Naw, role-players could wield magic or possess supernatural traits, too. But, things like gargantuan monsters and transcendent entities would more likely be NPCs.

There are no real limitations to what your character could be and/or possess, so long as it in within reason. Just want to keep in mind that the population of this nation would primarily be human.
I'm not sure how the story would respond to a vampire, but if you can make it work, then so be it.

I was thinking the population of the nation itself would be human, as to better understand the focus from the human perspective. Maybe your character could be a human with vampire-like traits? or even a vampire settled in the nation itself.
I would like to create an RP about a nation's search for their Promised Land after being cast out of their old territory by some super-powerful force. Each role player would be some character within this nation, and the story would build around events throughout this journey.

I want a very minimal use of visuals, and there will be no map. My wish for this is to explore social, political, and spiritual issues that happen to arise throughout this RP. The focus would be more on the adventure with undertones of re-vamped philosophical ideas, social and political theory, and mythology. It will take place in some unspecified Ancient time in some fictional world.

As far as limits to fantasy, pretty much anything can happen. Magic, impossible creatures, and supernatural entities may play their roles, as long as it is within reason and they do not take too much focus away from focus.

I'm wondering if anybody would be interested in doing this with me.
I'm interested.
