Brigit savored each bite as if given by god himself. Chewing slowly and taking in the flavor as Katherin spoke to break the silence. She patted on the ice girl's back to give her consent. She watched as the shy guy from yesterday walked in and had breakfast in front of them, apparently lost in his thought. Brigit just smiled at this scene as she enjoyed her morsels while watching over Katherin to see if she was eating as well. Having made a friend for perhaps the first time in her life, it could be said that Brigit was a bit possessive of her.

She saw that Katherin ate at a pace similar to her. It wasn't difficult to say that she looked rather beautiful as she chewed on her food. Deep crimson hair and a sculpted face with high cheekbones, Katherin was no less than a movie star. Brigit had seen posters on the road featuring heroines with features as good as hers, so she felt a little proud that he had made a friend who looked this good. A little blush formed on her bridge as she checked her train of thought and continued chewing slowly before finishing the meal.

She waited for Katherin to finish before picking her plate as well and taking it back to the kitchen. Cleaning them both with a little cleaning liquid and scrub to wipe clean any remnants. Patting it against on the orange prison dress she wore from yesterday, she took Katherin's hand and followed the shy guy from before to the gym.

Alexei Dragunov || April 29, Payday - Wednesday

The past few days had been quite good. Elena had managed to convince the doctor to let their mother go to the beach along with them. They had a quiet and fun time. Alexei also displayed his open grill skills to his mother who was quiet amazed by the cook Alexei was turning into. Elena had kept her updated with her lunch variety that he cooked for her daily but to see it with her own eyes nearly brought her to tears.

There was also the fact that each day, she was greeted with a wonderful Ikebana bouquet which set her mind in the right direction. She was still depressed and sad at their state but hope was finally budding inside her watching her two children grow up. Each a miracle considering their formative years.

The concern and worry she had for Alexei was allayed somewhat by the uttermost sincerity and devotion that shone in his eyes. She was confident that even without her being there to guide and shape his personality, he'd be the ideal husband. She chuckled a bit to herself at the thought and wondered if the hospital had made her go senile. Nevertheless, she was also glad to see how Elena was blossoming. She couldn't call herself a mother to the young one, Alexei had borne that burden alone. He had been her Father, Mother and brother.

Shaking her mind off such thoughts she just enjoyed the view ad the gentle breeze that blew, the fact that her children cherished and loved her was deeply moving. The day had been fun and the Dragunovs had a nice time in each others company. The girls also got to peek into Alexei's philosophical side on few instances.

Today, was payday. With his salary in hand and the packet he received from Miyamoto-san for his monthly expenses. Alexei went to the shopping square after settling the hospital expenses. Walking like an arrow, straight to the Shirohane Flowerstore he walked in as the bell chimed at the door.

"Good morning Kotori-san. How are you?" he asked the raved haired schoolmate. She seemed to be in the middle of showing another girl some flowers, Alexei ruffled his hair apologetically

"Sorry to intrude. I'll go meet Shirohane-dono." he bowed a bit before going to the back of the shop, knocking on the door to the backroom.

"Shirohane-dono! it's me Alexei." he said. Standing at the edge and speaking in a higher tone than his regular rumble, because his voice was a deep baritone, he rarely raised his voice. But on occasions he did, it seemed like small thunderclaps.

Brigit calmly looked at the whole fiasco and the housekeeper's intervention. She was a bit miffed by the mention of law, since her view of law was something to be mentioned in books and never actually followed. Being forced into a racket and beg for survival, she didn't have a high opinion of lawkeepers but she was incapable of expressing what she felt. She just quietly got up and filled two plates with bacon, cheese and toast. She neatly arranged a sandwich for Katherin as she glanced over at the tall amazon guzzling down her food like a competitor on a food eating run.

Her lithe physique and powerful demeanor were an attraction but she kept her thoughts to herself. Setting the plate it front of Katherin, she handed her the fork and knife, forgetting for a moment that she was blind. But without her tablet, it was impossible for her to prompt her friend to eat. She herself took a bite of the sandwich. The taste was bewitching. After going hungry for months on end, it was safe to say that Brigit had forgotten what food tasted like and she had mostly survived on stuff way past its expiry to know actual cooked food.

The bacon melted like butter, crisp and finely cut. She savored its taste as she licked her lips. Taking a look at Katherin and hoping she would eat something too.
