Plot
Unlike the previous instillation,
Kings comes with an actual plot line. One can choose from three different nations, England, Turks, and Spanish. As England, you follow the course of the Hundred Years' War, fighting the most important battles of the time along with various smaller ones for tactical advantages. As the Turks, you command the armies that advance into Europe through the Byzantine Empire, crushing all in your way. Finally, the Spanish quest-line follows the Reconquista.

In addition to this, a famous writer, John Atkins, was hired by Dark Solar in order to create a book for their series. Following the story of Quintilius Arros after the events of the first game, the novel provides insight into Arros's life, making him a much more interesting character to follow.
