I'd say that the definition of a Mary Sue is a character who never experiences internal struggle in the events of the narrative or can never experience internal struggle in the events of any narrative. Would you agree? Or would you say this is derailing a perfectly sufficient thread?

I would generally say that a Mary Sue is one with no flaws as they are intended to be perceived, but I would definitely say that's an argument for another thread.
I don't want to be that guy, but I kinda feel like Bertram's encroaching on Michael's patch, being a secretive, studious guy with a sideline in dark magic and probably-going-to-go-a-bit-evil. He also seems to be bordering on the godmodding, having mastery in four different fields.

Hi guys, sorry I've been slack recently. A combination of uni work, another RP and a big slap in the face from Writer's Block has slowed me down.

I'll be with you this week.
I don't use Skype. My laptop does not play ball with it.
When it comes to writing online, I use Google Drive, which I gather has a chat function.

That said, I'm a techtard, so don't ask me how it works.

I'm not 100% sure Doctor. I want bickering and arguments, but I also want them to be good friends. They've long broken up I assume? Grant still has feelings for her but he really values the friendship too much to ruin it... What do you think? She could also be the reason he's going on the trip. Leck would be a prefect confidant in my opinion.

I doubt you'll get too much bickering from Leck if she's friendzoned Grant. It also doesn't seem to keep with Grant's heartbreaker personality to still have feelings for her, to me, but he's your character. That said, if she does find out he does still have feelings for her, that'll probably piss her right off. She doesn't like things rocking the boat and doesn't want to think he's been dishonest or lied to her about their friendship.
Vena, what backstory do you want between Leck and Grant? (Unless we've discussed this and I've forgotten...)
Glad I haven't missed too much. Had a nice weekend with the other half without computers and such. Good to have you on board, Zordon. :)

You've already made a banner thing for Janine but I made her one in a similar style to the other ones.

I'm no GM, but my understanding is that Vena is happy for more players, but the sooner you can get a character sheet together, the better.

HA. I get that off people sometimes in pubs. Once I made a grown man cry by just challenging literally everything he said.

Venatrix: I really really really don't mind. I'll probably have Johann staying with his sister in France before joining the group. So long as we don't start in Germany, I don't mind if we do or don't visit it - either works from a plotting perspective. If we go, then we can see what it's like there, and if we don't, it's the elephant in the room and a massive gap in the world tour, which speaks as much as anything about the state of wizarding Germany. I'd suggest we start midway into some action to avoid the round of dreaded intro posts to begin with, though. Already being in France and, even if only superficially, already engaged in whatever story arc would hopefully give us a bit of momentum.
