Thought: A Hamilton-esque comedy-musical about the Russian Revolution, from Trotsky's point of view. Lenin would take a Washington-type role, the Tsar would be King George, and Stalin is Jefferson

@Ophidian How do you think I feel? I'm 40-odd years behind you, and that STILL holds true for me.

Just here for a bit of roleplay occasionally. I have an odd schedule, so please don't get too upset if I disappear. I'll do my best to let you know beforehand, though.

The year is 1942, and the world is at war, One side on the world stage where everyone can see, the other half behind the curtain. Yet still there is another layer, below the stage and the curtain, in the dark depths that nobody ever gets to see, besides yourselves. Both the Allies, and the Axis have begun investigative programs into lost and forbidden areas, in hopes of finding weapons, secrets, or technologies capable of giving them the advantage necessary to win the war.

In Western Europe, the British forces have begun delving into the lost arts of Pagan Druidic rituals and magic, in hopes of uncovering some way of combating their foes. The Americans, driven by Axis scientific and Occult advances, have begun both a project dedicated to creating superhuman soldiers, known as Project Washington, and consulting with native populations of North America in hopes of utilizing their shamanistic magics against the Axis forces.

The Italians, with their control of Rome and access to Europe’s cathedrals, have forced their way into Catholic vaults to uncover the relics locked within. The Germans have already been active in this field for some time and rumors are they have seen some success, and are delving into the scientific community in search of more powerful fuel sources. The goal being to advance their technological output, while also investigating the ancient runic powers of the Norse and Scandinavians.

The Soviets are rumored to have uncovered significant technology from within the Arctic Ice and the lands of the far North, though their origins are unexplained. The Japanese have begun to experiment with Shinto rituals, while also using the occupation of Chinese and southeast Asian land to investigate ancient ruins and mystic temples in eastern Asia.

The group plays members of a paranormal investigation agency known as the Rutherford Organization. Founded by Dr. Victor Rutherford in 1919, the group was founded after the discovery of the former Central Powers having performed experiments and research of occult nature in the Balkans during the Great War. Dr. Rutherford has since gone missing, but the organization continues to further this cause, with extra speed thanks to officially-unofficial monetary backing by the Allied forces.

So this is an idea I've been sitting on for a while. I've already got an initial first adventure fully fleshed out, all I need are 3-4 willing participants, and I'm ready to post an OOC. Any takers?
@HostileI'd be interested, but I'm concered that if only 3 people are actually playing members of the military, that anyone else who joins the RP wouldn't get as much "spotlight" so to speak. That the RP would be too focused on those 3 characters and anyone else who joined wouldn't get an appropriate time or amount of story focused on their characters, not to mention playing random civilians in a primarily military-themed RP is rather boring. Had you listed this as a "small group" RP under the tags opposed to it currently being listed as a "large group" this could be excusable. But saying you want a "large group", then telling everyone you only want 3 people to be the 'important' roles is kinda upsetting to people.

Also the Abrams(and by extension most all modern tanks) have a crew of four people, the loader, gunner, pilot, and commander/radio operator. I'd imagine that a tank 800 years in the future would easily be advanced enough to both accommodate and require around 8-10 people.
@DannyrulxOkay, will do. I honestly wasn't sure how this character would go over, so I'm glad the changes don't affect much.
@Dannyrulx Here's a character sheet for you!

I'm still here.
I'll try to be around for this one.
@DannyrulxThrowing my interest into the pot as well.
@Rusalka

"Yes, Major." David said, kneeling down to pick up his headset and slip it back under his helmet. Pressing the earpiece to his head, he continued to cycle through the frequencies, before finally finding one that the Yellows were using as a backup. Hearing frantic yelling, David recognized a voice repeating what he had memorized as sector names in the Yellows' language. Snapping his fingers and gesturing towards the group of Reds, he called out "Map! Someone get me a map, quick!" Someone rushed up to him and handed him a crumpled map. Unfolding it, David scanned over it before shooting a death glare at the man who gave it to him. "This is a map of KYRGYZSTAN you idiot! Where did you even get that?! Get me a map of the local area!" He balled the map up and threw it at the man's head, as someone handed him a more local map. Tracing a finger over the map, he shouted "I got it! They're at How Roger Three Three Four."
@Rusalka

David jumped a bit when the Major flipped off the radio, starting to speak in protest, but deciding it better if he just answered her question. "None so far, Major. 200 frequencies, and all but three of them are static. You're welcome to listen in, but I doubt you'll find anything new." With that, he flipped the radio back on, tuned it to the third of the frequencies he'd found with a working broadcast, as that one seemed the most usable, and slid the headset off from under his helmet, handing it to Helena as he stood. Sliding the pack onto his back, he turned so that the controls faced the Major, waiting for a confirmation of what he'd found.
David sat cross-legged on the dirt ground, his radio resting in his lap, one hand pressing the earpiece against his head, the other fiddling with the various dials and switches. When the gunshot rang out, David reflexively reached for his rifle, but after hearing the following shouts, he realized it was a false alarm, and turned the volume nob up on the radio, returning to searching the frequencies. It had been a while since the last batch of orders had come in, and David was fairly sure people were starting to catch on that what he was telling them to do HADN'T come from command. As he cycled through the frequencies, most of what he heard was static, but a few of the frequencies provided chatter. The first was some kind of repeat emergency broadcast that he was fairly certain was worthless by now. From there, he found one station broadcasting a series of messages in the Yellow's crazy language. On the last working station he checked, he found battle chatter, though he could not tell if it was from Reds or Blues. Sighing in frustration, he popped open the hatch of the cassette player he had jury-rigged to run off of the radio, and popped in an old song he found. Drumming his fingers on the top of the radio box along to the beat, he glanced around him, trying to stay somewhat aware.
