@dreamer Hm, fair point. I Was only thinking in regards to how tyre and chimera could have commander units, because of well, sentience. But on the flipside, perhaps it is balanced this way. Perhaps my thinking was wrong, as it doesn't appear that the toxins are totally without thought.

I'd have to agree with you then in hindsight, telepathy with the dominance seems adequate. I was just trying to figure out how primary toxin characters would be alerted to events, such as the boat crash, instead of the meta of just stumbling upon everything.

Are Toxins sentient enough to communicate with primary characters of their own volition?


Oh well I see your point now in regards to the non combat element. However we need to balance things both in and out of combat. I think the Tyre and such having cell phones or the future equivalent is something super mundane as everyone would have them like today, but it's important because it keeps them aware of what's going on.

I dont imagine Toxin hordes on cell phones so I figure the dominance would give the leader/controller some sort of sense of their horde at all times. But it's the forcing the thought, the comman into their heads that would drain a Toxin leader of their energy.
@Dreamer Did you see my post above? I was also thinking howlers could be like sentries, so toxin characters have a way to know what events are happening.


That seems like a very powerful unit and defeats the point of risking your own character on the battlefield. But I'll think about it.


I sort of envisioned a city a bit like this, nature starting to creep in at the corners, quiet, still, not abandoned but in abject terror of being too noisy due to the toxins.


That takes years to happen but then again crystal that turn people into monsters isn't exactly realistic either so perhaps they also sped things up haha.

As for the city (nice Last of Us Concept art btw) I had originally pictured one like yours but if this is set thousands of years in the future then Big Papa's scifi city is probably more realistic for the time.

Day and Night Cycles
In an effort to balance out the strategy parts of the roleplay and to keep everyone roughly in the same timeline I as the GM will make day and night post. The specific time is irrelevant. For example if I write Day 90, 7pm you do not have to write what your character is doing exactly at 7pm. Just know that it is now night time and your post should either catch up to that point or time skip to night. As such your post should try to accommodate for everything that a character would do in a 12ish hour period. If you are going to need multiple post or are working with someone on a co-post please inform me and the group in OOC so that I can give you more time before pushing time forward.

Territory, Businesses, and Recruiting
Resources are collected at the start of each day. Based on what territory and what businesses you own will pay out what they own you on your first day time post. Any recruiting and unit placement can be done at night though combat can be performed at any time, day or night.

Mobile Access
Members of Tyre and Chimera can reach out to their businesses and units at any point from anywhere (unless stated otherwise) through messages or calls. The Toxins can communicate to their subjects through telepathy and serve the same purpose.

Toxins Dominance Skill
This is a trait that is mostly grown based on the character themselves and not necessarily what they own. It would be displayed as such...

Dominance: 30/15

This means that the player starts with and can have up to thirty dominance, which is used to control members of the Toxins. This recovers at a rate of 15 which means that if Amala spends 20 Dominance controlling her units one turn she will drop to 10. Then on her next turn it would raise up 15 for a total of 25. If she waits again for her next turn without using her Dominance over her troops it would cap at 30.

Events
Events can be created by the GM and in some cases, created by other players. (For example Chance Jr. accidently crashes a supply truck on the border of Toxin Territory, leaving them a chance to attack and rob the truck) These events are available for players to pursue for a limited time and provide rewards for doing so. (Or in some cases, prevent a loss of resources)

Money -$1000
Unit - Feral

Toxin Victory
Survivors - 5

Missions
Missions are like Events but are provided by Faction members directly and are usually based within the Faction itself. Meaning Chance may get a text about a shopkeep being harassed by thugs and only Chance will know of and be able to perform this mission, unlike an event which is public.
Day 90, 9pm

Somewhere off the coast of Central Island

Lights flash and flicker, a large boat bobs in the gentle waves of the small portion of the ocean that was caught between the three main islands. A submersible breaches the surface and opens hatch. A man steps out and is helped up onto the boat. "Is that it?" The man that held his arm asked. "It is. That's the container that we saw fall when the barriers went up." The man looked at the shipping crate, bent and burnt from its decent from the atmosphere but not destroyed. It wasn't even a fourth the size of their little boat. It was marked Food and Goods. "So that's it. That is the last of the supplies the city has left to live off of."

This is more a set up to his miniscule business. I have so many plans to get him set up. See where it all goes.
Just like in the last RP, it's Chance Senior that has all the power right now. But unlike last time I didn't give Chance Jr. a club to run on all on his own.

Yeah we'll have to see how it goes. The last RP didn't have the whole strategy element of things sp there wasn't a need to limit him. As for the city that looks pretty sick. I approve of the aesthetics :)

Quick question, what's the posting limitations?


If everyone has posted you are free to post again without waiting for me. If not, after a certain time I will make a post that says time has moved forward basically, maybe write about a minor or major event, and then you guys can write again. (Whomever didn't post before can try to catch up or just do a bit of a time skip to catch up)

@ModeGone Challenging characters can be the most fun :) Just try to get in their head and live through them. We can wait :)

Thank you for sharing the song, it's outside of my normal electronic/dance taste so I probably wouldn't have found it otherwise. It really felt right both in the post you made and my friend's situation so thanks for that and an awesome post :D

At first I thought you were giving Chance a ton of business power but then I remembered he was a Jr. It's a good setup. Let's see if he rises to the thrown!

EDIT EDIT: Good post @SaintJackal. Your character seems to be an interesting one, can he be trusted or not? We'll just have to see.
