@dreamerAh, you are correct. My mistake, I'll remove the tunnel connection to the center island from Tyre territory. I left the map at my mother's house so I might go get it Sunday, or wait until I got back over there Wednesday. Might color in some parks or something.

If you're alright with it I'd like to try to help with the information base as well. You're not obligated to use anything I make, so don't feel bad rejecting anything. I do this for fun.

I was only asking about Discord because it's a chat room, quick for messaging. PM on here will work fine though.

@dreamer Are you on the guild Discord? I'm still doodling this map, wondering how many districts there should be.

I thought around 5-6 was a good number.



This is great, and yeah no need for smaller streets. However the South Island, Tyre territory has three bridges and two tunnels so it actually has five compared to the other two having four. I do like the idea of the island though being a no man's land for everyone to battle over. You could take it from Tyre if you were Chimera but have so few troops left to defend that Toxin then comes in. It's a nice central location.

@Synthesis Lol it's just a mockup, nothing's even drawn out yet. I don't want to spam chat here with the game but yeah I'm pretty proud of how it's coming along.

True. Also the Chimera have two. I planned to add an underground tunnel as well.

Balance the finite details of an RTS style against roleplay elements his a difficult task, I agree. I'll PM you some of ideas, maybe they be of help.


Don't know why I wrote one at first and then later two. It's what I get for multitasking (working with an artist on an illustration piece for a board game / video game we're making)
Well you have a good concept down to me.
Perhaps a district can only be taken over by completing special actions? (Like convoys, stronghold take downs, VIP assassinations, etc.) Which would probably devolve down into a numbers game of your resources vs the objective require to complete a takeover, or perhaps you can give out special opportunities to increase influence through character interaction. Perhaps different strengths of takeover as well? Where each takeover knocks down the difficulty of control.


Perhaps something like that. We're just limited on what we can do with written words balance wise. Otherwise I'd make it like a turn based game where players take turns and then if your people get killed or do the killing it's fair and not just, "Synthesis just made up some tanker truck to throw at me."

EDIT: Also I just noticed in the map that Toxins and Tyre have three bridges and the Chimera have two. This would mean that the Chimera would be the easiest to defend since they have just two regions to put units at and the other two have three to defend from invasion.

Well that was quick. I pretty much just had time to add your character to the character list XD Then I was reading your bio and saw you made a post.

Nice work on the map. We can divide that into districts later. I'm still trying to come up with how we'll handle the businesses and strategy elements of the roleplay.

I was looking for a kind of darker looking individual that was a close up, speedy sort of combatant. Mercer just fits that profile best.

@Synthesis Awesome, nice to have another character join the roster. Funny thing is even though Alex Mercer's (The prototype guy that it looks like you used for reference) look does kinda fit the Toxin's setup. I actually was inspired by that game when creating The Chimera. Something I forgot to put was that they have members that lost themselves in so much mutations that they are more beast than man and are controlled by others.

But yeah you're guy fits the Toxins and I look forward to his interactions with @cthulu's Amala :)

As for the map I can try to write some more info when I have some time off. I was going for a bit of a New York kinda feel with the Tyre having the more port and trade part of the city, The Chimera having the slums, and the Toxins having the main downtown area. I'll provide you more info when I have the chance.
@cthulu It was amazing. Thank you for starting off our rp with a bang. I feel inspired to bring more to this rp as soon as I have the time.

Too late XD

IC is live (albeit shorter than I planned), all characters start with nothing. Your first post are to introduce us to your character and their lives. Have fun!

EDIT: I will be making GM post throughout the IC to keep things going so just roleplay and I will provide any story pushers if you get stuck. I'll also introduce mechanics like the turf wars and businesses.
