Because that's where the concepts of things are. Imagine that in the book, the word "blue" was written. We know what blue is, and that blue now exists in the story and physically on the page, right? But now imagine that the definition of the word "blue" was changed to that of "red." Suddenly, everything that was blue is still blue, physically the same, but is defined differently, changing the meaning of what's written. That's how the powers of the Codex work, they change concepts. So in this case, what I believe happened is that the definition of "me" in the dictionary was amended to include the phrase: "Only exists within a certain dimension," to keep with the analogy.

Okay, but that still doesn't change the fact that you can get something out of this place.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

They don't have to. Their powers run off of what's called the "Not a Number Sector", or the NNS for short. If you think of Existence like... Like a book. If you think of it like a book, that's being written constantly, the Not a Number Sector is like the dictionary. There's the physical book and the words written on it are physical, but they only have meaning because of the NNS. It's why I died in the first place; the original Generate-class needs to be able to delete stuff to run the NNS correctly. So things were pushed in a direction by a certain few Codex to make one of the Triggers "become complete." That happened to end up being me, so I had to go in order to have the "compete" Trigger reinstated in the original Generate. That made it so the NNS wouldn't overload, and made it temporarily possible to go up to the next Scale.
At least that's where they should have went. Apparently it wasn't that simple, but that's unrelated.

Okay, so how does whatever-you-call-it know the difference between something coming in, talking to you, and going out vs. you sending something out?
<Snipped quote by Host>

I haven't tried. I've relied on visitations from those I needed to contact.

Thanks, Love.
*To Dawn*
But I don't know what happened with you. If I did, I'd have a starting point to tackle deciphering things with.

*Smirks and shrugs*
I'm not the one who's stuck here.

... *Looks at Storm again*
Help?

She's your kid. You're on your own.
<Snipped quote by Meta>

*Gives you a blank look*
I don't know what that means.

*Raises an eyebrow*
Maybe she takes after you in the end after all.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

Honestly, no. Based on the tests I've done, it seem like my initial suspicion was correct. It's a Codex power we're dealing with, which means it works on a conceptual level. As in, my concept can't leave the concept of this universe. I wouldn't be surprised if a video failed, to be honest.

Forget the stupid Codex, we're going to cheat them.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

I mean, the video idea might be our best bet.

Or some kind of robot. Can't you plant your consciousness into something?
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

Right, but I was talking about specifically going with you physically.

Yeah. Be creative.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

Huh? What do you mean?

In the worst case, I can take her and you can join on video call or something.
