To be quite frank, Digimon are able to control technology. Having more dangerous technology does not help.

Not even when that technology is literally extensions of themselves? Or more accurately: itself?
@thewizardguy

The guys who brought Gigan back to life are incredibly advanced. If they focused all their effort, they could give the enitre Digital world real trouble. But they're more concerned with far more important things than destroying universes.
Conqueror's Camp

@lmpkio @thewizardguy

As Gigan rose to his feet, angry with himself due to him letting the prisoner escape due to his bloodlust and curiosity; he turns his head towards the sudden rumbling, expecting the worst: An opening attack by his King's rivals, he prepared himself to fight despite his injuries; but he was prevented from doing so due to his systems suddenly becoming under attack from an unknown type of computer virus, one that was changing him both in the digital and physical sense. While the surge of unholy power would have driven most others mad with bloodlust, Gigan wasn't most others and his iron-hard discipline and supreme self-control tamed the evil threatening to render him uncontrollable; a killing machine he may be, but he kills only those he chooses to and nothing will make him do otherwise. As he struggled for dominance over his body, keeping his body from trashing around by forcing himself to stay still through sheer force of will; something incredibly unexpected happened: The black gears corrupting the assassin suddenly disintegrate the moment they had repaired Gigan's systems to 100%, partially revitalizing his biological parts in the process due to the way his body is and whatever changes they tried to give the cyborg had been forcibly reverted, undoing them utterly; before Gigan could question what the hell just happened to him, his HUD gets a sudden popup message that simply said:

"Antivirus and ICE deployed."

And the moment the popup window closed, he finds a new function added to his HUD: "Virus scanner". Not needing to know what it means and easily figuring out how to use it, the assassin explodes into action; appearing right behind Devimon in a blur of supernatural speed, literally a second after he moved despite the distance between the Assassin and the digital demon, before promptly ramming one of his scythes through the demon's back as he was busy strangling the human worm named Keith. Usually such a thing shouldn't really worry a digital being like Devimon, but for some unfathomable reason: the scythe hurt. Hurt very, very badly. Almost as if it was a digital weapon...

Vengeance at Arcadia-2

Cackling at Godzilla even as his throat was being crushed by her immense strength, Megalon kept taunting and belittling his foe; his spasm of excitement and cruel joy only growing stronger when the Lizard-woman throws him through a building, cracking the back of his carapace from the force. Defying her once again, Megalon removes himself from the rubble and walks towards her; still cackling at her mockingly.

"You call that killing me?! I've fought Larvae stronger than you!"

Seeing that Godzilla was distracted by the... Thing he saw earlier, Megalon only cackles harder at the sight; indicating madness had infected the "God".

"Even my hallucinations think you're a joke! King of the Monsters?! King of Morons!"

And immediately after that, he unleashes a triple-attack using his Lightning horn and thermal rays all aimed at Godzilla's center of mass.
@lmpkio

What? Absolutely ignoring the fact that Megalon tried hitting Godzilla's leg with his Plasma Flamethrower?
Well, now that's what I call Godmodding.
@Mtntopview Lol true

@dirty slime Metatron as the archangel?

Much worse. At least the Voice of God just kills you.
I'm having some really nasty ideas regarding a new character, part of the same faction as Gigan and Megalon of course. And it involves Metatron.
Vengeance at Arcadia-2

@lmpkio

Seeing the distinctive glow of his hated foe's signature attack, Megalon's response to the incoming death ray was both sadistic and self-destructive; deliberately missing the Atomic beam by flicking his head down a moment before the Hybrid fires, the beetle intended to shear Godzilla's leg off with his plasmic flame rather than let her defend against his attack. As a consequence, the atomic blast smashes into the "God's" lower torso, blasting him off his feet and faceplanting him into the asphalt. Despite the fact that the ray did some clearly severe damage to Megalon, he refused to lay down, his hatred driving him ever onward towards either victory or destruction; unsteadily rising up to his feet, the "God", possibly not at all there anymore, began to taunt Godzilla further. As if his refusal to submit and cowardly tricks wasn't enough in his eyes.

"Some king you are... Having your degenerate clone fight your battle for you..."
The laser being at a high enough temperature to cause blood to flash-boil, causing steam explosions and flesh to sublimate.
The plot kinda reminds me of an interstellar version of Gundam AGE. Which is a bad thing, but I'm sure you can't do much worse than the hacks that wrote it.

Also, manufacturing an enemy to unite against... Smells of really scummy politicians.
