No worries @Shaktzi took me forever to figure out coding stuff!! I still need to look things up!
@The Forgotten i moved this over for you in case you would still like to edit and play this character.

I have added some resources to help anyone who wants to get into the swing of things. If you have a resource that you have found helpful that is not listed, let me know!

The year is 1921. The place, New York City.

In this bustling town bursting with new beginnings and new money, crimes are committed on the regular. With the prohibition, which is regularly ignored, gangsters have popped up along with the Speakeasy. And the Great War finished not some three or four years ago, there has been many a loss. But the 1920's brings a lot of new hopes. And new freedoms for women.

Introducing Miss Hobbs and her Paranormal Investigative Team. Well, it's not a team just yet. It's only just starting out. They look into strange deaths and Miss Hobbs has been known to cavort with the spirits. A great party trick to most. In this new age where a woman can vote and get a job, the young heiress who has inherited a great estate from her father has decided to do something interesting with her downtime. Why not detective work?

Newspaper Ad:

Ex-cop down on your luck? Frustrated housewife looking for a hobby? Looking for capable, inquisitive, and clever people to begin an investigation business. Apply by phone.

You are those who have gone through the application process and been accepted into this new and fabulous career. There is just one thing Miss Hobbs has left out. The supernatural. You yourself may possess some small amount of gifts or may just be the average Joe. None the less you are all invited to a penthouse flat to begin your work.

I would like anyone who wants to join to keep in mind the era. Many of the men have been in WWI. As a woman, you might have held a factory job or worked as a nurse at the front. Now that the war is over women were removed from their factory jobs and were supposed to return to a life of family. The skills you have should reflect this. But I am hoping for a diverse and interesting cast of characters.

Some archetypes I would LOVE to have are: the ex-cop/detective, gentle housewife, Jazzman, the failed actress, and the shell-shocked soldier.

None are of course required, but some things that might be fun to see and play with. I am very open to new ideas and thoughts as well. The roleplay is character driven with a GM detail post offering things like time of day, descriptions of places, and of course our lovely cast of NPC's.

The game is located in casual as I want to allow people to challenge themselves. However, I think my idea has gotten a bit complex and might scare off some. The general idea is something like a cross between DND and video games. No dice rolls, interactions more important. Feel free to ask questions here or on the RP.

@Shaktzi I have to say, this boy has a special place in my heart. As a fellow Sconnie!
@Fabricant451 I love her so much! I'm excited to see her story!
@Shaktzi I am liking it so far! If you could please use the CS format as I have provided above that would most fantastical.

@Polyphemus Delightful! You have encapsulated much of what I am looking for in this. Accepted, please move him over to the character tab! Name your hider, upon moving it over, the name of the archetype he will portray.

@knifeman I would prefer if you are wanting to add a pic, that they be of real people. Don't worry, you are not the only one who has a drawn picture, I will make an addendum to that rule to make myself more clear. Here are a few actresses of the era you can look at that I think have a similar sort of appearance. Betty Compson, Corrine Griffith, Marion Davies, and Anita Paige. Your drawing is absolutely lovely tho! Would make a good wanted poster if needed.

@The Forgotten I hope I haven't scared you off. Please feel free to PM if you have questions or want to discuss things. I am happy to be of assistance.
@The Forgotten hey hunny, sorry I didn't make this more clear but please post the character in the character tab once it has been accepted. If you would be so kind to move him to the ooc and I'll take a right and proper look on my lunch break at work!

Before I say anything about the CS, I suggest you take a look through the first post with the overview and rules. I also suggest doing a bit of research in rural America and prohibition in the twenties. I do like the eye thing tho.
