Dead Island: Paradise Lost

"Those who promise us paradise on earth never produced anything but a hell."-Karl Popper Banoi. An island located just off the coast Papua New Guinea. Considered by many to be Paradise on earth because of its natural, pristine beauty and untamed wilds still barely touched by human hands and inhabited by native tribes. Lush forests, clear skies, and azure oceans make Banoi the perfect island getaway and is home to many hotels, and small settlements along with it's capital city of Moresby. The most luxurious of the hotels being the Royal Palms Resort, the prime vacation resort on the island famed for their impeccable service, exotic menus, celebrity acts, and above all the killer parties. A night at The Royal Palms is considered to be the greatest night of one's life. You wake up the next morning following one of the resorts parties to find things much more chaotic than you left them. This heaven on earth has turned into hell overnight. Without warning something has caused the dead to get up and attack the living. A single bite from one of the afflicted spreads their infection and turn their victims into monsters like them, sometimes mutating them into even more terrifying and deadly monstrosities. The only people with even some defense against the infected's bite are those rare few immune to virus. The only hope anyone has now is to try and find a way off the island and the dead aren't the only obstacles preventing that. Rules -No Godmodding, Powerplaying, etc. -Foul language is cool, just in case I needed to mention it. -Romance is allowed keep it PG-16 -If you're playing an immune remember you are not invincible. Zombie bites are still incredible dangerous. Plus the dead aren't the only things you'll be fighting. -Let's not have any OOC fighting please. -Limiting Immune to four right now. Might change depending on how many join. -Enjoy the RP

Zombies

Walkers

Just regular zombies. They are slow because rigor mortis has set in, are capable of using and throwing weapons if they happen to have one in their hand. Most dangerous in groups

infected

The freshly turned. They move and attack extremely quick because of the lack of rigor mortis. Dangerous if you let them gang up on you but they have very weak bodies.

Thugs

Basically giant walkers. They're tough and strong, knocking a person to the ground with one swing of their massive arms and taking a lot of punishment before going down, but their even slower than a walker. It isn't uncommon for them to be accompanied by walkers or infected adding to their danger.

Suiciders

Heavily mutated zombies covered in large, pulsing boils. They serve only one function, find the uninfected and violently explode. Getting to close during a suicider's explosion is a guaranteed death. The bright side is that they're incredibly fragile, throwing a weapon or shooting one will cause them to explode instantly and can serve as an effective weapon against other zombies. They are the only type of infected to still possess a semblance of humanity shown by their constant agonized cry of "Help me!"

Rams

Rams are truly formidable infected. Their mask may prevent them from biting and passing on the infection, they are still dangerous. Extremely large towering over even the already tall Thugs, their main form of attack is their namesake, a powerful ram charge. If one gets too close they might kick or headbutt their targets as well. Their straightjackets while raising the question of these infected's origins also keep them well protected from frontal assaults. The best place to hit a ram is from their back where a opening on their jackets lies

Floaters

Bloaters are zombies that have submerged under water for extended periods. Incredibly bloated they spew a dangerous, poisonous, flammable slime from their mouths. On the upside, bloaters are highly flammable and slow. On the downside the range vomit makes it difficult to get close to them and if one does they simply spew more in arc in front of themselves. Bloaters bile will blind and disorient a person hit by it. Though it is unknown if it is infectious, the un-immune should be extra careful not to come in contact with the bile.

Butcher

Stronger and faster infected. Their forearms have been destroyed and the bones jutting out in their place have been sharpened as weapons. Somehow they are also able to regenerate if given time making killing one even more difficult. Due to their speed it is recommended that Butchers be dealt with from as far a range as possible.
