"Well we are flexible in our schedules, we meet up whenever we are free and not out of equipment." he said with a dry laugh. Not a good way to let a possible entrant know of their shortcomings. But, he felt that Akane wasn't the kind to dwell on such matters for long.

"We can work out a Monday and Thursday if you are interested. We usually practise in spurts. It's mostly Inoue though, she nags us into training her. A real fiesty one, that." he said with a smile. It was the reason he liked Inoue, she didn't mess her words and was pretty straight forward and simple.

Akane, turned down his offer for the help which didn't bother him much. Afterall it was an artist's choice whether to do that or not. But he felt he'll let her know about her professional aspirations.

"I think it will help you if you are looking to turn professional. The deadlines would be really something, at that time going out and searching for a beta or background worker would be troublesome. But your call, I admit, there is nothing like completing something on your own." he then fished into his bag to take out a steel lunch box, really spartan and boxy like himself. He opened it to reveal some onigiri rolls, delicately rolled and designed with the wonders of Japan as a theme.

"Would you like some." he offered.

After parting ways with the shy girl Alexei made his way to his sister. It wasn't hard to find her in the crowded stall since her height and his viewing angle were much different than the others. Sorting out a few things that she had intented to buy, they made their way to the counter and made the pay out. The cashier handed her another bag and called it complimentory so Alexei left it at that.

The smile on his baby sister's face was enough to allay any queries he may have had on the sudden gift. After getting a few sandpapers and few other supplies from the hardware store they went home. The spree had cost him about hundred thousand yen but he'd put it down as a time well spent.

Elena on the other hand was extremely happy with her purchase of the day. They were all set for golden week now.

His knives were getting dull and with his obstinate nature to cook for his sister he needed them in peak condition. He immediately got to work as they got home. Affixing the rougher sandpaper on the makeshift block he had made himself. The Yamagiba and Deba were his primary ones so they needed to be frighteningly sharp. The Usuba could be done later. Elena on the other hand got busy with adjusting the clothes and ironing the ones that were washed. Usually, her brother won't let her do household chores his reasoning being the time just interrupted her study time. But she had finished all the school work the day before and the extra reading was finished in the morning so she could manage helping him out even if he'd object.

The day ended smoothly as they ate dinner with their mother at the hospital and also showed her the gown and the swimwear they got her for their probable visit to the beach.

April 20 | After School.

The day dragged on, the classes were over. Inoue had stuff to do at home and Sagat didn't seem interested in practice so they decided to let it go. They also needed to talk with the Judo club to lend some of their used mats. Alexei's takedowns were a bit hard and though he was careful while handling Inoue, the latter still felt the hit when she got grappled. Some extra cushioning won't hurt. Already there were a few bruises on her fair skin from the usual assault she was under whenever she sparred with these two. The guys at the dojo seemed to meek to go hard on her.

Maybe they feared her trainer or just thought that she wasn't strong enough to take their hits. But she could vouch for the fact that Sagat's half serious kick was still in a different league altogether.

Alexei picked up his bag and decided to go check Manga club, maybe Akane would still be there. She usually hangs out alone. As he walked up to the club, he opened the room to find only her inside, playing on her DS.

"Oy! your roster shows much more people than they are always in here." he said in a joking tone. Dropping the bag on a nearby table.

"By the way, what did you think about MMA club, would you join?" he asked to her curiously.

"And, do you need any help with betas or backgrounds? I do a good job on those." he offered.

The brunette politely accepted his apology with a wave of her hand and added her own. Each time this happened to Alexei, it surprised him. For so long he had judged people based on his limited experience. It was hard to believe that his experiences earlier in life with just with some bad apples.

Then the young girl asked his school hesitantly to which he replied with a slight smile, "You are spot on with that. I do go to Warakuma High. Sadly, I can't say that I have seen you around as it is impolite to stalk girls around."

She rummaged through her bags as she plopped into a seat and asked him about his part-time job. Before announcing her own.

"Ah! well I work as a handy-man. I repair plumbing issues, electrical fittings, minor carpentry issues, touch ups and fixing. I also do a bit of landscaping and maintenance if the pay is right. Currently, employed with Mitsuka Repairs and Furnishings. They have an office here." he said before handing her the card.

"A friend of mine also works at a cafe, where is your workplace at? Maybe I can drop-by and help you with stuff if you need it." he offered her politely.

Meanwhile, Elena had found the perfect gift for her elder brother. A swimming shorts, for as long as they had been here. She hadn't once been to the beach and nor had she seen him lay back and relax. She wished that he needed a good break to keep on going. She put it into the basket she was carrying and went into the shoes section. Maybe she can get some trendy flats for herself. There was a big sale on.

He stretched his arms out in front to grab the bags from the young lady as she agreed to his help, forgiving during the course that he had forgotten to introduce himself properly. AS she fumbled an intent to know his name. He bowed deeper to show his mistake and said,

"Pardon my rudeness, miss. I'm Alexei Dragunov. Elder brother of Elena."

Waiting for her reply as he kept following her to a seat where he could drop the bags and let her sort herself out. He felt that he needed a better introduction so he added as they began walking again.

"Though I'm still in high school but I also work her part-time. Should you ever need any help regarding repairs or other handyman jobs, be sure to give me call. I'll put my card in the bag once we grab a seat. Do you need something to drink or are you alright after that mixup?"

He asked curiously, her hair covered most of her face so it was hard to discern her expressions and he also didn't want to be seen as a leering man. It would be easy to get on the wrong side seeing he was a foreigner among mostly Japanese folks.
