As legends have it, they always speak of a mighty trainer destined to cross paths with the legendary Pokemon of the world; legends proving correct as many legendary Pokemon were awakening once more, that would either be caught to quell their fury or choose to join the trainer in their cause.

In either case, they were no longer there to maintain the balance they were created for.

Arceus would not have this, and to prevent it would create another within the many different regions of the Pokemon world. Perhaps this was something that drove the God Pokemon to make such a rash decision in turning their forms. Only Arceus truly knows... But Rayquaza was created to maintain a balance. He may have lived for hundreds of millions of years flying endlessly through the ozone layer, consuming meteoroids and feeding on water and particles in the atmosphere for sustenance, but he was there when he was needed. When the two dueling brothers were awakened once more.

The Rayquaza before him... She was beautiful.... Johto born. Her trainer had come to set her free in the Hoenn region, to soar above the resting grounds of the two titans just as he. He may have fallen for her that very day, watching as she flew elegantly from her trainer's pokeball, doubling back to brush against her human partner one last time before shooting forth into the stars. He swore to find her and fly alongside her for eternity one day, to never again leave her side, and eventually he would keep true to his word. Until the brothers were reawakened by Team Magma and Team Aqua once again, her decision to intervene ultimately ending in her demise.

She didn't stand a chance... The brothers reverted back into primal states... A devolution if you will... Heh... They killed her right before his very eyes.

It was that day that he unlocked his true potential, the many meteoroids in his body providing the energy he needed to mega evolve and avenge his fallen love.

And all that can be said of that day is, legends remain still of how he put to rest the clash between Kyogre and Groudon.

Since Arceus' decision to change the world, Rayquaza can be found at the highest level of the Sky Pillar in Hoenn. Truth be told, he longs for the day to meet the aforementioned trainer of legends. To be challenged by he and his Pokemon partners. To be a part of something more than keeping two bickering children in line.

Just one good push is all it takes to convince him to turn over a new leaf in the name of the reversion of the Pokemon world.

The only question is... Can anybody do it?
