Current It's been a long time, RPGuild. I hope you're all well.

Bio

HI THERE~!

Thank you for visiting my profile!

You can call me Destiny. I am a 26-year-old pansexual woman from the USA who has been roleplaying since 2007. I got my start on a Kingdom Hearts fan-forum, and now here I am! My roleplaying interests include slice-of-life, romance, drama, fantasy, and anime fandom. Did I mention I am a HUGE otaku? :D

I write at a high-casual/advanced level as far as the amount of content I write per-post, but I'm not into flowery language most of the time. My writing is very simple, with a lot of the focus being on the characters and how their thoughts and feelings are developing. Realism is the name of my game! This stems from the fact that, when I am not roleplaying or slaving away for a large technology conglomerate at my day job, I am working on plays and films as a professional actress. With this being my passion, it's quite literally my job to pick apart each character's brain to find the motivation behind their words and actions. I'm just saying, that kind of obsession shows in my writing.

For my partners, I mostly do 1x1 RPs unless a group really catches my eye. I expect 2-3 paragraphs per post and prefer those who can respond at least once a day. Original stories catch my eye more than fandoms, but I don't rule anything out until I've tried it- trust me, if something's not working I'll let you know. I do not write smut, but if it is story-driven I will consider 18+. I'm really not picky; these are just guidelines for how to *guarantee* I will love our RP! I've been surprised before!

A fair warning in advance: I'm also a little crazy. I am diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression, so if I am feeling off I may just stop responding. My mental health does come first. Rest assured, I will pick up the pieces and clear my head enough to reply soon. I use my writing as an outlet, so I can never stay away more than a couple of days. That being said, my Guild partners are my family. Y'all have helped me through the worst times of my life and continue to remind me why I'm still alive on this Earth. So just know that I am here to do the same for any of you, even if we've just met. :)

Anywho, if this sounds like your thing then shoot me a PM! I swear I'm friendly, albeit a little strange, and I don't bite (hard)!

@NuttsnBolts Nope, no day system. It's best with RPs like this to pretend time doesn't exist, because some people get really into stories with other characters that I would hate to rush. So it's ok if it's all one day, or even if your character goes to the next day and the rest haven't. :)
@OldManWong That's ok. :) Post when you can!

If y'all are stuck feel free to start the tour!
Whoa... I was only gone a couple days because life got a bit busy. :( What did I miss? Looks like my character is alone, now...
So, uhm... Is this still happening? :o
Cinera walked through the center of town, giving a bit of a sad sigh. Well, this was dumb... I haven't even met most of their group, yet. Why did I run off? And how many people am I buying food for, anyways? Shaking her head, she figured that she would just buy the items she needed and then use the rest to get food. After all, she had a pickaxe in her inventory... She could always mine some ore to sell, later. She seemed to remember there being some near the next town. If there was one good thing about this game, it was that money wasn't insanely difficult to gain. Unfortunately though, that did not mean that the items in town were cheap, by any means.

Quickly, she walked into a nearby shop and saw another player leaving, looking very happy with himself. He must have just made a good purchase. Surely this shop had something useful, right? Wrong. As she went inside, she saw that most of the good items had been sold. Most of what was left were daggers and spears - the starter items that she was trying to get rid of. The shopkeeper was only an NPC, and he said that he didn't have anything else available, so she figured she would need to try another shop. Cinera headed back into the main square and looked for another weapons seller. An armor shop then caught her eye, so she figured that she could at least get some upgrades for the clothes she had on. After all, she liked the way they looked... but they were low-protection. They would need to be endowed before they would actually be any use.

Much to her surprise, it cost her nearly half of her money to upgrade the defense of both the top and the shorts of her outfit. Well, that weapon would have to wait... but at least she was better-protected against the death that seemed to be looming over every player she saw. It sent shudders down her spine to know that these were all real people who were in real danger, here. At least everyone seemed to want to fight back, at this point. Except for Sapphira, which she still had trouble understanding. Life might have been bad, but surely having death constantly at your back was worse? Unless that was what her real life felt like. She did say that she was in the hospital, right now...

Whatever the case, Cinera knew that she had to train and get better. Her little katana, though not a starter weapon, was not going to get her very far. She loved the weight and feel of it - light and easy to handle, great for a VR newbie such as herself - but it had very low attack power. It would be awhile before she could safely move on from this town. Perhaps the group was better off without her? The ache in her heart told her that she would only get them killed...

As Cinera headed back through the square, looking for a place that she could maybe buy some cheap bread, she noticed a tall man in a mask standing nearby. He stood out a lot from the other players she saw, as he carried a huge scythe on his back. Not only that, but he had these piercing blue eyes that seemed to stare into her soul, even when he wasn't looking at her. It was intimidating. Nervously, she glanced away, only to notice the jackal sniffing around beside him. Her eyes went wide and she couldn't help but to stare in amazement. Is that... Is that a jackal?!?! Oh my GOSH he is so CUTE! A wide smile crossed her lips as she gazed at it in awe, unaware that she was standing there gaping like an idiot. Animals were her favorite thing in the world, and she wished more than anything that she had the skill to tame something of that level, in this game. She would be unbeatable if she had her dire wolf from her other non-VR MMO by her side... It made her heart swell with happiness just to look at the majestic creature. Wow... He must be pretty amazing if he tamed something like that early on... I haven't even seen any other jackals around here...
@Saz You may also break the boundaries of time, if you wish... So if you ever want to speed up a class or something and run into the tour group, feel free to have that as an option. ;) We don't have as many characters as I thought for this RP, so they could probably share a few classes with non-seniors if you really want them to.
"Good luck with that," a young voice called from where she was sitting on the round chair, phone in hand. Isabel was quickly texting away, gazing at the phone with a huge grin on her face. "I already tried asking. Though maybe that's because I'm just too useless to be any help." A sort of somber look crossed her expression for a brief moment before she suddenly took a swig from her dull, obviously very-used flask. Then she snapped the phone shut and leapt to her feet. "BUT the party is almost ready to start, anyway! Why don't we listen to something a bit more upbeat?" Without a second though, she hurried over to the radio and sifted through the music until she found one that was loud and blaring. Turning it up, she jumped up onto the couch beside Jada and began to dance wildly, laughing and giggling.

Yes, Isabel was already slightly tipsy. Actually, she always seemed to be in a mild state of euphoria, these days, thanks to that trusty flask of hers. It was hooked onto the belt of her sexy pirate costume, fitting in nicely with her current appearance, but not-so-nicely at school. Her large, puffy white shirt hung low in all of the right places, as the red corset she wore vastly accentuated her petite frame. A pleated skirt wrapped around her waist to hang over her backside, yet revealing long and slender legs in the front. Yet somehow, the heeled boots and traditional captain's hat had already found their way onto the floor near the door.

Isabel may have been even more drunk than usual, as she knew that tonight was the night. It made her nervous and scared and all kinds of other things she did not want to be feeling. Especially sad. Tonight was not a night to feel sad. So, she made sure to bring something extra-special to get them all through the night. As she remembered this, she gave a loud gasp and jumped from the couch to run to her bag. "OH! Holly! I forgot, by the way... I brought something extra-special!" With a sly grin, she held out her backpack to her close friend. "I got the good stuff!!!"

Inside was a bottle of Captain Morgan's Spice Rum. Fitting, actually, but she had managed to sneak it from her father's cupboard before school, once they had both left for work. It was a decently-sized bottle, and a miracle that no one had caught her with it during class.

Colton walked in from the restroom, covering his ears. "Augh! Turn that crap down! If you're gonna blast music, at least play something good..." His eyes flickered around the room, observing the group. This was a very stressful night, but everybody was playing it off as if nothing was wrong. He just couldn't understand. How were they hiding their feelings so well? At the thought of seeing Rosie again, his insides were... shuddery, to say the least. Good or bad, he couldn't tell.

Tonight he was dressed in a dorky Peter Pan getup - a cute way of supporting his girlfriend in her costume choice. The dark brown tights clung tightly to his toned legs and body, draped by a cheesy neon-green tunic and a matching brown belt. He hadn't really had any preferance for Halloween, but Holly's eyes had lit up when they found it at the costume store. If it made her laugh and smile, it was the only thing he wanted to be for the holiday. Her happiness was what kept him going, especially now, since he had been struggling so much with Rosie's death. Hopefully she didn't know that, though... Colton had tried his best to hide just how sad he was. After all, she might get the wrong idea. They had only been together for a short while before Rosie died, and the last thing he wanted was for her to be jealous of her dead best friend... Plus, Holly had been dealing with this, too. He wanted to be there for her.

Smiling sweetly, he approached Holly from behind and wrapped his strong arms around her waist, tenderly. "You sure you don't need any help?" He asked, now the third person to approach her about party set-up. It wasn't like a huge party or anything (and hopefully it wouldn't be, if Isabel would keep her drunk ass off of her phone), so she didn't need to push herself so hard just for them. They were a pretty tight-knit group of people, so of course any of them would jump to each other's aid when they could. "I'm really good at helping..." He mumbled playfully against her ear, resting his chin upon her shoulder. She was so cute when she was focused. Based on the amount of liquor she was pouring into the punch, he had a feeling that she was a bit tense about tonight. He wanted her to just relax and have a good time. If she wanted to talk to Rosie, fine. But he still thought messing with the dead was a bad idea...
Cinera felt an ache in her chest as Sapphira spoke. She seemed to not feel any need at all to go back to the real world... But what would be so different here than over there? Just her status? Even despite all of this, she was surprised that this small stranger had decided to even open up to her about so many personal things. It might have been a part of her culture if she was from a different world, or maybe she just had no reservations about certain things. Whatever the case, Cinera made it a point to listen carefully and politely as she told her story.

"I... I am so sorry..." That was all she could think to say, at a time like this. After all, no words would make anything like that better. And if she had come to this world seeking an escape, then she was still able to achieve her purpose for coming to this world. That was where they began to differ from one another. Cinera had come to this world just to explore VR gaming, not to stay. She did not want to stay, even if her parents were gone all of the time. Even if she had to go back to two exhausting jobs just to pay for the new, expensive games as they came out. She knew that even the bad things were part of life, and she needed those just as much as she needed the things that made her happy.

Something told her, however, that Sapphira wouldn't understand that, right now. So she sat down next to the small girl and gave her a tiny hug, the only consolation that she could offer to someone who had been through some awful times. Cinera couldn't even imagine what it would be like to be outcast, or even kidnapped... It was the unthinkable horror that nobody ever liked to discuss. Thank goodness she was even alive and able to play a game like this. Feeling a bit awkward at things having become so personal, she pushed her bright orange hair out of her eyes and smiled. "Well, at the very least, I'm happy that we got to meet... That's something. But I just can't stay here. I mean, won't our bodies fall apart in the real world, anyway...?" Horror crossed her expression. "Maybe... Maybe it'd be best just to die quickl-"

Her thoughts were interrupted as a stranger came up to greet them. Immediately, Cinera stood and pulled her hood back over her head, nervously. "H-Hello..." She said, nervously. The newcomer seemed to pay her little mind, though, as he discussed certain matters with Sapphira. It seemed almost like a business deal. Not wanting to get in the way, she decided to go buy something to eat. "Uhm... I'll be right back, okay? I think I'd like to stay with you and your group, if that's okay... I saved a little money from getting here, so I'll go buy us some food!" And with that, she nervously ran towards the shops in town to buy materials to cook with. I... I can't believe I actually found a group to join...!
Scott stopped dead in his tracks at Elizabeth's final words before her departure. She... She can tell? His blue eyes followed her as she hurried past in him the hallway, no doubt heading to the welcome back ceremony. This girl... was different. He couldn't quite tell what it was, but the other girls never paid enough attention to tell when he was lying or not. He wasn't even a good liar. For some reason, though, his classmates and family and "friends" were always blinded by his talents and never really understood when he was feeling pain or anguish of any kind. All anybody ever saw was that perfect golden boy with no care in the world. What made this girl say that...? It appalled him.

Suddenly, he heard little drops hitting the ground and realized the blood was now seeping through his fingers. Oh, right... Once again, he made his way towards the infirmary to have his nose taken care of. This girl really had made an impression on him. Whether it was good or bad was yet to be determined. Although she did seem to be perceptive when it came to people, he was still leaning toward bad. She doesn't seem to be like the kind of person to apply herself, very much... Judging on her level of preparedness for class, I'd have to say she will be at the bottom of the class very soon. I wouldn't be surprised if she had a mental breakdown. He chuckled to himself, having seen other students experience something similar. It might be pretty funny... But it'd be well-deserved. Lazy people blame everyone else for their problems, when actually they bring them upon themselves. If they just did the damn work, maybe they'd stop blaming me... Scott was definitely tired of hearing things like, "I hate you! Your grades are amazing!" and "Share some of that genius with the rest of us!" Even as jokes, he still couldn't help but to feel like an outcast.

"Okay, you're all set." A small voice broke him out of his thoughts as he realized the nurse had finished bandaging up his nose. "Please be more careful next time, okay? Here are a some painkillers to help you get through the day. If they wear off, come back so I can give you some more. You sure you wouldn't rather just head to the hospital right now...? Your teachers would understand." Scott shook his head fervently. "No thank you," He replied as he stood. No, he needed to get to that assembly... Emily was waiting for him. She was going to be so upset... Though he kind of enjoyed the idea of her seeing his nose and being super worried about it. She had never been one to coddle people, but maybe she'd make an exception for him... heh.

The assembly began shortly after that. Scott had walked in the door just as the cheerleaders were finishing up their routine. Crap... Being the Vice President, his speech was first. So he would have to go on right now, without getting to see Emily. This day just kept getting better, didn't it? As he was introduced, Scott hurried over to the backstage area and stood next to his beautiful girlfriend, who seemed very stressed out. Once she saw him, a look of rage shot across her face - until she saw his bandaged nose. Her jaw dropped a little and surprise grew in her eyes. Maybe... Maybe even a little concern? He gave her a calming smile, but that was all that he could do before the applause began and he ran onto the stage.

"What's up Eastview High!!!" He shouted into the microphone, grinning widely as his peers began to go wild. This was where the students took over and the boring ceremony turned into a real party. Perhaps it was because of the council, but Scott was like an entirely different person in front of his classmates. He was the popular, cool, party animal that everyone seemed to want him to be. Or at least, he acted like one. It was more of an instinct rather than anything he forced himself to do. Maybe he was the type of person who just didn't like to cause a commotion, but he did what he could to fit in whenever it was possible. He didn't consider that "faking" though, he just thought he had a bit of a blank personality that his classmates filled with their expectations of him. It wasn't like he was doing anything he didn't like to do, and while he didn't like the attention he did love to do things for other people. Just like Emily. God, she was so perfect... He could talk about how perfect she was all day.

"Alright, alright... Shhhh!" He laughed as the students finally simmered down. "Thanks for the warm welcome! As they said, I'm Scott Jacobs, your student council VP, and man is it good to be back!" His dorky grin made some of the students laugh. "Now, we have a few more guests for you to help kick off the school year, but I don't think you'd want to see them..." Some students yelled in protest and he gave a sly, sneaky smile. "I dunno... I think y'all aren't ready for it, yet. You're not LOUD enough!" Taking that as a cue, the whole auditorium of people began to cheer and stomp their feet as loud as they could. It was so easy to get everyone riled up.

"Now that's what I like to hear! Before we begin though, I have to introduce you to my favorite person..." A sort of sparkle shone in his eyes as he began to say this part - a true happiness that seemed to come from a deeper place within him. "I'll give you a hint. She's someone that most of you know, she's smart and beautiful... and she's my smoking hot girlfriend, so new guys-hands off." This made a lot of the upperclassmen laugh, and at a glance he saw that Emily was giving him a look as she laughed, embarrassed. Hey, he had to get one tease in there. "Give it up for the lovely miss Emily Jackson!"

Another round of crazy screaming welcomed her to the stage as she waved, an equally-dorky grin spread across her own lips as she went to join Scott at his place on the stage. "Thank you," She said politely, a bit more toned-down than Scott but just as energetic and full of spirit. "We've got so many great things planned for you guys this semester, you have no idea!" Her eyes shown with enthusiasm. Indeed, they had met probably a million times during the summer to plan out Emily's many extravagant ideas for the school year - because you can't have just one grand shebang, apparently. "And we're going to tell you about them! But first, let's introduce our sports teams for the year!"

The ceremony continued on with Emily at the helm and Scott providing a sort of comedic relief. They really did work well together, and they did it often so it was like clockwork to the two of them. Each of the sports coaches and their team captains came up to speak a little bit, starting with football and ending with basketball. Then, Emily proceeded to show a video she had made of the neat events coming up this year - homecoming, the winter ball, the food drive, Christmas charity events, fundraisers, prom, graduation, the senior class trip, and all kinds of things. When it came to planning events, Emily was not stingy. And she was too excited to only share a few of them, as Scott had suggested. Nobody was going to remember all of that, but they would see the events as they came up.

"Alright! It looks like that's all we've got for you," Emily said. The students boo'd, wanting to stay longer to keep out of class. "I know, I know," She retorted and smiled, sincerely happy that they were at least seeming to have a good time. "But we need to buckle down and study first, to make those awesome events happen! You will be released to lunch from here and then back to your homeroom to finish out the day early. Here's to another great year, Bulldogs!" The crowd cheered one final time before the administrators took over, rounding everybody up to release them for a 45-minute lunch break. Scott led Emily backstage by the hand, feeling relieved that all of the nonsense was over with. It was one thing to plan the events, but to present them was... considerably more difficult.

Once they were away from prying eyes, Emily flipped. "Oh my god, Scott!!! What did you do?" Her hands quickly moved to cup his cheeks, observing his broken nose closely. "I slipped..." He admitted, feeling pretty un-cool in that moment, in front of the one person he actually wanted to impress. She tried to stifle a laugh, and he shot her a look. "Hey, it's not funny!" He said, seeming to pout a little. "I had a really bad morning, and then this all happened because of this stupid, lazy girl..." Emily seemed interested, but Scott knew that was because of her strange little hobby. For whatever reason, she always felt the need to personally reach out to new students who were struggling and attempt to help them. If a girl broke his nose on the first day of school, of course she would want to meet her.

"Poor baby... Well, would some lunch help?" Scott realized just how starving he was, after eating nothing but that toast, this morning. "Absolutely," was his quick and immediate reply. She smiled and held his hand while they walked to the lunchroom together. She must have asked a hundred times on the way there if it was alright for him to be there, or if his nose hurt too bad, but honestly Scott wouldn't have left if he was bleeding out. Right now, and especially with the crappy morning he had, he just wanted to be with her.
Ouija board... This is going to get interesting. :D

@Saz By "along with her closest friends" did you mean that they had all gone home with her after school, or they had all gone to their own homes? I just want to be sure where to start. :)
