When the trash can popped like a firecracker near Dai the Gluconian in the team to jump slightly. He had been a bit on edge lately, hearing the news about the others having trouble arriving made Dai more paranoid about what was going on. Rokk’s silence on the subject wasn’t helping. If there was something that Dai didn’t like, it was the feeling of not being told something he should know.
When Pano leaned over, whispering about how his thought that the team were simply lost, Dai groaned a bit. Looking as lean and mean as he usually does when he hasn’t eaten in a while. The clothes he had on were from Earth, so they didn’t have the stretch most Gluconian stuff has. Meaning if he had eaten with the others at Big Belly Burgers he would most likely be ripping out of said clothes. It was partly that, he was never very impressed with Big Belly in general. They expanded out to Glucona but ran into controversy considering their name on a planet of people who essentially are food balloons ran into issues. That, and the more refined palliate of Gluconians made the expansion a bust.
“You sure?” Dai responded leaning back, “I mean I’ve never met Stargirl, but her getting lost doesn’t sound right at all.” He knew Pano had been taking a keen sense to Brainiac 5, in particular saving the robot mastermind from himself essentially. Something Dai didn’t honestly think was either possible, or even at this rate reasonable. “I mean it might be case by case, but really man its hard not to think Brainiac’s got a hand in it somehow.”
Pano and Dai had really developed a friendship ever since the team really began to be formed. It was their mutual love of superheroes and just generally nerdy behavior that brought the two together. Especially when Dai and Pano have both spent time geeking out over one another’s collections of memorbilia and other things. “If it was just them being lost or having a change of heart Cosmic Boy would tell us right?” Dai asked Pano.
