Thought: A Hamilton-esque comedy-musical about the Russian Revolution, from Trotsky's point of view. Lenin would take a Washington-type role, the Tsar would be King George, and Stalin is Jefferson

@Ophidian How do you think I feel? I'm 40-odd years behind you, and that STILL holds true for me.

Just here for a bit of roleplay occasionally. I have an odd schedule, so please don't get too upset if I disappear. I'll do my best to let you know beforehand, though.

@JBRam2002Simpson, similar to the title of the infamous animated sitcom that many Americans enjoy.
@LauderDo you mean THE American pastime, baseball, or any random one, such as football, basketball, eating, watching TV, shooting guns?
@JBRam2002I'll let you in on a little secret: I'm not actually a Soviet, I just play one online.
The year is 1920, and following the Great War, many regions of Europe are facing social collapse, with worker's strikes, union formations, and even revolutions becoming increasingly common. In one such place, a small nation by the name of Borovia, the fires of revolution burn in its capital city of Asnio. Ruled by a corrupt robber baron who holds both the government and military in his pocket, and controls the streets with his own paramilitary force of Blackshirts, the city suffers from many injustices. Children as young as eight years old are forced to work 12 hour shifts in grueling factory conditions, with many already suffering from accident-related injuries. The starving and homeless litter the streets as people are forced from their homes to make way for the next newest factory or assembly line, and sanitation is all but nonexistent. Ultimately, the people of Asnio have had enough, and have begun to take to the streets, forming protests, strikes, riots, and even calling for the violent replacement of the current government, and the execution of the infamous Robber Baron of Asnio.

Now here's the kicker: We won't be playing the heroic revolutionaries, seeking to depose the corrupt leadership. No, we'll be playing the paramilitary Blackshirts under the thumb of the Baron. Some of us may be honest and good people, simply doing what is necessary to keep our families alive, while others in our ranks may be corrupt, ruthless criminals, reveling in the oppression of the downtrodden. All that truly matters, is that it's our job to dispose of the city's troublemakers...at least for now.

So any takers?
@LauderI have posted my character, and await your response.
Lucius Abmius

Age:
23

Race:
Turian

Sex:
Male

Biotic:
N

Profession:
Military Medic

Personality:
Lucius is very much a model Turian, seeing this as the culmination of his service to the Hierarchy, wanting nothing more than to perform properly in his tasks as both a medic and a soldier. He's dutiful to his superiors, properly disciplined to his subordinates, and is calm and collected under pressure. However, his non-service personal skills are somewhat lacking, with natural conversation and small talk being somewhat difficult for him. He does have a few of his own hobbies, however, namely collecting samples of flower-like plants from the worlds he visits, and he enjoys the subject of fauna greatly.

Appearance:
Lucius is a a standard Turian male in most regards, with the greyish-khaki, metallic skin signature to his race, prominent head ridges and spines of a male, and standing tall on the bird-like legs they are accustomed to. Having been born on the Turian homeworld, his face is bare rather than donning any traditional markings of a colony, leaving him open to ridicule from some of the more traditionally-minded Turians. His walk, movements, and body language are very much that of a soldier, uniform and straight in movement and form.

His usual outfit is the red and white uniform of a military medic, crisp, clean and neat across his form, while in combat he wears a similarly-colored set of light combat armor, complete with a specially-fitted helmet.

History:
Lucius was born upon the Turian homeworld, Palaven. He grew up as a respectable member of society, always showing remarkable responsibility for his actions, and always seeking to help those around him. His teenage years saw him build for a career path, initially offering his aid to various civilian relief clinics and other public health facilities, before applying for medical school in the later years, eventually being accepted. He gratefully attended medical school, earning top marks in many of his classes, before his mandatory years of military service came about, and he was drafted into the turian military.

After being drafted, Lucius was trained to operate as a combat medic and field hospital doctor, and after finishing his training, found himself both at the front and the rear of many fights and battles against pirates, criminal organizations, and other disreputable forces. This would give him his first real instances of combat and operating under fire. Lucius' resolve held fast, and he stuck with the military.

Now, Lucius has been called upon to serve against a new threat, a rogue, newly discovered species violating Council law. He has answered the call, and seeks to serve with honor and integrity against this new threat.

Talents:

  • Combat First Aid
  • Military Hospital Experience
  • Training in Heavy Pistols, Submachine Guns, and Light Armor

Equipment

  • Standard-Issue submachine gun and heavy pistol
  • Uniform and Light Combat Armor denoting a military medic
  • Field medical kit, as well as access to the more extensive equipment of field hospitals.

Other:
He keeps a small collection of pressed flowers and flower-like plants from several different worlds, and plans to collect more. He also
I'm not saying he's a racist. I am saying that us non whites need to move up the plan for white genocide, the motherfucker is onto us.

So we may need to work out some scheduling, cause I was planning a pro-Communist purge of Fascism and Nationalism, and I'd rather it not conflict with your genocide. How about I take the 6th, and you can follow-up on the 7th?

Let's not forget this was a thing that happened.
@Dynamo FrokaneThese are definitely statements that put him on my personal "keep an eye on" list, so to speak. They for certain hold the usual rhetoric of far-right organizations, particularly those associated with white nationalism or white supremacy. Likely, he's being caught up in something that's simply far bigger than him or his demographic, and all we can really hope is that he sees the negative in the comments he's made, before its too late.

Verdun: Crawl through 300 feet of mud, craters and barbed wire, only to die to an asshole with a maxed-out machine gun

Battlefield 1: See above, but EVERYONE is the asshole with the machine gun.
