@Artifex Needs confirmation, went a bit crazy. Did most of his summons. Need confirmation on formatting and creature powers. Want to make this character that one mob character everybody beats in battle or the first one killed to show the villain means business.
An unkindness of many-eyed ravens that Finley uses for surveillance. Probably one of his most passive and least aggressive secretly used type of creature, a few are constantly in his immediate area looking for plot hooks as well as magical energy in the case that Sir Lestrelle or anybody with surveillance came into close vicinity at which point they scatter/unsummon. When needed, many-eyed ravens can close their multiple eyes and pretend like normal white feathered birds while also hiding their presence. Anybody listening closely can tell something is eerie with these birds however as they never make a sound when flying nor while staying still. Not a flap nor a caw.
Once normal woodland spirits, these monstrous creatures were driven mad by the fires of industry and an evil slumbering deep underground whose very existence turned creatures into abominations. At first, the spirits would engage in wanton carnage however the fey could not bear to see their twisted kin cause so much chaos. The they tried to cast their mad kin into hell where they could do no harm to anybody else but they failed. The woodland spirits escaped, shedding the last vestiges of their sanity as they set their bodies ablaze into a never-ending flame.
Smoldering Effigies are abominations without passion or purpose, their minds completely destroyed from their constant suffering. This has the added benefit of actually making them easy to order around if one is bare being mind linked with a creature in a constant state of agony. The first creatures affected by the slumbering one were blessed with death and thus could never die which in turn exaggerated their flames in hell. The only way to slow down a smoldering effigy is with major evisceration of the torso as effigies have been known to attack with missing limbs and even a missing head while healing the damaged area quickly.
A parasite developed by the █̖̠̭̦̟̪̠͐͋͐͗͠█̟͚ͩ̎ͅ█ͩͭ̽ͯ҉̙͖̥̤̭̖ ̛͌ͧ͆͊█̠̳̯̉ͭ͂͐█̧̙͖͚̦͕̠̙̂ͬͦ̽̃̆█͖̪̰̙̲ͥ͋̈́ͦ̉͊͗█̻̈̓̄̈́̾ͤ█̜̤͖̮̺͐ͅ after orders from their gods. The parasite was used to bolster their rank and file cannon fodder, especially their normal human followers. Finley took a liking to the creature in his first life and it became the first creature he summoned in his second one. The creature doesn't have a will of its own instead it becomes subservient to the will any sentient biological creature it attaches itself to. The parasite melts its host vertebral column, thereby replacing a piece of their spine with itself but in exchange giving the host superhuman abilities.
It overloads adrenal glands and strengthens the brain stem by taking some of its processing load to increase reflexes, causing the host's perception to come at a crawl; Monitors the body for invasive organisms and completely rewires the metabolism to become as efficient at dealing with diseases as possible; Reworks/Blocks/Sometimes eats non-essential parts of the brain while taking over certain mental functions during certain situations to make though processes more efficient. The only downside is increased food intake/metabolism, increased appetite and the fact that the very moment it's unsummoned, the host it's attached to will become paraplegic, quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down, suffer from locked-in syndrome, or die depending on which vertebrate was destroyed. Brain damage is also a possibility. Finley doesn't really have that big a problem with this.
Denied.
Name | Finley Edwards
Age | 16
Gender | Male
Level/Tier | Virtuoso 2 (Publically Adept 1)
House | Phantasma
Appearance/Attire |
Finley is the very description of a generic background character. His clothes are sometimes colorful but never in a way that severely takes focus away from the main characters and usually blends into the background. He DOES actually have eyes however as a background character he takes pride in being incredibly forgettable and hiding his face in a way that doesn't attract attention.
Alignment | Hellion
Personality/Habits | Finley is... a bit weird to describe. The memories of his previous life have completely destroyed his common sense and basic morality but he's been able to mask this sort of psychopathic tendencies by layering a sort of caricature of fictional characters into his personality. He doesn't go out of his way to look for fights or start trouble, at least not in a way that gives him away, but he has a tendency to latch onto people he considers "Main characters" and goes out of his way to put them in situations where they would shine. As the faceless mob character, he's taken multiple falls in fights just to show how serious some students are in combat and become the target for bullies for the express purpose of highlighting how pure-hearted and justice drive others are. He's had multiple confessions of love turned down from popular students to show the audience how popular those student were and hangs out with three of the most generically hormonally driven high school boys in the academy. Finley refuses to take any sort of credit for himself and god only knows what sort of frenzy he would go into if one day his position of supporting mob character was taken away.
Background | In millenia long past, at the edge of the universe and beset on all sides by the forces of good, █̸̰͓͓̬͙̎̐̉͑̅̚█̪̤̹̭̤̮ͥ̃̔ͯ̊ͅ█͕̩̞̜̞̲ͥ̈ͭͩ̄ͅ█̭̯̼͓͈̹̭̿̄ͯ█̫͚̩̦͕█̇ͫ̉̽̊ ̰͎̮̾̽ͥ̀█̩̍ͦ̐̆ͨͮ̑͞█͔̙̝͇͗̽̇̇͊̆█̳̄͛̔̈́█̉█͎̞ͥ̇̉͠█̪͈̹͂͒̀̒̾█͈͕̗̭█̧͔̝̳̱̖͇̺̀ͨ█̶̫̰͎̓̌̓̂͆ was the first of the █̖̠̭̦̟̪̠͐͋͐͗͠█̟͚ͩ̎ͅ█ͩͭ̽ͯ҉̙͖̥̤̭̖ ̛͌ͧ͆͊█̠̳̯̉ͭ͂͐█̧̙͖͚̦͕̠̙̂ͬͦ̽̃̆█͖̪̰̙̲ͥ͋̈́ͦ̉͊͗█̻̈̓̄̈́̾ͤ█̜̤͖̮̺͐ͅ to be killed and marked the day the tides turned on towards the forces of good. █̡̜͎̣͍̹̰̫█͓██̗̰̗̱̘█̜█͚͉̭ ̘͔̠̘̻█̞̳̘̟̭█̥͇̬̳█̤̩ͅ█̝̣̣͙̮͜█̢̯̜̰̤█̵̹̝͔̰͖█̰̤̟̙͎̝█̩̮́█̮͎̘ gladly accepted his fate years ago, becoming bored with the constant war however when he opened his eyes he had found himself in the body of a small child. That day a scourge on reality itself was reborn as Finley Edwards, Third child and second son of Baron Edwards. Finley was overjoyed at finally finding freedom from his previous life. He'd done everything as a ruthless villain and he'd lived years as an unflinching hero but there was one thing he'd wanted to do before his second life ended. That thing was to become the perfect supporting character, to make everybody else both good and bad shine like an overloading star.
And so he went to work, exercising his body, mind, and spirit to gain overwhelming power to become the most averagely unexceptional character ever. As with his other siblings, he was born with magical power however unlike his other siblings he barely displayed even the most rudimentary skills in summoning. His sister would constantly dot on him, trying her best to train Finley in swordsmanship since he couldn't display talent in magic but that failed too as even with the private tutoring of a genius swordswoman he could only exhibit above average skills. Even with his lack of obvious talent, Finley's parents sent him to L'Mordryn Academy as they did with their other children hoping that maybe one day he could hold a mid-level summoner's job. OPn that day, Finley internally swelled up in pride at being able to control his powers and skills in such a way that no matter who he fought he would always lose spectacularly while highlighting his opponent while barely hurting either party.
His first year in L'Mordryn Academy was simple enough. Finley took months to publically get his first summons while privately he would commune with his old friends that he knew intimately. He signed himself up for phantasma because and filled his repertoire with a modest number of elemental spirits for classes, even showing pride in class the day he was able to summon an average elemental spirit. Obviously, he was instantly upstaged by up and coming geniuses but that was the whole point. Nobody really knew Finley in any of his clubs, average performance in both combat and other activities made him incredibly forgettable to everybody except his small circle of friends. Finely laid in waiting, searching for his "Main Characters" and as the new year started he felt confident he had his targets.

Generic elemental spirits that barely need a description. Finley publically uses fire elementals when necessary however has shown the ability to summon other weaker ones with some difficulty. The most powerful he's been able to summon is an Average fire elemental however this was during a closed off safe classroom and it's unlikely he could keep it summoned for an extended period of time during stressful situations

A multi-headed abomination born from Ahathrhorh father of scum and pulled from the abyss. The filth hydra is a monster that's tasked by its father to bring the world into a natural state of rot. Finley mainly uses these creatures in battles when a situation becomes dangerous. They're an all-around powerful creature, being able stronger than a bull with the bite of a shark while at the same time having the ability to spit acid, tar and flesh-eating bacteria from it's three mouths. Even though Finley summons the creature he hasn't been in a situation where he's needed to summon it except for when he trained in a nearby forest to kill monsters as a test. Even with his understanding of the creature's alien mind, Finley was difficulty controlling such a crazed monster.
