My English Finals was to perfectly recite the theme song of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I've never felt so much accomplishment.

@Dirty Dan, While you'd be more accurate than average, you wouldn't be at inhuman levels. As that would require training with bow/ranged weapon you choose to use.

Yup, I agree.

Shounen-problem of the day right there. Sadly the clans are really specific in what they do.
Maybe for a Hyuuga you could skip the taijutsu style and instead focus on some long-range stuff that puts your eyes to good use?
Maybe focus on opening tenketsu (chakra holes) instead of closing them like we see everyone else do? (This is possible, I think Neji says it).
Maybe not have a tragic backstory about how you/your father/Some guy you just met was treated like trash by the main family?

I don't know, just trying to help.
Same problem with Aburame, really. Although they opened up for the use of many different kinds of bugs toward the end, Shino's Kikaichuu are just too cool to pass up. I do have a fun idea with mosquitoes though...

Haha, yeah, I can't really be bothered with the whole tragic backstory thing.

As for combat itself, I was thinking of having him utilize something long-ranged, making use of the inhuman accuracy and precision of the Byakugan from impossible distances/positions, with the Gentle Fist being used as a follow-up. A bow comes to mind, with my character developing different Chakra techniques and Jutsu to augment it's efficiency. I feel like there's a lot of things you can do with a bow and chakra.

Then again, my decision will depend on the character roster.
I believe that allowing others to choose their own Hero rank would probably be better, as long as you limit the amount of S-Ranks. This way, no one feels the need to have a dick-measuring contest. Those are never fun, haha. I do, however, think that you should eventually assign the appropriate rank to the heroes that are Unranked.

Hopefully, for the sake of character development, everyone doesn't try to start off at the top of the ladder.

I, personally, am going Unranked because Izuma hasn't really made himself known in the city yet. He hasn't even taken the Hero Association Exams.
Sounds like a good plan. If Dirty Dan is going with a Hyuuga, and Kal-El with an Inuzuka I feel a strong urge to go Aburame. Sensor team FTW!

That sounds pretty cool, actually.

The only problem I'm experiencing right now is creating a Hyƫga that isn't the same as every other member of his clan. That'd be a tad boring. I'll think on it, though.
@Dirty Dan
No go on the Kiri. Konoha and Kiri were on opposing sides of the war. Your character would likely be arrested, or just killed outright upon sight.

Sounds reasonable.
I have a character from a OPM role-play that went nowhere. I can provide edits/changes, but I believe that it holds everything necessary. It was built with the over the top theme of the One Punch Man universe in mind. Therefore, most of his power comes from his weaponry/technology, and not some supernatural strength.

Two teams is fine. But ever wonder why Durarara, One Piece etc is awesome?

They just don't focus on the main characters like the trio in this RP for instance. They have vast majority of roles that is outside of faction thus having multiple stories intertwining. We can have Konoha trio sure, what if we have somene from the police force etc?

Just a suggestion and giving ideas~

I think the main problem with that is because the GM isn't attempting to create an over-all open-world story. Judging by the title, the entire point of the RP is to focus on a specific team.

Even then, if someone were to create a police force character, realistically they would be role-playing by themselves the majority of the time.
That would certainly make it more plausible, although the explanation would need a little work. Perhaps for every student of the new class, two teams were chosen to be a joint group, under two sensei of course, because of the international threat and whispers of war.

That way the two teams aren't bunched together and forced to be in one squad, which would make the Exams and similar things more complicated.

Edit: Just me throwing out ideas. The end result is all up to the Boss, of course.
While I'm normally all about 'The More, the Merrier', isn't an eight-person squad a bit too much? No offense to anyone else, of course. That's just my thought.

Also, I'm currently debating between an orphan swordsman from Kiri, and the Hyuuga heir. I guess it'll depend on if the genin age is increased or not. I can't really see an orphan nine year old making it from Kiri to Konoha, but it's a bit more plausible for a 13 year old, I'd say.
And thus, from such passionate words, I am enlightened.
