Some of the foods that were on the table in front of him, Niallus never really tried ReTan cuisine before. Either way it smelled pretty good. Picking up a dumpling then taking a bite out of a dumpling, it's soft, other than that, it was good. Looking across the table, it seems Rikard is having a conversation with the guide. After taking another bite of the dumpling.

"Do you think that matter outside has been settled?" he asked Xiulain.

Xiulan smiled quickly at Niallus' inquiry, but it did not reach her eyes. "I sink it is probably be done," she replied. "The police are very good to catch people." She tried another dumpling. "So," she exclaimed, moving the conversation along, "How do we like the food?"

Niallus smiles, nodding his head. "I do. I've never tried food like this before." he takes a sip of his drink to wash it down. The drink was pretty good too. "By any chance, could I be shown how to make these, so I can make them back home?"

Niallus ponders to himself about this police that Xiulan mentioned. Something seemed off to him. If the police were good at capturing people, then why ask us to come here. Then again it might just be that he knows very little about ReTan and its culture. "Can I ask you something. What can you tell me about this police that you mentioned? Do they have titles based on rank? I'm only asking since I know very little about ReTan." he asks her.

Xiulan's face grew visibly paler - almost comically so if it wasn't for just how strong the reaction was. "Oh, you know. Zey have ze ranks." She waved her hand dismissively and let out a nervous laugh. "Zis isn't really my specialty, you know." She hammered back her cup of baiju in a most unladylike fashion, but then Captain Zhu was there, laying a gentle hand on her shoulder. They conferred rapidly in Retanese for a moment and the head guard's eyes flicked between Niallus and Xiulan. A handful of Avincian words could be heard mixed in with the Retanese before Captain Zhu spoke. "Retan have many police. You see tomorrow." He addressed Niallus directly.

Something wasn't adding up. She's definitely hiding something based on how she was suddenly acting from that question. Looking at Captain Zhu, he's response made Niallus smile "That's good can't wait to see." he said with a smile. It would best for Niallus not to ask questions like this, especially in front of Zhu. He would have to ask Xiulan when she on her own. But for now it'll be best to avoid them for now.

After he finished eating he asked Xiulain if she, or the some cooks could show him how to make the dumpling. She happily shown him to the kitchen, where he was shown how to make them. It wasn't actually that difficult. First, he poured boiling water over the flour while mixing with chopsticks, Then added the room temperature water. Stir until no more liquid can be seen.
Combine and knead the dough with your hands until it becomes smooth.
Cover the bowl then rest for 30 minutes. While waiting he sorted out what filling he would like to choose, but Xiulan mentioned that he could try different fillings when he is home. After putting the filling into some of the dough, the time came to fold the dough to hold the filling. Niallus thought he did a good job. When they were fully cooked some of the dumpling had their fillings bursting out.

Niallus just smiled and figured that he put to much filling in them, but didn't mind, he'll just have to practice some more. He thanked Xiulan for showing him on how to make them. Then tried to find his way back to the others.

As Niallus and the others came out of the other side of the portal, somehow Yalen arrived at the same time as everyone else. He greeted his friend. A crowd of people seemed to look at the group with their sudden arrival. Others shortly arrived, not doubt the people who the group are supposed to meet with. Didn't expect this many to meet us.

The people that greeted them seemed to be guards and one of them other people seemed to be a translator. The guards bowed in a greeting matter, Niallus smiled and leaned forward, returning the bow to them."A pleasure to meet you.". He didn't seem to mind the assuming that Yalen is the leader of their group. Listening to the translator introduce themselves and the others. Maura was already on that by introducing the party to the translator and their company.
The one thing that did interest him was why all the soldiers have to be introduced, I wonder if it's a tradition for them to introduce themselves, but still it seems over the top. no matter, he kept that though in case someone else picked up on it. With all the introductions it was already starting to get dark, so the party was escorted to the inn that they were staying. That's another thing that Niallus kept to himself for now, Why are we staying in an expensive inn as she explained it completely free of charge?

As the group walked through the streets. The residents seemed to just look at the students, it seems they are all the centre of attention. But that could mostly be because of Kaureerah. He could hear people speaking in Retannese. Hearing Kaureerah play her music seemed to put people into high spirits. Rikard was even joing in with her little musical moment. The couples of the group walked together. Abdel and Maura holding hands. Niallus offered his to Ingrid. The culture and the scenery here is amazing. Hopefully we'll get some time to do some exploring around, trying some the food. Maybe the couples can spend time just with each other

His thoughts came to abrupt end, as the party stops to a small disturbance. whatever it was, it put the guards on alert with them mobilising to respond with Captain Zhu taking charge. Somethings going on, probably best for us to not get involved just yet. Xiulain explains that it is just a petty theft and we shouldn't worry about it. In front of the group, was the inn. Given how quick the day went by, seems that everyone wants to get settled in first before we start with our task.

As life for the school was coming to an end for this year. Students already set off on their own little journeys during these months until school started once again. The time had come for Niallus to spend some time back home. He said his farewells to his friends. While getting himself ready he felt a sense of joy, just from the things he had done in the short time from coming to Ersand'Enise. He said goodbye to a few others who were still around, saying he'll see them all in the next school year.

As he was about to set off from his dorm. Waiting for him was Ingrid, wanting to spend some time with him before he uses the portal to travel to Meldheim in Eskand. At this point I don't think they cared about keeping their relationship a secret. As they got to the portal to take Niallus home, Ingrid didn't want him to leave, holding onto his hand. He reassured her that he'd come back to her. This seems to put her mind at ease. Just before stepping through the portal, he hands Ingrid a small box, curious what it is, she opens it. Inside was a pendant with an amethyst at its centre. Ingrid's light up with joy, she looked so happy by how lovely it looked. Wasting little time, she takes it out of the box to immediately put it on. She gives him a parting gift too, a nice lovely crafted dagger, to help keep him safe. Attached to the hilt was a note. Ingrid told him that the dagger will keep him safe until he comes back and to read that note once he's home. Niallus was happy about his gift, so after one last hug and a kiss he stepped through the portal back to Eskand.

While coming through the portal in Meldheim, he was greeted by some people who worked at his family estate, as they were here to pick him up, under the order of his grandfather. As the carriage got closer, he could see his family estate, from looking out one of the windows. It had been a few months since he left home. Nothing much had really changed, but he had changed himself. Reunited with his Eskandish friends Sven, Marlijn and Owain. Rekindling his friendship with his childhood friend Ingrid, who he is now dating. Even made some new friends. Had some crazy adventures that he could tell his grandfather when sees him. As the carriage came to a stop, some workers opened the door for him to get out. A few soldiers that have been trained by his family in combat, then again even though Niallus family is small, the amount of soldiers that they train makes up for it. Even some of the other Noble families hired them to help with escorts and just as bodyguards. Amongst the soldiers to greet him was his Grandfather.

After spending some time with his grandfather, sparring with some of the soldiers. Some didn't think much of him. Niallus went to his room to relax, greeting some of the servants as he walked past them. Inside his room, he opened up the letter that Ingrid gave him. All it said was to arrive at the hot spring that was half a day's journey from his family's estate. It even had a date on it of when he should leave, which was set a month from now. It even had how long he'd be there.

Until then he divided up his time. From sparring with the new recruits to help train them. The other part of his time, he was being trained by his grandfather on how to use dark magic. There was a catch however, since his grandfather was getting on in life, he would only be able to teach him the basics on how to draw from the void. Learning how to draw in theory seemed simple, but applying in practice was a different matter. A month almost passed, he slowly started to get the hang of it. But he needed to have a break, luckily the time he was supposed to meet Ingrid.

While spending time with Ingrid at the hot spring. They were able to be themselves, a couple. People often asked if they were together, they didn't seem to mind letting strangers know they were. They seemed to enjoy the days together. But sadly the time came where Niallus and Ingrid had to part ways once more.

When Niallus returned home his Grandfather was suspicious at first but considering how hard he was training to get this done, he didn't mind the boy wanting to get away and relax. Niallus went back to training feeling more energised with his training.

The second month seems to pass, watching his Grandfather train some recruits, while he trained with them. Throughout that time Niallus got a bit taller, making him about 6'5. He didn't even notice at first, until someone mentioned it. With only days left before he had to head back to Ersand'Enise for school, Niallus managed to get the basics for Dark magic done. With that being said, Niallus bid farewell to his Grandfather for now, and returned to Ersand'Enise.

Once back at Ersand'Enise, meeting a few of his friends. Once he got settled back, since he never told Ingrid that he came back, he figured to surprise her. Niallus found Ingrid in the library, with a pile of books around her, lost in her own world. Eventually she sees Niallus, with sheer joy she runs up to him giving him a hug and a kiss, his height wasn't noticeable throughout his time away, but when standing in front of Ingrid he's roughly the same height as her. Didn't matter that she welcomed him back with another kiss and hug and suggested that they should go to Zenobucks.
Limbo

How long has it been? How long have I been like this? From minutes to hours, they just blur together to me. I've been like this, stuck in a state of limbo. It's been so long I don't know how long I can't remember what I was before this. I wonder how many years passed, or maybe centuries. My thoughts have been the only thing I can control, to call my own. While my body refuses to respond to me, it's in its own slumber.

If it truly has been such a long time since I was imprisoned, then no doubt in my mind that all my friends and family. Even trying to think about that, I struggle to even remember that too.

I long to be set free from this cage that confines me. To feel the sun upon my skin, gentle breezes that touch my skin. But, I believe that those desires are just a distant memory to me. The only way that I'll be free from my prison, is that someone from the outside turns the key. However, I do think that time will be soon. My only fear is, will this brave new world accept me, or reject me. One way or another, my time to awaken is drawing near.

Nox Arcanum

With Nox Arcanum festivities in full effect, children dressed as monsters scaring each other while laughing. The five moons high in the sky, it clearly was a lovely night. Ingrid and Niallus planned to spend some time together. She had cooked a meal for both of them, then after they planned to enjoy the festival together. Walking to hers he saw Sven and Esmii together, they seemed to be enjoying themselves. That's good.

Hearing a distant scream caused Niallus to stop, at first he thought he was just his imagination, then he heard it again. Looking around, it seems that everyone else around him couldn't hear it. No surprise, this is a festival after all. Wanting to investigate, Niallus moves his way through the busy crowd. A rough guess of where the noise came from. He may have to apologise to Ingrid, for being a little late.

Seems Niallus wasn't the only one that heard the noise. Others arrived, or were already there. Two faces Niallus recognised, Ayla and Desmond. Kaspar, he only heard from Ingrid, since they were planning to open up a hotdog business together. The others were a mystery, A man in a Royal Frobas mask, a Nun and a Knight. He would eventually get their names after. But right now, it seems they have bigger problems. The source of the noises was in fact a dragon.

We managed to stun and topple the dragon. But we couldn't come to an agreement to finish it. Ayla was convinced that this dragon was Zarina. Due to this confusion, the dragon managed to recover and the fight happened again. Niallus managed to help Desmond. As well as helping Kasper however Niallus suffered a minor injury.

During the fight. Ayla managed to summon a demon somehow. It was a demonic egg. The yolk even had an odd shape to it, almost like it had a face. However the fight continued on, but we had the egg demon helping us fight. Even with the egg helping us, since the Nun who eventually gave her name as Sister Laska. While the man behind the Frobas mask revealed himself as King Sancho. This night was full of surprises.

The dragon started to get frustrated so it drew an enormous amount of energy sucked in by this monster. It was astonishing, all the members of the group were all concerned about what was coming next and it wasn't going to come next. Light started to build up in the beast's mouth, it was preparing a breath attack.

Then it fired its breath attack, starting at its feet, it was immensely concentrated, and the stream progressed into what looked like flames, just stand there everyone could feel the heat emitting from this attack. By merely raising its head, the beam sliced vertically like a hot knife through butter. The dragon couldn't even truly control it as its head started to go in different directions. The group was trying to evade as best they could, just enough to survive. However if some of the walls of the structure were destroyed then people would be killed outside. So, the group stood ready to defend, to contain the attack from getting out.

The others managed to defend themselves and the wall. Niallus took quite a bit of damage from it, but he protected the wall from only being destroyed. He couldn't risk taking another hit like that, but when the egg was about to be killed by the dragon, Niallus bravely defended it. This point he had nothing left in him. But somehow the egg managed to ascend to godhood. As the egg built up a huge amount of magic and obliterated the dragon. With its immense power, the god egg managed to produce a very slimy and very naked Zarina. Before it disappeared completely it left three small black eggs. Niallus got one of the eggs, it could be useful in the future.

With the dragon defeated, a naked Zarina was confused thinking that this whole thing is just a dream. Kaspar went round healing everyone who was injured while some others tried to get rid of some of the leftover radiation from the dragon's remains, there were a few things that could be looted. Niallus took A Primordial Egg, which was from the Egg Demon god thing. Fuming Obsidian Thick residue, but luckily his friend Desmond offered to borrow Niallus a glowvein chest to safely store the radioactive material until he found a use for it. With that being said Niallus finally remembered that he was definitely late for his dinner date with Ingrid. Before he left, he asked Desmond if he could drop the chest and the residue off at his dorm in the morning as he was running late for something. Desmond didn't ask questions, he just gave him a thumbs up.

By the time he got to Ingrid's door it was the early hours of Shune. He wondered if she was even still awake at this point. Knocking on the door, it opened. Ingrid saw that he turned up, she greeted him with a kiss, she has been worried about where he has been since he's a few hours late. She holds his hand as she walks him inside. Something was wrong, something icky so she let go. She had a mixture of grime and blood on her fingers. Looking back to him, she realised it wasn't a costume and her concern came through as she asked what the hell happened to him.

Niallus was just glad to see her, giving her a hug. Apologising for making her worry. He asked if he could get cleaned up here and get changed into some of the clothes that he has left here. Then he'll tell her what happened. She grabs a washing basin for him so he could clean himself up. He gives her a kiss. Hopefully they'll still be time to go out together to celebrate Nox Arcanum together, if not, at least they have each other.

Big thank you to @dragonpiece I had a lot of fun with these Collabs

Niallus and Maura

Location:. Outside the Auction house.

Big thank you @Ti for this little banter.

The auction had not long come to a close, all the young participants were collecting the items that they bid on in exchange for their hard-earned magi. Niallus managed to get two items. As Niallus looks around, it seems the other members of his team have already left the auction house, no doubt to celebrate on how well they did finish second. "Guess those guys couldn't wait, so impatient. After all, it was well-earned" As more people that won prizes left the building, a familiar face with a wheelchair came out. It was Maura. He shouts her name to get her attention, followed by a polite wave to her.

Maura was caught by surprise as Niallus called out after her, and after making her excuses with the others, she made a moment to be with him as she rolled across and approached. “Here we are, simultaneously the richest and poorest in my life on the same day.” as she gave him a playful smile as she showcased the events of the day. The side of her mouth raised into a slight smirk, “Been getting some very dark looks from your girlfriend, she is not happy. Let her know it is not personal, only business. She cannot walk out with the entire auction, after all”. She adopted a warmer smile as she held out her hand towards him, “Congratulations on coming second”

Niallus gives a little chuckle from Maura's little joke. "Such is life, you make money, then you lose it." he accepts her hand that she put out towards him, giving it a little shake. "Yeah, we did really well. We were practically the underdogs throughout the entire competition. We're really close to winning, too." A little bit of a competitive tone came out. Then Niallus tilts his head based on what Maura said before, "Girlfriend? What Girlfriend?" with a confused look on his face, wondering what Maura was talking about.

She smiled rather mischievously at the comment, “We misunderstood those puppy-dog eyes of yours, ignore it.” waved her hand dismissively as she returned to the previous comment. “People weren’t expecting a second-rate team to win, so they were too eager to dismiss us as we took advantage of their ignorance. Too busy targeting Jocasta rather than… her second rate stand-in” a previous reference to a heated barbed comment the Eskand boy made. “Either way, we have everyone's attention and focus. What are your plans now?”

Feeling like he missed whatever she was talking about, he just shrugged his shoulders. He nods in agreement with what she was saying. Even when she stopped talking because she seemed to sound competitive. He gives her a soft smile. He thought Maura was a person who did it by the book sort of girl. "You're right, because of this we are going to have huge targets on our backs. We'll need to be vigilant, so we don't get blind sided by someone. He gives it a little thought about what she said about him having plans? "I…I honestly have no idea what to do, I guess I'll head back home. My Grandfather wants to train me some more, but he didn't say what." looking at her, '' What about yourself? Do you have any ideas of what you want to do?" He was a little curious about what her answer would be?

“So your old man wants to pass on his wisdom? You should listen closely and pay your respects. You will regret it if you don’t.” she brushed a hand through her hair as she released a soft sigh, then putting on a braver smile “Sometimes you don’t know what you have until you lose it”. Maura imagined that his old-man may have been feeling the burden of his years upon him, and felt pressured to part with his wisdom. A rather warm image, though such actions could become oppressing without context.

She pondered for a moment as she considered her plans, “My road leads me to Callanst, most likely. Got to set up a bunch of stuff with these new territories. Trying to decide if we should go on two separate journeys or attempt to circumvent the world”. She ponders a moment, given the timings of the semester break, such a feat is most unlikely to occur. “A girl can dream, right?” she offered him a bright smile. Callanst is the future, a continent rich in opportunities ready to be exploited, and she is going to make it her goal to be one of the first major players there, and with Gaskum and Longwan, she has footholds on either side of the continent, she is in prime position to reap the rewards.

Niallus nods in agreement to her statement, with a smile "Dreams are a good thing, sometimes they can help us push forward. I'm sure you'll be able to achieve it. After all, you've proven that you can determine if you put your mind to it." he was unsure if his advice would be helpful. "But back to your other thing you said, about my Grandfather." his voice becomes sincere. “Honestly, I owe everything to my Grandfather. While my parents were away, he was the one who helped me control my magic. Without the proper training, my magic is extremely dangerous to others around me.” looking back at her, curious about what she meant about the statement about not getting another chance. “Did you get to know your Grandparents?”

Maura simply smiled in a warm and playful manner, “This one dreams big, so you better watch out, Niallus!” finishing in a faux menacing giggle with her hand over her mouth in a coy manner. “It is refreshing to see someone have such faith in my abilities. Usually have to spend my time attempting to convincing people that we are not a frail wallflower that should be seen but not heard, and the other half who thinks this one should not been seen at all.”

At his question, she simply swirled a few strands of her hair, “Let’s say ‘It's complicated’ for my situation. My mother died during childbirth and her parents blamed me. My grandmother on my father’s side was amazing, but she died of the cangrejo disease when we were only five. However, Tío y Tía, Uncle Juan and my Aunty Bella were big on family and played a big part. He died of the cangrejo disease when papá and myself were on the Horseshoe. We had an argument before we left, a silly one, there wasn’t an opportunity to make amends. Tía reassured me that he forgave and forgot long ago.”

That statement she made about dreaming big, seems like she has big goals. “That's good then. Hopefully you'll be able to achieve them.” the only thing that made him curious, was that giggle of hers.

She wasn't kidding about it being complicated. Niallus kinda felt bad asking her about her family. “I'm sorry, If you didn't feel comfortable, you didn't have to tell me. It mustn't have been easy for you to discuss family matters like that to more or less a stranger.” smiling at her. He wasn't going to say that he understood how she felt, when he clearly didn't. He barely had family as it was. "Anything else you want to talk about? Or do?” sitting down on a nearby seat.

Maura tucked the strands of her hair back behind her ear as she tilted her head to the side as she offered him a soft smile, “It is the custom in Varrahasta that if you ask a girl for their time, you reward them with a sweet treat at a food vendor.” she blushed as she dropped the hint. “Zenobucks should be nearby. We heard from a friend that they are starting to sell Macarons now.” She shifts in her chair as she sets it in motion, starting to slowly move away. “Are you coming~?”

Not wanting to be left behind, he gets up to catch up with Maura. “Sure, a Zenobucks sounds good.” Walking with Maura. “Thanks for that insight, Maura. However, we aren't in Varrahasta. If we were, I might have, but we aren't.” with a slight snark tone complete with a mischievous grin.

She raised an eyebrow at the comment, “We sometimes forget you are a barbarian from a backwards land who communicate via grunts and clubs.” closing one eye as she peered up with the other, her own mischievous grin is wider. “That can be corrected, naturally. First thing when out with a girl is that you escort her by taking her arm, though circumstances permitting, a hand shall do.” she raises a hand towards Niallus to take. “If it starts to rain, you carry the umbrella for the both of us, and the priority is to prevent it falling on me.”

Niallus shakes his head with a smile from Maura's explanation and her remarks on what he should do, as well as Eskand culture. Playing along, he takes her hand. “But milady, how would I be able to carry my club if I'm holding your hand.” with a smirk on his face. “But I'm so glad that you used small words, so my backwards brain can understand. If not, you might have had to use grunts for me to understand.” trying his hardest to not burst out laughing. It seems he's starting to get along with Maura, even though to some people it doesn't look like it. She has a sarcastic charm to her that he respects.

She simply smiles sweetly, “That is permissible. You shall leave it at your cave whilst we work upon your etiquette and your pronunciation. You may order an ‘Ayla’, a coffee with milk and honey, and a Macaroon. Likewise, you then may order something you desire, then pay the friendly vendor with a polite thank you.” She squeezed upon his fingers as they start to approach the vendor. “Time to put this into practice.” as she turned to flutter her eyelashes towards him in an encouraging manner.

Feeling her squeezing his fingers, she's really getting into this, or she could be nervous, it's hard to tell. Listening to her "instructions" on how to order something appropriately, the fluttering eyelashes were a bit much. Approaching the vendor, Maura's grip on his hand more tightly, then softer. He clears his throat “Good evening, Can I order two 'Ayla' coffee's with honey and milk, and two portions of macarons please.” the vendor nods, instructing them that it'll take a while for his order to be made. So they offer Niallus and Maura a table while they wait. “Did that meet your standards?” he said to Maura with a smile. He also wondered how long she was going to hold his hand, if it's any longer, this will feel more like a date.

“You know, it will be difficult to eat with one hand, you are free to let go.” she smirked toward him as she teased, not releasing a hold upon his hand as she drank from the coffee cup then placed it upon the table as she helped herself to a delicious looking pink macaroon with her free hand. “What are your plans after the academy? Plan to return home, stay and become a Tan-Zeno, or put down some roots elsewhere?”

“That's fair.” at first, it seemed that Maura didn't want to let go of his hand, he eventually did. Taking a quick sip of his coffee, then takes a bite out of a macaroon. He wonders about what he'd do after the academy. “I'm not really sure what I want to do after the academy. I mean, I thought about being the head of my family. There are a few things I want, however it'll mostly come down to if I can survive. I might settle down, no idea who I'd settle down with.” he takes another sip of his coffee. “what about you, what are your goals after the academy. Are you going back home to settle down with someone?”

Maura simply puts on a sweet smile as Niallus let go of her hand, and distracts herself by savouring her macarons, which were definitely the visit by themselves. The answer to the question was a simple one, “We are going to create what will be a successful trading company with a ship in every port, amigo. Then you would never get away from my influence.” she adopted a faux-menacing tone as she finished off the treat playfully. Easily softening as within a moment, “gracias, this was a nice relaxing distraction.”

He smiles at her. “de nada, I'm glad that this was able to help you.” he takes a bite of a macaroon. Thinking about what she mentioned, he was intrigued by her new trading company. “Oh, your family is starting a new trading company, with a ship in every dock. That's cool. Can I ask what your family sells?” taking another sip from his coffee. If this deal does go through for these ships. There'll definitely be no escape from her family's influence.

She raised an eyebrow at the reply in her surprise, “¿Hablas Torragònese?” She moved on to address his question. “If by family, you mean me, si. Need to protect my Callansti interests, and Ersand’Enise does offer some very favourable rates. Will take time, but that is my goal, using my ships to bring the world together, where we can freely trade and share many pleasures which would simply be unattainable” after her speech, she placed the empty plate and cup upon the table, “As for the family business, they provide transport along the Horseshoe trading route, primarily shipping Terracotta, Cattle, Spices, and Horses from Torragon and returning with goods from around the twin-continents.”

Maura pushes herself away from the table and twists the chair toward Niallus. “However, it is growing late. So it is time for a lady to depart. See you again in our Zeno class, we have a busy year ahead of us.” offered her hand out towards Niallus as she bids him goodbye.

Looking at the time on his pocket watch, she was right, it was rather late. He grabs what's left of his macaroon.“Maura, wait.” getting up to follow her. “If you are wanting to go, please allow this backwards barbarian to escort you back to your dorm as a thank you for your time.” he says with a warm smile, with a little bow. Then he offered to take her hand again.

She smiled warmly as Niallus was being a gentleman towards her, “For a barbarian, you are not so bad. Just don’t forget your club, how else can you communicate with the others of your kind without it.” she winked towards him in an obvious tease, and allowed him to escort her back.

Location:Ersand'Enise. Niallus's dorm room.

The night after the auction, the trails had finally come to a close. Niallus had a lot of fun and effort, his team came second, so that's something at least. Niallus woke up, finding his head held up by one of his hands, his whole body leaning into one side of his seat. A candle on his desk, partly lights up the room with a cool warm glow. There was no sound from the whole room, which was refreshing.

[color=3d5a88]"I wonder when I fell asleep,"and looking around the room, trying to gather his senses. Satisfied he stands up, feeling a little stiff, so he stretches. Once done he looks over to his desk. On it are the item's that he bought from the auction. The Ancient Great Neskal, "The Mother '' iteration and a Schluckodil egg. Niallus lets out a heavy sigh,
"I wish I managed to get that ticket to the La Vita Rossa. It would have made a great wedding gift for my friend. Then again," looking at the Schluckodil egg, ''from what my mother said, Ragnar's wife loves Schluckodils. Plus it'll give them practice for when they decide to have children."He smirks from that, if Ragnar heard him say that remark, he'd probably pay for it. Even if it was true. Looking down he must have been reading something since there is a book on the floor next to the chair he was asleep in. He picks it up and places it onto the desk. Feeling an itch in his throat he grabs a little drink.

Stood looking out the window, the moon high up in the sky, half cast by shadow. "I've had a lot of fun during this week." Taking a sip, "I've enjoyed my time with team Secto. Although we were surprised that Leander was actually Fiske. We had our fun moments, especially stealing that stagecoach for the Thin air eve-." his face went a bit grim, remembering that he owes someone a new stagecoach, since it was his idea, and it completely fell apart after the event. "Terrific, I completely forgot about that…" shrugging his shoulders and taking another sip from his cup.

He changes the subject by trying to remember what he was dreaming about when he fell asleep, he couldn't come close to remembering what he was dreaming about. letting out a disappointing sigh, Niallus finished off his drink, "When I get back home, I'll have to pay a visit to Ragnar, congratulate him in person. Can give him that egg too." He places the empty cup onto the desk, he slumps back into his chair. He wonders what the future will hold for him at Ersand'Enise. Just thinking about it makes him smile with anticipation. Picking up the book that he placed on his desk once more "Tales of Sipenta: The Laughing Knight. What page was I on again?" opening the book, Looking inside its pages it seems that he lost the page he was on. Cursing under his breath, with a shrug of his shoulders he opens it up on its first page and begins reading.

Event: Roses and Neskals

Mentions: Ingrid @Dragonpiece

Stepping through the portal, with the rest of team Secto the Rose and Neskals Tournament. Hearing the crowds roar in excitement, put Niallus on edge, since he'll be playing in front of huge crowds. His first match they were up against a team that were the fan favourites for the entire event. Afraval, in Anghaz, Virang. Secto had the worst matchup straight off the bat, a team that most of the players are ridiculously strong. The chances of us surviving, never mind winning, are very slim.

Trying to calm himself down, Niallus takes a trip around, to explore the area in search of treasure. He takes a look into an abandoned ruin, untouched for god knows how long. Exploring the ruin further, the dust doesn't really seem to bother him that much. But it'll be best for him to stay on his guard. Arriving at a fork, he can either take these really fragile looking stairwell, or an unlocked storage area. Niallus's brow furrows "Which way?" He looks at one then the other. Looking on the floor he finds a small stone, picking it up, he gently throws it onto the stairs. It makes contact, followed by low creak noise. Immediately some of the stairs just collapse. Niallus covers his mouth, the dust still gets to him and he starts to cough from a huge amount of dust kicked up from the stairs collapsing. "So I'm not going that way." Waving his hand in front of his face, looking to the unlocked door, it seems he has no choice now, Cautiously opening the door. Hopefully it won't cause anything else to collapse. Inside all was a wardrobe and a locked dresser. Curious about them, he decides to open the wardrobe first. Opening it, one of the doors came off "Oops!" Placing it down on the floor. Looking inside the wardrobe, inside was some really old and really dusty clothes, rummaging through them all of them that he could see had giant holes in them that looked like the work of moths. Disappointed he turns round ready to leave when he realises the set of drawers.

Trying to open the first draw, it doesn't budge, it's locked. Looking at the lock it's completely rusted over, no chance of picking this lock, he'll have to break it open. Using a small amount of arcane magic, he creates a makeshift claw on the tip of the index finger on his left hand. He snaps the lock off with a swift motion of his hand, he breaks the lock and is able to open the first draw. Opening it up, he was a little disappointed that it had nothing inside. "This is looking like a bust to me. Still I have one more draw." The lock on the second draw wasn't as rusty as the previous, so he could pick this one. Eventually opening it all that was inside was a strange compass, picking it up "A compass?" Opening it up, the needle points off into a direction. "That's odd. It's not pointing north, is it broken?" Looking at the back of the compass. It seems it was Engraved with six letters 'V.I.S.O.E.D' "what does this mean? I'll have to look into it after the trials." Walking back out of the room he remembers that the first match will be starting soon so he runs as quick as possible, not to be late.

Before Round 2 started, Niallus took a short trip along the shore line, he eventually meeting a stallion that was completely spooked. He managed to calm it down but he wondered where it even came from. It lead Niallus further down the shore where he came across a Thresher that seem to be caught in a net and was terrified, based on how it trashed around. Too scared the horse bolted away while Niallus walked closer to the Thresher. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm here to help. Don't eat the help." Eventually he manages to free the Thresher. It stands their, it's giant frame looking at Niallus. However Niallus takes a step back from it and the Thresher does the same. Wondering a theory Niallus moves to the right, it does the same. It seems to be mimicking the actions that he does, he wondered if it imprinted on him thinking Niallus as it's parent. Niallus puts a hand up to in attempt to pet it, it does a makeshift fist bimp with it's huge claw, walking away the Thresher egarly follows him. Seem he has a new pet, and it's a big one.

Before Round 3 Niallus wasn't alone for this treasure hunt to the swamps. He managed to reunite with his childhood friend, Ingrid. They had a lot of fun. Sure they nearly got eaten by giant toads but he managed to get a magical rifle, The Plainsman's Rifle a state-of-the-art flintlock sniper rifle, imbued with runic manas. Dark, sleek, and simple in design. He doesn't use firearm much, he could use this as an opportunity to get some practice with it, or trade to someone else. it cost him a shirt since he destroyed it trying to get rid of the smell of toad bile off him.

Deciding once again to go on another adventure with Ingrid, they took a trip into the sewers. Niallus ended up up with a mouthful of sewage, fell down a hole completely soaked in sewage and may have a concussion. Honestly it was a little embarrassing in front of Ingrid but she didn't seem to care, she was even a little worried about me, it was sweet. Since they wasted so much trying to get back together, they went back in after the final game of Roses and Neskals. There was a bit of tension between the two, but they managed to get past this and find an item for Ingrid and a map of the catacombs, which they will hold onto for another adventure together.
