Wicked. :)
I might tweak him a bit yet. I added potions to give him a hobby, basically, and toyed with going all Breaking Bad and brewing ridiculous elicit pain-killers for the black market, but it wasn't in keeping with his personality or background. If I think up another, more appropriate, hobby, I'll switch to that.

What do you study, btw?

Name:
Albert King-Bellamy

Age:
25

House:
Slytherin

Life After Hogwarts:
Post-school existence had high hopes for Albert. Having been a noticeable star of the Quidditch pitch during his time at school, he was tipped to go into the sport straight after his NEWTS, and this became true. He joined the Appleby Arrows aged just eighteen, and, though he was not the best player on the team, his joining coincided with more competent management and, frankly, more luck than they'd had in years; his new face became synonymous with success within the Arrows' fans' community, but, as the team went from strength to strength (and Albert only improved his skills) he became known to the wider public as both a force to be reckoned with and the face of the young generation of Quidditch players. This life continued for five years, until it all came crashing down – literally. An injury during a particularly risky maneouver with the complication of both bludgers' involvement resulted in him falling straight off his broom, and, in landing, completely obliterated his hip and most of his left leg. Healers managed to fix the worst of the problem and he has no trouble walking with a bit of help from a stick and just about fly a broom, but his Quidditch days are very much over.
Discounting time spent recovering, which is never fun for anybody, his life went rapidly downhill. Though his background meant he would never really struggle financially, his hobby and sporting acclaim were dead. Journalists approached him for a few months to tempt him down a trashy life of kiss-and-tell celebrity, which he rejected reluctantly – by now, with help from a pair of spectacles, his face is unfamiliar to all but the most avid Arrows fan. Eventually, he got back on his feet, but remains unsteady; he pulled in a few favours and exploited his name a little, to swing a job at the headquarters of the British and Irish Quidditch League, where he has been working since. He is well-connected with his contacts in the Quidditch 'industry' and with the well-respected pedigree of the Bellamy and King families, and so is frequently to be seen socialising and hobnobbing with the elite in society – of whom he probably still is one.

Relationship Status:
Single bachelor

Personality:
Bitter | Smart | Sharp
Bored | Nostalgic

Hobbies:
Drinking
Social mingling
Potion-brewing

Fears:
Never playing Quidditch again (likely)

Dream:
To somehow make a career out of brewing potions
Not to need a walking stick any more
Hopefully I'll have a sheet up later today. If not, tomorrow at the latest.
I don't see why, provided we have enough of a core cast to cover the bases.
So, there are a couple of Harry Potter styley RPs kicking around, but, hey, I can't get enough HP, so here's another; mine. It seems like a pretty neat idea to me, but it didn't take in the advanced section, so I thought I'd broaden the appeal a bit. :)

Premise: the dark arts have re-emerged in the wizarding world. Some practise has always taken place, but the elicit trade of dark artefacts and such has skyrocketed. What's more, the UK now seems to be the international centre for this trade, a status it has never had before. Even the muggle world is suffering; every high-ranking muggle department is under heavy threat from mind-addling curses, steering the non-magical world too. Criminal gangs emerge and vanish in the time it takes to apparate. Though their members may be sometimes captured, no leader figure has ever been identified. It is clear that there is some figure or figures behind these developments, but who they are, only time will tell. These are dark times indeed. Who ya gonna call? The Auror Office, obviously.

Notes: so, clearly an HP RP. It's not all worked out perfectly yet, but think a political thriller/crime drama set in the Harry Potter universe. That said, I'd like to steer clear of canonical events and characters. I am a bit of a freak for the world JK created, though, so I don't like it when details about the world (how magic works, details about creatures and organisations etc) are gotten wrong. I don't mind adding or inventing aspects or elements of things (creating a new creature/spell, whatever), but I'm not a fan of JK's lore being contradicted. As you'll have guessed, we will be playing (by and large, I may allow for some exceptions) Aurors, the resident badasses of the Ministry of Magic, trying to deal with the day-to-day crises of this dark, modern era, and hopefully untangle the threads to reveal the true culprit. I'm after maybe three or four other people to join me. If I get the interest, I'll make an OoC.

Peace.
Hi guys. On the offchance that this was still going to happen, you may no want to try looking for it in the Casual Section. Hopefully mass appeal will get it off the ground :)
The doctor's position is open again. I'm back at uni so I'm not sure I have time for this.

Sorry 'bout that.
Wicked. :D
Looking at the doctor role. Hopefully will have a sheet up tomorrow.
Adam King-Bellamy was a star chaser for the Appleby Arrows whose rise to sporting stardom was meteoric – and short-lived. Just a few years into his tenure, a particularly dramatic (and foolish) leap at the goal-hoops resulted in him falling off his broom and crashing to the ground, utterly destroying his hip and most of the rest of his left leg. Needless to say, most of the damage was relatively easily recovered through the use of magic, but the healers explained to him in no uncertain terms, that it would be the end of his Quidditch-playing days. He can comfortably ride a broom, but no longer has the flexibility of movement required to be a competent Quidditch-player; he now often walks with a walking stick, too. After a short spell of depression, he wangled a job with the British and Irish Quidditch League, where he has been working since. He had the option of taking the trashy celebrity kiss-and-tell route, but could not bring himself to do it. By now, he has all but faded from public consciousness, a fact of which he is simultaneously resentful and appreciative.

On the surface, his personality hasn't changed much; he was always clever, with a hearty sense of mischief and rather a lot of ambition, but his older, closer friends will easily identify that his ambition has gone sour. With no clear direction in life, his drive to better himself has not died, so much as mutated into a sense of failure. Additionally, he now has a creeping sense of bitterness that was never present before. You might get the impression that he drinks too much; you might have noticed him put on a little weight from his sporting days; you might be concerned by his new-found short temper. These aren't things his colleagues or passing acquaintances will notice – only those who had known him before his injury will recognise these subtle shifts in his personality. In particular, his old friends may notice that, now he is no longer a (literally) high-flying celebrity, he is keeping in touch with them again. Cynics might wonder why he has time for his old friends now, and didn't before.

Adam comes from a long line of pure-bloods, like many Slytherins, and is the product of the melding together of two dynasties, the Kings and the Bellamys. Like many such families, there is an obscene wealth and prestige that comes with this lineage, for those that care about that sort of thing. Adam, however, doesn't care about that sort of thing, and actively judges those that do. At the same time, he jealously guards his family's name and fortune from those that might seek to marry into an advantage. With his hayday very much over, he does not really believe that somebody could be romantically interested in him for his own merits, and so distrusts anybody, women especially, trying to get close to him. Needless to say, this is an enormous threat to his love-life, and he still lives alone. With no stable family life to settle into, and the thrill of the game long since departed, Adam is craving, at least at a subconscious level, to get some excitement back into his life.
