dub Project has recently finished, so for those of you who also appreciate the best ship in existence, I highly recommend it. Hell, even if you're not interested in that, I do highly recommend watching it for those into fantasy love stories. The quality improves drastically with each episode, so trust me when I say by the end of it you should be thoroughly impressed. It has helped motivate me in ways I can hardly describe with words, and so I thought the least I could do was put this out there. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I know it was the perfect thing for me.
"Do you think you can tip any of the scales in here?" "Chrom, for the love of Naga, I'm thinking..."
"So I heard."
"There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know."
There is a universe. No-one knows it's name, where gravity wasn't strong enough to bind matter together and no stars formed. And because no stars formed, no stars exploded. And because no stars exploded, no planets came about. And because no planets came about, there was no life.
There's another universe, no one knows it's name, where gravity was strong enough and did light the stars and planets came about and boy, they were gorgeous, planets in perpetual winter, planets in perpetual summer, planets that could rival the Garden of Eden and no bloody snakes! And on one of them, eventually, complex life evolved and one of the species developed large brains learned things like manners and dabbing, when they looked up at the stars and wonder what they were doing here. You called them octopuses, I suppose. Gosh, they were clever, for octopuses, and one of them, several million years in, almost wrote something in ink on the seafloor, a message to its friend. And the message almost read: "Hi! How are you?" And a few millennia later, space folder back on itself and, you get the idea. Goodbye Octopi.
There's another universe, where life formed on every planet, in every solar system, and it was carbon-based, it was silicon based, it was made of crystals and water and plasma, it was made of quantum fields and light, and everything was alive, everything was doing a boogie, and it was everybody's birthday, everyday, relatively, and everyone got presents, and they had over a trillion languages, some written down, some only spoken, some conducted telepathically, and they bought a galactic civilization together, as a perfect unity, sharing stories, sharing technology, speaking a common tongue, understanding everything about how the cosmos been put together. And finally, when everything was sorted, the galaxies were arranged into perfect geometric formations, transmitting pure love, and wisdom, and birthday greetings to all species in the universe, for all time. Papercuts never happened, coke came in glass bottles, no one even remembered the word for war, everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.
And yet, for a quirk in their evolution, because resources weren't scarce enough on the planets these species developed on, not a single creature in the universe was conscious. Food was eaten and no-one enjoyed it. Movies were released, and there was no laughing, or crying. No-one chuckled at a joke. Ever. Space collapsed back on itself, eventually, and there hadn't been a single moment of sentience in the entire history of creation.
There's another universe, where the strong force is too strong the weak force is too weak and nothing forms. Another, where life develops too late when the Stars have all gone beyond the light boundary and there's nothing to even see. Another with too many dimensions. Another with not enough. Another where time goes in the opposite direction, and species begin as gods, and wind backwards to cells, and never learn to survive. Another that only lasts milliseconds, and collapses in on itself, and heads straight back to oblivion. And that's how it just might be, across all possible universes, across all possible space times. Problems with the laws of nature, not enough resources, missteps in evolution. An atlas of dead-ends.
Then again, there is one exception.
There's another universe, a big one, where life is rare, where intelligent life is very rare indeed, the stars are very distant from each other, the laws of nature are very complex, it's extremely lonely for any species developing, and most never even develop at all, but somewhere, we believe, is a planet where the oceans are vast, and the climate is varied. Where the smartest species on the planet may have developed just the right mix of ambition and kindness. And if you were to travel there, to this unbelievably rare statistical anomaly, to this impossibly lucky planet, where evolution, biology, chemistry, nae, the laws of physics themselves have come together to create sentient intelligent life, you may be able to catch the native inhabitants singing for joy. Of what an impossibly lucky, and rare position they find themselves in. It is a chant of gratitude, a ritual of showing appreciation for ending up in perhaps the one universe, in the one solar system, on the one planet with all the basic ingredients for intelligent, conscious life.

Awakening
'I'm going to kill him...!' 'No, please don't! He hasn't done anything! Please! Just go-' 'Shut up! Didn't I tell you we'd kill everything in this world? Gah, just let me out of these fu-' 'Stop it... Please...' 'I said to shut, it. You don't have the right to talk.' '...' 'That's right, you know you deserve this. You want this. Admit it, it makes you happy talking to me, doesn't it? It's nice, finally getting a chance to rest and all. To not be completely mindless.' '...' '... Fine. Suit yourself. It's your fault they're all dead anyway.' '...' '... Wait. What's that?' '...' 'H-hey, wait a minute, don't put that thing near-' 'No... Not the light... Not the light again...!'
Darkness. Familiar. She knew she had a headache. In fact her whole body was groaning from whatever had just happened. Her throat worn from screaming, her body throbbing from thrashing, and her eyes blinded by the light. How many times would she wake from death's door in her life? It felt like her attachment to death was so close now, you could say the teen was cursed. Of course she wasn't, no, curses weren't real. But... the supernatural definitely was. There was no reason to doubt that at this point.
The floor was unfamiliar to her, as well as her posture. Surely she'd been sleeping at some point before...? What happened? What were those... garbled noises that sounded fifteen feet underwater? She wasn't sure. She didn't really care, honestly. She was tired, and if her senses weren't going to work for her, then so be it. The world wouldn't mind if she slept a little longer, right...? If she just let herself, relax?
"I really don't wanna fight you again.”
Cruelly, fate decided it wanted to shoot Minako with a shotgun today, reminding her that she was, in fact, alive, and that she hadn't been breathing. Without warning the Master of Master's would find his captive coughing and sputtering as though she'd almost drowned, practically dry-heaving by the mushroom she was previously bound by. Whatever he had done, it did the job. It just wasn't quite as peaceful as Kirby's method. Thankfully the girl was quick to recover her breath, not suffering any additional injuries. As she did so she tried to get up, but alas her legs weren't willing to obey her for a variety of reasons. But she could sit back up again, at the very least, tilting her head back and gasping out into the open air.
Beads of sweat weren't uncommon among her auburn hair and pearl skin. Though eyes of crimson still remained, they bore no animosity nor malice, in fact appearing rather dull compared to how they were before. She shook as though she had a fever, barely able to even lift her arms in this new position, as they hung loosely by her side. And then she blinked, and finally came to. Though the Master of Master's had likely been trying to interact with her while she recovered, she had only just registered his presence after she blinked. It would be clear for him to tell that she was coming to, which was only made all the more evident by her looking around, breathing slowly. Everything still felt a bit too bright and sunny, and her body still ached, but she was still alive. The question Minako now had for herself was: Where? Where am I alive?
But the Master of Master's gave it away. Finally, he had come to take her away. This was the end, right? When the hero finally gets to die a peaceful death? It had to be, right? It had to be Hell.
"Am... I dead...?" Quizzed Minako with a tired smile. She didn't register any questions he might have asked before. But judging from her tone, it was asking too much of her to remember them, anyway. She was weak. But at least this Hell looked nicer than Tartarus...
I have no clue on quotes because the games are in japanese... xD

"Alright! Lets show Shine City some spirit! We need some vodka in here!"
Age: 23 Height: 5'8 Weight: 61kg Likes: Being the center-stage, making music, trying new stuff, coffee, dancing, kicking ass at video games, CATS! Dislikes: Loneliness, country music, rules and regulations, decaff, losing. Party Tricks: Can you really call her absolute intolerance for alcohol a trick? Profession: Full-time DJ for Club LUSH and part-timer for the Lancom Arcade. Bio/Personality: Rireko Ikiriyo: A lively spirit by her very name, Rireko has always held her voice strong. As a child she would always shout, much to her parents dismay, and always headed the pack. All throughout elementary school she was known to be the loud kid, the one to crack funny jokes and make other smile.
Then, the accident happened.
Rireko lost her voice, though not completely. It became difficult to talk. Whenever she told a joke now, the other kids wouldn't laugh at the joke - they'd laugh at her voice, left squeaky and course, like a teenage boys'. Yet this didn't deter Rireko; she wasn't about to lose her voice so quickly, so suddenly, and so she took speech training courses throughout high school. Come graduation, she'd been reinstated as the class clown, smiles on the faces of her peers, as well as her. When she graduated she was taught by a private tutor on how to be a DJ, and has been practicing and working ever since.
She works at Club LUSH as DJ Bubblegum, and DJ Bubbles at Lancom Arcade. She's an easygoing and upbeat spirit, and though she doesn't talk much, she does well to convey her emotions through her expression and sounds she can make. Sporty, funky, and wears her heart on her wrist, Rireko is the kind of girl who some find weird and annoying, and others the best friend or companion in crime! And whenever she opens her mouth, you can almost always expect a joke to come flying! Theme Song:
Oh I just remembered. If any of you peps want me to make like a smash bros style profile pic thing to stick in your CS I'd be more than Happy to.
Just send me a picture you like of the character (preferably with a transparent background but I don't mind too much just makes it take longer.)
Then just the name and a cool secondary header thing.
Okay what the hell that's bloody huge XD. But yeah if you're interested just PM me or something, I've been making a bunch for fun because of smash bros hype.
Well shit, there goes my credibility making smash newcomer pics. Guess I'll just sell myself on the street now! Seriously though, that's damn good! :D I really envy the unique style it has! Mine was more of an emulation of the Sm4sh newcomers' cards, with a bit of edgy personal flair, since it's Persona 3. But yours looks legit!
@ERode Sad to see you go, but sometimes these things happen, and I don't regret the time spent either way c: Thanks for getting us this far, the fight against the Lizard was pretty sweet, even without getting into the interesting stuff. If we somehow make it beyond the first arc, feel free to come back and have a read ^-^
❰ MINAKO ARISATO ⟡ TEEN - FEMALE ⟡ PERSONA 3 PORTABLE ❱
Personality: Minako used to be a very free-spirited soul. She was someone who could find happiness in many things, and was always there for those who needed a smile or reassurance. But after seeing so much happen to her friends, after defeat at the hands of life, and after being unable to overcome her own insecurities, well, she's a different person now.
While not overly stoic, Minako is much more quiet and less social than she used to be. She is unfazed by injury and death, and finds things most would find bizarre to be the norm. In a way she's depressed, though it isn't as serious a case as others might feel it. With her old life ripped away from her, for the first time ever she feels like life simply isn't worth living anymore. It doesn't help that she keeps an (admittedly harmless) gun on her person, to summon her personas.
Though not exactly an amnesiac, she finds a lot of things about where she came from hard to remember. She has completely forgotten about her other personas, the only surviving one being Thanatos, as well as some of the finer details of her friends. Such a dramatic change has naturally turned her into someone else, though with enough of a push, one might still find the old Arisato within.
Background: Minako Arisato's story was ending when she was engulfed by light. She was on a bench on the roof, with Junpei of all people looking over her. The first one to remember. She felt so tired, she just wanted to fall asleep in his lap, even as the rest of the S.E.E.S members came sprinting up the stairs towards the two. She was going to confess. She was going to tell him how she really felt. While she still could. And they were going to be happy. Everyone. It was all over. No more constant nights out late in Tartarus, working to the bone to advance a few floors up the endless tower. No more days stressing about tests or homework or student woes. No more having to listen to someone else's problems, to help them through tough times, even if at times she just wanted to break down and cry while speaking with them. No more pain.
The light came down from the sky, and began taking everything away. Iwatodai, then the school, the students... When it made it to those on the roof, Minako could hardly move. She could hear a scream, Fuuka's scream, followed by silence. Akihiko next. Mitsuru, Yukari, Aigis, then Junpei. Even though it happened so fast, it was like everything was in slow motion for her, like it had been the past month. It made it all the more painful, knowing everything she had worked for to protect, everything she fought for the entire year, was gone. Nothing could stop the light. Not even The World.
Thanatos: The Greek God of Death incarnate, Thanatos is the symbol of the 13th tarot card appropriately titled "Death". He is a powerful physical and magic bruiser in his home series, able to deal great slash and dark attacks, with a major weakness to light. He can inherit access to elemental attacks of different types and use all to an average degree. However, he is much weaker as he appears in the RP, severely weakened by both the Light itself as well as Minako's shallow resolve. He has access to the moves Cleave and Bufu; the former being a slashing attack that lightly damages the user, but has weak power, and the latter is a weak ice attack which saps the user's stamina. He has an advanced form, 'Thanatos Picaro', but it is unknown how to acquire it.
Eurydice: The Mistress of Song. A Persona of the Fool Arcana, she is Minako's first Persona in the game. The Greek legends state she was a nymph and a dancer, however she, like her husband Orpheus, took up the harp, yet was criticised of her replication of him. Thus, in-game she borrows her husband's name. Her elemental/magic stat is her highest point, followed by endurance, making her an excellent tank. She has low physical strength, agility and luck, as well as two weaknesses (lightning and darkness), but has access to dia (healing) and agi (fire), and the potential to learn a powerful healing move later on. She has an advanced form called 'Eurydice Picaro', though the means of obtaining it are unknown...
Strengths:
Naginata Skill: Minako is incredibly proficient in using the naginata, having had to learn how to fight with it on her own so she could be of use during Tartarus expeditions. Needless to say, she is quite capable with similar polearms as well, save for thrusting polearms like lances and pikes.
Leader: Being the team leader of the Special Extracurricular Execution Squad gives you some insight in how to handle and manage a team in real time. She can think ahead, guide, and most importantly rally, which makes her great at keeping a battle under control. And if it ever loses control, she has the level head required to make smart, split-second decisions that minimise injuries.
Intelligence: It cannot be overstated how academically and socially inclined Minako is. She's smart in many areas, from battle tactics and mathematics to handling emotions and understanding the problems of others. Her diligence in her studies, as well as real-world experiences and battles in Tartarus, created someone who is much more intelligent than they should be for their age.
Weaknesses:
Physical Frailty: In the month leading up to her seniors' graduation, Minako's physical state worsened considerably. She now has to deal with weaker muscle strength as well as lethargy, both of which will seriously hamper her physical ability. Using her persona drains her physical strength as well, so at times she will have to use her polearm of choice for support, barely able to stay standing. Fainting from overexertion won't be uncommon, either. I'm open to have this a weakness that can be overcome or keep it permanently, whichever works best.
Willpower: Minako used to have an incredibly strong and sturdy willpower. She had drive, she had passion, and she had the mental fortitude to keep at it. Now, the redhead is left with nothing. Mental attacks are incredibly potent, she can no longer shake away her fears and insecurities, she constantly doubts herself, and gives up as soon as difficulty comes about. She might be able to recover some of her passion if she ever found her friends, but for the time being, Minako has fallen into despair, and isn't getting out of it. One could say she has developed Apathy Syndrome, the same syndrome she fought to defeat all year.
Fear of Guns: Funnily enough, this doesn't apply to her S.E.E.S pistol, though if she sees a firearm it will affect her in some way. Maybe dredge up some bad memories if used by a friendly, or freeze her still if used by an enemy. If a gun is pointed at her with the intent to harm, or at least intimidate, it's incredibly likely Minako will break down and cry.
Spirits:
Kindred Spirits:
Junpei Iori - Minako's closest friend and longtime ally, she began to develop feelings for him, even as he fell in love with another girl. The girl in question, Chidori, gave her consent for Minako to 'look after Junpei' before she died, trading her own life for his. Yet with how she is now, could Minako ever hope to live up to his image of her?
Morgan - A tactician from another world, Morgan shares many of the same qualities as Minako, hiding them behind a playful facade. He is looking for his mother, father, and sister, who were all taken by the light in this world.
Joker - The leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, Joker and Minako share the burden of leadership. They've both lost a lot due to the all-encompassing light, and find relation in their missing friends' similarities. She is something of a fangirl of his, not that she would openly admit to that...
Inventory:
Iron Naginata: A simple wooden naginata with an iron blade. Kinda sucks, but it's better than nothing.
Evoker: The infamous S.E.E.S pistol used to evoke a persona. Works as intended: to terrify and traumatise.
Headphones: What good P3P protagonist doesn't bring their headphones and trusty MP3 player?
Soma: A lucky leftover from Tartarus, thankfully not needed during the Battle of Nyx. Will completely reinvigorate allies and heal all injuries, though she only has one...
Smash representation for FE is a crime, in all honesty. It makes me kinda sad :( The series could have its own version of the assist trophy with all the characters, but instead, they only include lords and swordfighters. I'm pretty sure every single FE rep (assist trophies included; spirits excluded) uses a sword (unless your name is Tiki, who doesn't use a weapon anyway). You have a series filled with mages, archers, dragons, brutes, lancers, cavaliers, and tonnes of legendary weapons, and you're telling me not a single fucking one isn't a sword user? Not one?
S A K U R A I B O I I'm not one to care about representation according to popularity, but damn if Smash screwed up their representation of FE. I do recommend the game if you're into giving chess a 25 hour+ story with some great replayability, particularly Awakening, as it truly is a great place to get into the series. But by god do I dislike the treatment the series got in Smash. As much as I like Roy, Lucina and Chrom, they really don't deserve to be there as copies of Marth. Why not use Lyn? Or Hector? Or Erika? Or Alm? Someone who doesn't use a sword? Why didn't they just continue the tradition of adding FE characters for upcoming titles and put in Edelgard? I'm not even that deep in the series!
Keep Ike, Marth (or Roy), Robin and Corrin, to keep it at one character a game and have a clear distinction between them. One's a fencer, a heavy hitter, a mage, and a dragon, then we work from there. We really don't need 4 Marths >_> At least Ike is OP now, so that's nice.
But yeah I agree with you completely XD And I don't know about Pokemon, but there is a SMT/FE crossover called "Tokyo Mirage Sessions", which is surprisingly good, but it's on the WiiU >_>
This. I absolutely love Female Robin and playing her in Smash, but it was going to be too much work to play her right. Meanwhile I've 100% in Borderlands 2 with every character at OP8 and I know them like the back of my hand. It really was an obvious choice to make.
Plus, I really fucking love haiku. Getting to talk in only haiku? Yes please. It's amusing watching other players try to figure out what he means, and trying to make posts from someone that canonically has almost no lore is a lot of fun.
I actually had 3 choices for the immediately obvious character. Zer0, Gaige, and Athena. Given the characters that were already made when I was making that choice, Zer0 seemed like the best option for what the team could use. And, as I said, the most fun.
He was actually my first character on BL2, followed by Gaige then Maya then the Psycho, then Axton, and finally Sal. While in BL:tPS it was Nisha and then Athena then others. But damn, Athena is such a fucking BA.
Robin and the magical attacks with the character would've been a ton of fun, but I don't like to play characters I'm not familiar with. It's a shame, honestly, but it is what it is.
Did somebody say best girl? Not to worry, if I get the chance I've already called dibs on her dork of a son, so that should be interesting ;) But if you married anyone other than Chrom, then I will have strong urges to smother you with fanart to make you change your heathen ways!
@Lmpkio Dork son reporting potentially in future, so if someone did get their hands on Robin as a secondary, we can make some nice characterisation c:

Another where time goes in the opposite direction, and species begin as gods, and wind backwards to cells, and never learn
to survive.
