Name: Julie Galanis
Title: First
Age: 19
Gender: Woman
Occupation: Studying to become a composer and often busy planning events at the Juillard School.

Personality: Shy, have never liked to be in the spotlight. If she is to perform she prefers to be in a group,
otherwise she likes to handle the paperwork for concert events, as long as she is invited to enjoy the music. She loves
sounds, especially music but she can find herself equally enchanted by the daily sounds of nature, people and cities. She
also loves creation, she is obsessed with the idea of creating, whether it is music, buildings or...anything. Her people
skills is limited, due to her condition (mute), but she has a circle of friends she feels comfortable with and she is great with
children, feeling tremendous joy when she works with them, watching and listening to them improve upon their musical skills.
Since she is mute, she has developed a very keen sense of hearing. Her favorite sound is children's laughter.

Skills:

-She can't speak!
-Being mute has strengthened her other senses, especially her sense of hearing, she can hear sounds from greater distance
and determine where sounds come from better than the ordinary person.
-She can easily trick people in believing she is gullible and vulnerable, mostly due to her looks.
-A musical prodigy, she is well skilled in blow instruments, string instruments and piano. She higly prefers the flute.
-She is good at hiding her emotions.
-A heightened sense of alertness makes her quick to think of escapes/ways to get out of nasty situations.
-A fine cook.

Future Diary: The "Sound Diary. Julie's diary describe how a sound she will hear in the future will sound, when she will
hear it and the direction, from where she stands at the moment she hears it, the sound will come from. These descriptions
come as entries on her mobile phone at random times and can describe sounds she won't hear for weeks. It doesn't, however,
mention what it is that makes the sound.

Backstory: As the children of highly reputable musicians, Julie and her two-year older sister was introduced to the world
of music early in their lives. At the age of four, Julie and her sister had become well known around their parent's
colleagues for their talent, her sister praised for being a musical prodigy. Julie spent the most time to practise the
flute and singing, she loved to sing, while her sister played the piano. They were a great duo together, complemented each
perfectly, especially Julie's singing as her sister couldnt due to her being mute since birth. They were shown around New
York city to all kinds of notorious people, all admiring their talents and everything about JUlie's life was wonderful.

That was, until two years later. Julie had just turned six and for weeks she and her sister had performed in their greatest
roles yet, as daughters to a musician in a play about said musician in which their parents had composed the music. She and
her sister were enjoying themselves in their parent's loge watching TV. They would leave soon, promised their parents, they
were just going to quickly to hand some papers over to some person Julie didn't know and Julie didn't care to meet. All
the Galanis sisters cared about was their funny animated show, making them let out bursts of laughters from time to time
and kept them glued to the screen. Too glued, the sisters didn't notice that their parents had not closed the door, nor the
man who snuck into the loge and quietly crept up behind Julie. The last thing Julie heard was her sister's childish
laughter.

Julie woke up on a hospital several hours later, her body aching. She saw her parents sitting beside her, her father
holding her sobbing mother in his arms. She tried to speak to them, but couldn't, she panicked and moved around in
the bed, earning her parents attention. That was the day she found out someone had cut her throat and that she had
incredible luck to still be alive. She did not feel lucky, however, because this meant she could never sing again. Even
worse, though, was the fact that her sister had not survived. At the funeral they played some records of her sister's
composed piano piece, Julie would never forget those sounds, neither the sound of her sister laughing.

Thirteen years later, Julie has lived a decently normal life, considering her condition. It was hard to get used to it at
start and she became alot more shy, but she managed to gather a bunch of people she likes to think of as friends, most
of them from her interest in music. She is still very acknowledged among the great directors of New York and got dozens
of acquaintances in the music world. During the years that have passed, she has learned more musical instruments, in the
memory of her sister, and set up a goal to become a great composer. Also, when she was sixteen she started to take tours
around New York everyday, reveling in the sounds of a busy city, entering times, locations and descriptions of the sounds
into her phone. It was during the second of these she started to admire the concept of creation, deciding that, for her,
the best thing humans can create is music.

Sample Post: Whole night she had stayed at her friend's, coming home felt like hitting a wall of silence. Maybe it was her
sobering up, maybe it was just because she got away from the noise of the streets, filled with cars going to the
workplaces of her fellow New Yorkers. Her apartment always welcomed her with such a silence that it had almost become a
sound to her. The sudden change of sound intensity made her long for bed even more, so after locking the door and dropping
all she was holding on the floor she headed for her bedroom. Plunging into her bed she fell asleep directly.

"Hey, wake up, First.", a voice called to her. "No more sleepy time for you, I got important things to tell you~"
It felt like a second after she had threw herself onto her bed and a miniature female figure was standing on her, poking
her cheek. Groggily, still feeling the alcohol taking its toll, Julie slowly sat herself up on the bed, shoving the
disturbance off her body.
"Yeah, there we go!" Murmur exclaimed.
"Wha-Who?" Julie froze. "Why can I talk?"
"It makes it quicker for me to answer your questions, I don't have all the time in the world to explain all this, after
ninety days this game have to be done!"
"This must be a dream. But then, why does it feel like I just wake up?" Julie mumbled to herself, not quite following what
the short girl was rambling about. "What game?
"The game to decide who will become the next God of Time and Space of course!" Murmur happily said. "Now, where is your
phone?"
"Why would you need my phone?" Julie's voice was still shaky, both because of tiredness and the fact that she was happy to
hear her own voice again. As the girl didn't reply and just started to look around Julie's bedroom, Julie answered. "It
should be in my handbag that I left on the floor at the door."
Murmur went out of the bedroom.

Coming back, Murmur handed the phone to Julie and explained the whole thing, how she would have to use her phone's new
ability to foresee the future and track down and kill the other eleven diary holders if she wanted to become god.
"I wish you good luck, First. Now excuse me as I must run off to the other contesters" Murmur sighed. "I think I will
try to turn up to second when he seems a bit more awake." And like that, she was gone.
"Goodbye, Murmur" Julie said, just wanting the dream not to end, so she could continue speaking. Suddenly, she was
overwhelmed by tiredness and fell asleep before her head hit the pillow.

The sun was settling as she woke up, and she felt unusually alert. "I better take my daily walk before it gets too dark."
Julie thought. She noticed that she was holding her phone, which made her ponder if her she really had imagined all about
the game. As she came outside she looked up, as she always did, to marvel at the skyscrapers around her, created by the hands
of men. She started to think about what she could create as a god, and began to really hope that the information she got
from Murmur was true. Humans can create music. Sometimes we create life, sometimes we create death. But God, God created us.
