Nox dealt with Madeline's antics until he was certain that they were far enough away from the witches that he didn't have to risk her running back to them. It was testing to say the least. Between the kicking and the screaming, he had half a mind to let her go and face her death with what ever pride she felt she needed to up hold. But she would have died and he would have felt bad about it. Eventually he dropped her arm, tossing her away with a little more force than was really needed.
"Your Welcome," he said, with a slight growl in his voice.
"I'm starting with that because I know you'll never thank me, but I just saved your life whether you want to recognize that or not," His eyes flicked down her with an overly critical gaze.
"Although, to be honest, I don't think I should have wasted my time. I feel fairly confident that you'll fail to see morning, regardless. " As soon as the words left his mouth he regretted them. They were overly cruel, but he was frustrated. There was simply no explanation as to why he chased that stupid light, well dragon girl, to start with. Being angry at her was better than facing up to his own stupidity.
He was about to say something else, when another voice drew his attention.
"Hey! Over here!"Looking through the trees, he could just make out another figure. Male by the voice and hunter by the way he was charging at no less than five gnomes. Drawing his own sword, he turned and face the girl
"Well Miss Madeline," He said, testing the weight of his weapon.
"Looks like your fight starts now," Taking off at a run, he was easily able to slay two of the gnomes who had been distracted by man because he held their focus. But now the gnomes sensed the attack from behind.
"This'll be a lovely time." That it will be strange one, that it will be
