Bio

Hiii, I am Empour. I like roleplaying, but I have some kinda specific tastes. I have been doing this on-and-off for a few years, not always on this site. Be warned, my oldest stuff is exceptionally terrible.

I tend to prefer games which are not set in the present day. I like magic and stuff. Whether that magic takes the form of typical magical magic or "technology," I like it either way. I also loooove Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon and its universe, much more so than the standard one.

I like to create characters based on silly concepts, and then use them seriously to the best of my ability. If my characters sound a little bit ridiculous to you, that's probably intentional.

Previous highlights include:

A colonialist teenage witch, fresh out of magic school and ready to oppress some natives overseas for profit

A spacefaring civilization of communist pixies from beyond the galaxy

A scuba-wearing magical girl in a mysterious, creepy world of dreams and nightmares

A completely paralyzed blacksmith, who could do magnet magic or something

Whoa. Who exactly are these chosen Pokemon? They sound important.
I have no idea what to have Valentine do right now. He isn't exactly the type to just interact with someone out of the blue. Any suggestions?

Some bad Pokemon are going to show up soon. No doubt there will be commotion when they do. Perhaps his appearance can happen then?

Hat

Valiant Village, Riverside, Midday

Hat didn’t quite know what to do. She still had to maintain the image of urgency, but at the same time it didn’t sound like she would be able to rush ahead of this group again. She supposed she would just have to stay with them, but she could feel her story falling apart as she did. An outlaw in the mountains? Maybe there was, but frankly, who cares? They could be anywhere up there, and surely they already knew the Scizor was nearby. She was already regretting telling the Vanillite about it. Now when he realized that there was not in fact impending doom by outlaw, he would surely tell of her lie.

She resolved to instead follow the original plan, and hope the damage done to it wasn’t too bad. She would integrate herself with the town, and use her eventual influence as an excuse to investigate the guild and locate the treasures.

Hat visibly deflated, becoming smaller. She couldn’t believe herself, for getting wrapped up in that side-plan like that. She knew she needed the money as soon as possible for her long-term plans, but that was a bad idea. She would likely have to work even harder to get a good reputation, now that one pokemon knew that the first thing she’d done in town was tell a lie. This was going to be a long, long job.

She decided- She wouldn’t tell the guildmaster the same lie she did the vanillite. She would instead just stick with this nice group of individuals, with which she was at least slightly acquainted.

The Mawile, which she’d initially thought was just unhappy to see her, actually seemed to just be unhappy in general. Somehow, this was much more comforting. Hat resolved to get to know her first, as it looked like every other Pokemon was just a kid.

She’d start by apologizing. She had been rather rude earlier, after all.

“Hey, uh, Ms Mawile, sorry bout leaving you like that earlier,” she said, moving up next to her again.
Psst, @banana, wrong mountain. Hat's coming from a different direction than Flash is, and doesn't actually know that there is a real outlaw threat. She pointed in almost the complete opposite direction as Flash is actually in.

Drat. No luck with the little ice cream cone, either. He didn’t even work here. She’d have to ask even more people to get to the guildmaster.

Oh well. It’s not like she was in a rush or anything, there wasn’t actually any dangerous outlaws moments away from entering the town and pillaging it. She could wait.

Actually, she should probably decide on which outlaw she was gonna use for her story. The wanted posters hadn’t actually said anything about just what these criminals were capable of, just how dangerous they were according to some useless star-scale. That, and the sheer volume of the reward for bringing one in. The Scizor far outstripped the other two in both categories, and his poster was fresher, too. It was possible that the Jinx and Beedrill were both caught long ago.

She decided to use the Scizor. It would be a horrible embarrassment if she’d gone babbling about how there was a dangerous criminal nearby when said dangerous criminal was in jail already. Plus, bigger reward. Can’t go wrong there.

With that, she decided on her story. The first person she’d spread it to would be this Vanillite, who was apparently new to town as well.

“Name’s Hat,” she said, “I’m not from round here. I came here looking for work,”

“Anyway, I need to see the guildmaster. I saw someone who looks a whole lot like this Scizor character on my way over here, I figured he’d want to know,” she continued, motioning to the road she’d taken into town. If you were willing to stretch your definition of “a whole lot,” then she supposed one of the many Corphish she’d seen while following the river counted.

“So long, ice cream,” Hat said, before dashing off. She had to give the appearance of urgency, or else people wouldn’t take her seriously. However, she had absolutely no idea where the guildmaster was, or even what he looked like.

Well, she’d just have to look for something that made her think ‘Spirit’. Soon after leaving the guild, she found herself looking at the river again, with the Mawile down below, speaking to a totodile for some reason. Maybe she knew what he was, at least.

Hat approached the three of them. She hadn’t expected to speak to her again so soon, but she seemed nice enough.

“Hey, uh, Mawile, I need to ask another question,” she said, speaking up behind her again.

“D’you know what the guildmaster looks like?” she asked, “He wasn’t at the guild, and I really gotta talk to him,”
I think I did, I usually put those at the beginning of posts so people can see immediately who it's most relevant to. I think Banana just hasn't read it yet.
I really hope either Spirit shows up or a certain dessert replies soon, things are getting tense and I wanna post.

Also, Keldeo, were you going to add the newer characters to the accepted list in the OP?
To clarify, the direction Hat is coming into the town from is not the direction of the mountain Flash is coming over.

Valiant Village, Main street by the river, midday

According to the Mawile, the guild was indeed the buildings she’d seen before. Good. Somehow, she’d been expecting this to be harder. Apparently it wasn’t.

“Thanks,” she said, looking in the direction of the guild, “I just arrived here, I need to speak with the Guildmaster urgently,” she said, excusing herself. She would have liked to give a little more information, help spread the word that she was in fact a helpful traveller, but she hadn’t actually decided which of the outlaws to claim she’d seen.

With that, she left, without so much as a goodbye to the Mawile. Truth be told, she didn’t really want to speak to her again. She seemed both nice and unhappy to talk to her, which was... strange. Hat didn’t want any suspicion. At all.

A minute of fast walking through the town, and she was in front of the guild’s buildings. There were many Pokemon walking about, mostly in small groups. Hat noticed that most of them seemed to be children, for some reason.

It occurred to Hat that she had no idea just who the guildmaster was. She assumed it would be a ghost of some variety, considering the place was called Spirit’s Guild, but she couldn’t see any out and about. She would probably have to ask someone working there.

A Vanillite, a fellow ice type, didn’t look to be doing anything. Perhaps she’d ask him- Everyone else seemed to be busy.

“Hey, you,” she said, roughly, “You know where the guildmaster is?”
My apologies if Hat is being an interrupting snot, Ninian, I felt like it was kinda in-character for her.

Also, I really like Celty. I thought you should know that.
