- skull taker:
This scythe is grossly oversized to the point it would be unusable for anyone without special training. The handle is eight feet long and the blade measures in at five feet. The blade is sharpened on both the top and he bottom, and has a spike on the back. This scythe is indestructible, and the blade is coated in a potent hallucinogenic that Desmond is immune to. The scythe is also soulbound to him allowing him and only him to channel his energy or powers through it.
- blood letter: this is an oversized knife attached to a fifteen foot long chain. The handle of the knife is long enough for one hand, and the blade is around seven inches. The blade glows a hot orange and melts through traditional steel armor like butter. both the knife and chain are indestructible, and on the back of the chain is a ball of the same material that cannot be destroyed. This ball can be used as a weight to either spin just the chain or to held throw it.
- life ender:
this sword has a blade of three feet with a two handed grip but can be wielded one handed. The black blade is just for looks and doesn't give it any special abilities. This sword is bonded with desmond and like his scythe allows him to channel his powers through it.
powers:
- soul wave, resonance, and frequency: This is the power tied to Desmond's unnaturally powerful soul. He can use his soulbonded weapons like amplifiers to an electric guitar to enhance these powers, the different weapons do different things. Currently Desmond has only mastered two of his soulbound weapons, therefore he can only do this with his longsword and his scythe. To use resonance he must charge a turn, once done he can activate a resonance link with his weapon drastically increasing all of his physical attributes and his weapons abilities for five turns afterwards, but he can only do this with one weapon at a time and only once with each weapon per fight.
-soul force: the amplified ability from using his scythe allows him to upon contact with his opponent strike them directly with his soul wavelength. The higher the frequency and the weaker his opponents soul the more damage this does. It has the added effect of allowing him to form soul sutures like tiny threads on whatever he used soul force on. He can create these threads on any scale regardless of how small, but the more intricate the more he has to concentrate. The harder he concentrates the more durable the sutures are. When he uses soul resonance with his scythe his soul force triples in power and the soul sutures become nearly indestructible while it is active.
- scream resonance: the amplification ability of his longsword. The blade of this weapon can be made to emit a high pitched scream which Desmond is immune to, but will be extremely painful to whatever else hears it. The damage caused by this is increased the closer you are to Desmond. This has the added ability of making the swords blade vibrate when it cuts increasing the damage, and making it extremely difficult to block as the vibration will transfer to the weapon blocking it and over time numb the hands. When soul resonance is used he can create a resonance link with this weapon that allows its blade to emit sounds loud enough to triple the amount of range and damage it does. When he uses it the blade also vibrates at three times the frequency further increasing its other effects.
skills:
- mastery of the scythe and longsword, as well as skill with the chain knife: He has been granted extensive knowledge of al of these weapons. He is the only one known to date that an effectively wield the scythe without killing themselves, and he has been granted knowledge of every existing longsword technique. He is quite skilled with the chain knife, but has yet to completely master the weapon
- sight and cognition: He can see and react to movements on a scale that most humans cannot. His eyes can seethe wingbeats of a fly with perfect clarity. His brain can react almost instantly allowing him to begin moving almost the instant his eyes read something.
-strength, durability, and speed: He can move faster than most men able to more than match even Olympic athletes. His strength is also castly increased allowing him to go head up with creatures much larger than himself. Finally his durability is increased to the point where he can get slammed through concrete walls and still fight.
