The Sangheili aren't crazy, they were just misguided in Halo's 1-2

they're actually extremely similar to the Turians, so much so that I was hesitant to ask for it at first. But figured I could play up the differences enough.

Basically, for them Protheans = Forerunner, they only recently reached spaceflight, (recently meaning 200 years recently, since you said this was an eon after the events of the series) And are a part of the galactic community, though not a council race, roughly in the position humanity was at the time of the series, though probably less desiring for a council seat.

I want my character to be a Spectre, both because it gives me an excuse to be creative with resources and it allows us a lot of narrative freedom. For instance, he could be assigned to a ship that's being sent to Equestria to investigate, perhaps the events of the S4 finale sent off an energy ripple that was detected through the galaxy and the Council is sending an investigation team, kind of like the beginning of ME1, in a way.

Equestria exists some distance away from a Mass Relay, and the princesses are "aware" of space but do not see a reason to explore it. And they are unaware of the relay connecting to other systems and the galaxy as a whole, thus the beginning can be introducing Equestria to the galaxy at large (whether against interference protocols or not)

So yeah, now we need a conflict I guess.

oh my god this is absolutely absurd, but I really want to play a kickass Turian Spectre who is acting as the straight man to all the wacky things that will undoubtedly happen.

Sixty years from now, the Earth will be ravaged, countless black warps will envelop 90% of the planet, and humanity will be hanging on by a mere thread.

This is not a story of then, this is a story of now.

In present day, occult forces have always acted subtly, the occasional premonition or simple curse, and never anything large enough to be noticed. Thus occultists have been free to practice in absolute secret, stretching the limits of their power without ever alerting those around them, or drawing the attention of governments.

Underneath the surface, lies the world of the Metaphysical, where multiple demonic factions wage endless war on each other, and where all magic originates. It's rare for a magic practitioner to even be aware of this world, and entirely unheard of for anybody to interact with it directly. Should a magic user breach into the Shadow World, they will gain immeasurable power, but at the cost of ruining the stability of the worlds, and causing a merger.

Judging by the future, you can assume that the worlds are starting to cross over.

Tiny portals at first, but they will grow, and anyone brave enough to enter them will have to face the demons within, but will also gain extreme power...

Rei folded the note back up, somehow it had just been at his feet when he woke up, however somebody knew that he was spending the night in an alleyway was beyond him. "But," he said to himself "there are enough strange things in this world," Fortunately, he was already where he was supposed to be, or at least thereabouts. Tokyo was quite the hotspot right now, with monster attacks every day, of all sorts of things he couldn't identify. He had been living in the streets for a while, he fund that using his driver and armor seemed to make his hunger disappear, so he literally got his sustenance from saving people. Now though, he appeared to have a place to live, assuming the note wasn't a trap.

He kept the map open and walked through the streets, doing his best to keep track of his location without hitting anybody. He was about two blocks from the building he was supposed to arrive at, wondering if other Riders would be there. "Perhaps I'll meet somebody with a similar set of powers to mine?"
