I'm not victim blaming but all generalizations are false, even this one.

Solomon

Solomon let out a gasp that combined his pain and astonishment as the black shaft leapt from the bow like a bat out of hell, impaling one of the hounds leaping through the air and dragging it backwards in a tangle of limbs and pain that eventually extuingished the light of one of the lanterns at the end. However perhaps more pertaining to Solomon was that teeth that so gently enclosed his wrist had not so gently bitten down rather savagely the instant the arrow was loosed. If not for the devouring maw around his hand blood would surely been flowing out of it, as it was Solomon simply felt his strength draining away along with a dizzy feeling. The bow's weight practically dragged him to the ground and he immediately leaned back against the closest wall to recover.

Son of a... Now he was glad he hadn't taken that practice shot earlier, if he had it would've been unlikely he'd be able to make this one. Certainly Solomon was in no condition to fire another of those, lest the bow take his whole arm next time. It seemed he'd be putting the blades of the bow to good use since firing it half killed him. From this viewpoint he could see Dwyn wandering off. Solomon gathered his voice for a shout before slowly exhaling. He was in no position to tell others what to do, certainly not against their wishes. After all he himself had considered ditching this fight and making his own way out, it would be simply improper to correct someone for doing the same.

Aiv seemed rather excited about the whole thing, swinging around that pillar of his and squashing anything in front of him. However it seemed the black weapons as a whole were incredibly taxing as a whole and Aiv quickly tired, leaving an opening for the shadowy figured to exploit. Luckily the group was covering each other as a whole, so Solomon continued resting and getting ready to jump into the fray to help again.

Bagon defeated before it could attack again. Good. Split up and try to defeat the Onix before it could cause damage to them. How many attacks would it take... Three? Three was a safe bet, in which case Onix would get close enough to attack one of them before it fell. Should Wooper make for the water again? No it would take too long. "Wooper, separate from Sprout and hammer the Onix with water gun!" Wooper waddled to the side a little, not moving much in comparison to Sprout but making the difference more substantial, before turning and blasting another stream of water at the rock-serpent that was barreling towards them.

No problems with you finding normal darts to use
My understanding of it is...

"The edge of a stage was marked with a line known as the "leg" or "leg line". Beyond this point one could be seen by the audience and those not required to be on stage had to remain back stage and not cross (break) the "leg line". In a time when performers would queue for an opportunity to perform, and were only paid if they did perform, to "break a leg" meant the performer crossed the line onto the stage and would therefore get paid. So to tell a performer to "break a leg" was to wish them the luck to have the opportunity to perform and get paid. The sentiment remains the same today, "good luck, give a good performance".
The Adventures Of Wisp Creep

Shatterpoint was waiting in a discreet sidestreet. As usual, no sign of henchmen or the like, though he did notably have a briefcase at his side. As soon as the light glimmered in his eyes he spoke brusquely, "Good, I've heard the Community is holding a Rally tonight. 8:30. I suspect Patriarch might be there, even if not this is a good chance for us to find out information about them." "us" in this case obviously meant Creep finding out things for the Rockers. Still it was a fair move, if the Rockers ever hoped to make a name for themselves they'd have to run into the Community so it would be good for them to find out as much about them, and their leader, as possible. Shatterpoint opened the case he was carrying, revealing two rows of five darts as well as a small blowgun. The darts had caps on them so they wouldn't be wasted on anything accidently. "You've been doing good work for me, so here. This stuff should knock out any capes in a few seconds, and it should do the trick and non-capes too. Keeps them out for at least an hour, you don't have to take it but I figured you might want something extra for this just in case you run into trouble. None of the Community's lieutenants should be able to find you anyway. You want more gear we can talk about it after you finish this." Shatterpoint set the case down on a trashcan and unfolded a small map and pointed out where the rally was supposed to be held. "Don't expect you to do anything, just observe and tell us what you see. Meet here again tomorrow and give your information to the Rocker waiting here. Anything else?" Given Creep hadn't anything else Shatterpoint would get into the same plain car he'd left the Warehouse in and drive off.
I think the party lacks some kind of long-ranged kick, so you can always do something like that.

Oi, this thing's got so much kick it nearly bit me hand off!
eh, shouldn't have taken that long for me to post but there ya go :<

With the fight going like this... It should be fine if they proceeded normally. Even if Wooper's and Sprout's next attack didn't take out Bagon, the one after surely would and things should fall into place. "Wooper, water gun Bagon once more." Hopefully the charging Pokémon would fall before it could land another attack. Though this fight had been someone difficult it seemed Martin and his tactics had managed to pull ahead. Somewhat oddly Dawkin had taken a bit of a back seat for most of this, or at least he felt this way. However unlike normal he didn't feel this was a weaknesses and didn't need to correct it right away. Most of the time Dawkin couldn't stand other people being ahead of him in anything. Even knowing Cathia had more Pokémon all of which were quite strong was a wound against his pride. Of course as a result he'd never spent much time working with others unless required and even then mostly lead them around to his whims. Already this journey had given him several new experiences and he's barely started.

Wow you described the aftereffects of what I imagined the weapon would do perfectly.
Still present.
