Such was the fate of the Gallifeldt.
Within the current era, as the light of civilization illuminates the depths of mystery, the constraints of thaumaturgy tighten, certain mysteries now subsumed within the human order. While necromancy, as such a broad category of thaumaturgy, has yet to fall into disuse, one can only go so far in a certain direction before hitting a roadblock.
As the Gallifeldt valiantly trekked onwards, defining and further exploring their family craft, Androssi slowly fell into depravity.
No longer considering himself as an individual, but as a process to reunite with loved ones lost to the great divide, he experimented upon himself magically.
The extent of his modifications was so extreme, he could be considered only a few steps from becoming a Dead Apostle.
He participates within the Las Vegas Subspecies War in order to attain the Holy Grail in order to study the mechanics of it to improve his own self.

At its core, however, Necromancy is a school of magecraft dedicated to restoring and reviving beings who have completed their final ritual. In the case of the Gallifeldt, they sought to preserve and continue the individual within a greater collective with a gnostic understanding of the self.

Androssi Gallifeldt: The body of ‘Androssi Gallifeldt’ is the culmination of not only his family’s work but that of many others as well.
Composed of body parts sourced from a multitude of origins, from high-quality materials harvested from unfortunate magi to elderly mundane folk, it is a hodgepodge of treated limbs and organs held within the ‘shape’ of Androssi.
The true vehicle of existence is a disembodied head stored within a suitable vessel along with his magic circuits, so attacks normally considered fatal can be recovered from rather simply as long as the ‘core’ of his existence is undisrupted. As an aside, as long as it is within his 'body', moving his core is merely a matter of thought.
Beyond being affording Androssi a constitution akin to a cockroach in terms of survivability, he utilizes the innate boundary known as the body as another facet for his thaumaturgy.
Deployed within is an artificial underworld, which processes the latent feelings of the dead into a curse, which perpetually powers and feeds Androssi. Along with self-possessing himself with multiple alternate existences, Androssi’s own body is the pinnacle of his family’s craft.
