I too like pokemon. They are amazing, especially with a side of rice or potato and a salad.

A gold colored jump point formed near the shuttle and Whitestar 21 leapt to full acceleration. As the cruiser closed on the vortex and the shuttle it was fired upon by a ship that had previously been defending it.

Marcus snarled silently. It was one thing to disable a ship to keep it from fleeing; It was another to defend a vessel then fire upon it when it looks like your about to lose it. The latter showed the same kind of greed as this Anubis.

Marcus was as curious as any as to what the vessel held that was so desired, that was why he invited it into the jump point. If there really was a threat he could have simply left it there to become lost forever. Now he had to risk his ship and crew in evacuating the damaged ship.

Marcus’ attention was focused on the task at hand. He heard and skimmed the reports of the change in conflict while his ship dove through the jump point. The captain motioned and the vortex closed behind them, thought not before a few hostile could join them in the red perpetually swirling dimension.

Marcus’ brown eyes studied the information on the ship's behind him. “Pepare to launch Wyvern.” He ordered before opening his direct line to Wyvern Lead.

“Your mission has changed.” The Shok’na started at the wing commanders acknowledgement. “Search and Rescue. There's a damaged shuttle out there, there are also a pair of fighters and... “ Marcus wasn't sure what to classify the third as even as it fired upon his ship. “And that thing. If the fighters engage do what you have to. We'll keep the attention of the other.”

“Understood.” Was the only reply the lead fighter gave before the line was cleared.

At the captain's command the WhiteStar spun 180 degrees while maintaining its directional momentum, 4 fighters popped out the back of the cruiser. Wyvern 2 through 4 made a beeline for the impaired imperial shuttle.

“Lock into his weapons and engines.” Marcus ordered. “Send the following.”

We can take another hit from your weapons. I doubt you can make the same claim. Cease fire and we’ll take you home. Fire again and I will cripple your vessel and abandon you to float through hyperspace forever.

Da’toth watched her captain as he issued the ultimatum. Part of her wanted to shiver at the threatened fate, lost forever among the swirling red and blacks would be as bad as being cut adrift in normal space. Except in normal space there was a chance you could be found.

That thought of course lead her to wonder how they would travel through hyperspace without the beacons. Thankfully her name snatched the barn’s attention. “Yes?”

“Grab a Ranger and a few trainees and don vac suits.” The human ordered. “I want you on that ship when Wyvern brings it in.”

The Shok’Nala nodded and turned heading into the ship. The captain’s voice followed her. “And remember a limb in Leeds as much as a torso and leaves something to be questioned.”

Wyvern lead drifted to a standoff position; Where he could intercept the enemy fighters should they move to attack. Wyvern 3 took position near the cockpit of the shuttle, weapons tracking the injured ship in case it made a hostile move. 2 & 4 circled the vessel once looking for the best place to grapple onto. Locating the hatch they each fired a grapple and started towing it back to the cruiser.

The death gliders swung around the cruiser intending to intercept the starfuries. As they closed one of the smaller fighters buzzed them its weapons fire blasting across the gliders. Peeling away from their initial targets they began to pursue the ship that engaged them.

Wyvern one weaved around the Jaffa’s weapons fire. Their attacks were unfortunately predictable, as their fixed wing style lacked the maneuverability of his Starfury. With a few simple commands Wyvern lead spun the fighter a full 180 degrees. His ship not only maintained his momentum, but accelerated in reverse. The human smiled at the enemy pilots behind his vac suit helmet. His left hand raised to wave goodbye as his right pulled the trigger. 4 discharge pulse cannons went full auto on the spot in the center of Wyvern Lead’s crosshair, which just happened to rest on the cockpit of the glider.

The starfury shot away at 90 degrees without spinning. The pilot had switched from reverse to forward. He blasted past the second glider daring it to follow. The glider entered a skew turn, and accepted the dare.

On the Al'kesh the jaffa hesitated briefly before firing again on the whitestar. The minbari manning the weapons station opened fire even as the captain gave the order. The whitestars twin neutron cannons opened fire. They cut through the failing shields and blasted the turret; The ranger owned ship strafed the Gould designed ship and crippled their engines. At a command from the captain, the whitestar crept forward and gave the crippled ship a push. Setting it adrift amidst the maddening swirl of red and black.

The glider pursuing Wyvern one began to turn, intent on catching their ally before they are lost forever. Wyvern lead spun the starfury and went to full auto; The glider disintegrated beneath the assault. The pilot then spun to face the rest of his deployed wing. Even though the threat was gone they maintained their wariness.

The shuttle was towed to the airlock. As the hatch sealed it was opened from inside the whitestar. Four vacsuited figures stepped into the cockpit while the fifth stood just inside the hatch hand on a sword hilt. At the motions of one of the figures another joined him they grabbed the fading Captain Bonma and dragged him into their vessel. The other three went deeper into the shuttle searching the other bodies, and through the luggage. Seeking what would be worth murder.

Like I said earlier in the thread or in the check, if I remember something I read about Star Trek online correctly they had holographic crews.

I don't know about holographic crews but Memory Alpha points out that Prometheus Class ships in Star Trek Online lack the "multi vector assault mode." Th star trek wiki sites do acknowledge that the ships have holoemitters through out the ship, it does however specifically mention that they are so the EMH mark II has full access to the ship instead of being restricted to the sickbay.

“Captain we have picked up weapons fire.” Marcus turned away from Da’toth and looked at the minbari sensor tech.

“Did our impending doom make its appearance?” The human asked.

“Negative,” The communications trainee answered, “Appears to have been a miscommunication between a pair of ships.”

Marcus nodded and started to turn back to his first officer when the communications officer slid past the trainee and pushed a message through to the viewer.

”- Anubis. I claim this vessel. Stand clear or be destroyed."

“It is being played across all communication frequencies.” The comm officer answered the captain's unspoken question.

Marcus headed for his chair, Da’toth moved to her station. “This must be the threat.” He started, “Certainly believes himself to be intimidating. End the drills.”

The captain leaned back and watched as the chaos of battle started to unfold.

The ship moved away from the periphery of the conflict towards the very center.

“Get me a line to that shuttle.” Marcus stated pointing to the vessel that instigated the warning.

“A jump point vortex will be opening to your starboard. Make haste into it and you will be clear of the battle, try to avoid the edge.”

Marcus motioned for the communications to be cut. Turning to the ship's pilot the Shok’na nodded, confirming the orders he’d given during the communication. The captain then pushed a button on his chair’s arm.

“Wyvern Lead.” A voice stated.

“Standby to launch.” Marcus answered. “Your wing may end up fighting in hyperspace though.”
Hmmmmmn. Abandon the shuttle cause a bunch of Capital ships just warped in or dedicate the Liberator to the fight. Decisions... Decisions. I mean if the Sith lord dies, would that really be a bad thing?

Probably less a bad thing than a Gould inside a Sith Lord. I need to check something than I gotta talk to her majesty

Da’Toth frowned at her com pad. Something in the images she studied had grabbed her attention. She stared at the stars in the images on her hand held computer, they felt familiar somehow.

“Captain, the computer has recognized the phenomenon we first encountered.” The Drazi trainee stated. “It was a rare form of cosmic radiation.”

“Really?” The captain asked, “Well that's a relief.” The human stated almost cheerily.

The first officer's head snapped up at her captain’s words. Da’Toth had known Marcus for years, and she could tell by looking at him that the information was anything but relieving. And the way he spoke reminded the alien of a previous mission, one in which they knew they were being eavesdropped on.

The Shok’Nali scanned the bridge, the faces of the trainees looked relieved, and even the veteran Rangers looked more relaxed since the identity of the first one they saw was “discovered.” Da’Toth always wondered what it was about the first ones that terrified the younger… It suddenly hit her.

She tapped a series of orders into her com pad. She overheard conversation as she watched the image change. Finally her computer displayed what she hoped she’d see. Her triumph was betrayed as another result she searched for came back negative, followed by another, and again another.

Marcus was skimming the display, reading through the various conversations Ahel was eavesdropping upon. He studied the information again before the sensor trainee spoke up. The sudden identification of the “phenomenon” seemed uniquely timed.

“Really?” Marcus stated, his suspicions hadn't faded; However he felt the need to disassemble, “Well that's a relief.”

The captain could see relief settle over his crew. The truth of his doubts would remain his secret to share. He didn't know what these first ones could do, and so he’d have to proceed carefully. Marcus’ attention was grabbed by a message from a small ship.

"Attention ships. There is a greater threat approaching from the" -Palpatine felt for the ripples in the Force- "Galactic Center. We must stand together or be destroyed. As this shuttle is lightly armed, I... suggest... you protect it."

The captain’s eyebrows rose, This one is used to issuing commands. Marcus thought. He had already placed his crew at battlestations. The experienced rangers either ran their trainees through drills or relaxed; Either through meditation or more mundane means. Either way his ship was combat ready.

“Captain a moment?” A voice asked softly.

Marcus moved his eyes to his first officer, the captain nodded and joined her. “Yes?” He asked.

“I think I know where we are.” Marcus kept his face still and motioned her to continue. She showed him the computers displayed location, including an estimated date over two centuries earlier then it should be. “The date is an estimation based on recorded galactic drift.”

“That would explain our communication difficulties.” Marcus said.

“It gets worse,” The Narn entered a command and the display changed to a number of star scapes. The first officer’s finger touched one of the images. “Minbar;” The finger moved to the next images, “Zhabar, Pa’ri, Aicha;” Her voice grew sad as her finger hovered over the final image. “Narn.”

Marcus bit the inside of his cheek to prevent a frown. He wasn't intimately familiar with most of those systems. However, the star identified as Minbar was a different classification of the star he remembered. “Did you identify any star properly?”

“Only two appear correct,” The Shok’Nali stated. “Centuari Prime, and Sol.”
Sorry bout lack of post. Life got a little strange. Post is mostly written in my google will finish it up and have it up friday.
I'll try and get a post up after work tomorrow (tues)
I'm disappointed I missed this. I wouldn't have been able to resist submitting my Uraga class Stealth carrier from Macross! Then again I do have a nice system Lord I would love to play. Of course one would have to resist the temptation to submit either a Macross Quarter or a Glorious Heritage Class ship from Andromeda. Those would be just too ridiculous.

I actually initially planned to play a Glorious Heritage Class ship. But was told it was too much for the rp. Of course that was before a mothership from homeworld showed up.
