We get our equipment, sorry I was in a rush to post, if you like I'll edit the post and try to push things forward a little more, maybe send us on our first mission if everyone is up for it.
Duke coughed and rubbed his eyes as he changed his gas mask's filter. God damn toxic dust always made his eyes itch and made it difficult to breathe. He finally put his mask back on and inhaled deeply in relief. The mask made it difficult to breathe but it wasn't nearly as bad as leaving the mask off. He pulled his hood back up over his head to warm his ears and rubbed his hands together as he stood up. He had been away from home for weeks and was missing his wife, hell he even missed Miguel, the town drunk. He sighed and pulled a picture from his pocket and smiled behind his mask. The picture was of Duke and a headless mannequin in a ruined dress standing in front of a building made mostly of scrap metal and cardboard, a sign over the top that said "Town Hall" in an assortment of salvaged letters.

Duke looked around and packed his food into his backpack, leaving his trash where it was. He threw on his backpack and started walking toward the ruined tower in the distance he had seen the day before. He could hardly see it because of the permanent cloud cover that hung over the planet these days, it was like a decade long night time and even though his eyes had adjusted to the permanent darkness it was still rather difficult to see things in the distance, even against the permanent layer of snow of the ground. It became even more difficult when it began to snow, which was an almost daily occurrence.
Posting the first IC now, sorry it took so long, we are moving and things are a little hectic here for various reasons so I didn't have a ton of time to write out an IC post. It's not great but it's something and It'll give a little bit of an introduction to the RP and a place for the characters to meet up at.
So sorry for taking a while to post, things are still pretty active over here.

Dan, or rather Abasi, was pulled out of his examination of his own hands and arms by a Master clearing his throat and motioning to Abasi to take his robes and he scratched his head in embarrassment. "My apologies," he said and approached the Master, taking his robes and equipment from the man. He met eyes with a man standing in the back of the room, his arms crossed and a disgusted look on his face as Abasi pulled the robe over his head and wrapped the Shemagh carefully around his head. Dan had never worn a Shemagh before but for Abasi it was common and he could do it without thinking about it.

Abasi leaned in close to the Master and whispered, "Who is that man there, and why is he glaring at me?"

The Master chuckled. "I thought you knew, that is Dakarai. He does not think you should be here because you were not born into the Order. Watch out for him, he has been assigned to accompany you as your teacher and he will most likely be harsh."

Abasi grunted and looked back at Dakarai who said nothing and simply glared until Abasi rejoined the group.

"Sir, you said to alert you if any other changes occurred and I've noticed some." One of the technicians said.

"What is it?"

"More memories are bleeding through, mostly personal memories but this Dan kid seems to have adopted his ancestor's muscle memory when it comes to wrapping a--" He looked at the screen, unable to recall the garment's name, "A shemagh."

David grunted and looked at the sleeping subjects and tapped his foot nervously. "Keep going, if anything else happens, page me. I need to make a call." He said before rushing off to the elevator and then into his office on the 100th floor. This was more complicated than he thought, corporate should know about it.
Sorry for not posting anything yet, things were out of my control but I'll write the IC and post it tomorrow.
Sorry for not being online the past couple of days guys, it was out of my control. I might not be back on for the next few days but I will try and be online to make some posts as often as I can.
Jean laughed and smiled. "I would love to have an alien for a pet, but unfortunately I think Crystal is right," Jean said and looked at her, "If the thing is hungry, not curious, then if we get too close it might try and kill us. Sure we have guns but according to the colonists' report even the quickest SHELL is too slow for one of them. It would kill at least one of us before we could kill it." Jean saw the head peek over the dune again and paused. "I saw it again, if you guys are interested we could head over there and check it out. Could be fun."
All right, I may not be able to be online very much in the next few days but I'll be trying to get up some posts, sorry I was gone for about three days but I couldn't help it.

The one I posted was pretty long but I wanted to try and make up for my lack of activity the last few days.
"Well, you're in luck because, instead of payment, you will be given one of theses, shipped to your address, one week before official release." David said, looking at Melody and grinning at the testers, this one seemed more genuine than the last. One of the testers had pointed out that his smile was "creepy" and he regained control immediately after, his smiles becoming genuine and kind. "You will be free to do whatever you like with your consoles when they arrive, even release screenshots and post video reviews. You cannot do any of this right now, of course, since we are still only alpha testing."

Before anyone could express their excitement at the revelation that they would be given their own consoles free of charge in a few months David nodded at the technicians at their monitors now that all of the testers were seated and they began typing furiously.

Before the information could even sink in the buzzing sound in Dan's ears grew louder and his vision blurred before everything went black and silent and he appeared in the same white room he had seen in the demo, but this time the others were inside with him, the worlds "WELCOME TO THE ANIMUS" scrawled on the wall in hieroglyphs. Dan wasn't sure how he could read it but he knew what it said and that amazed him. Suddenly the walls melted away and he, along with the others were standing in the room they had seen at the end of the demo, the Mentor sitting on his mountain of pillows, the Masters waiting patiently for he and the others to take their robes and equipment from them.

Dan held up a hand in front of his face, though his body was still he saw a hand before his eyes and it wasn't his. The skin was darker and the fingers weren't as slender as his own but he could still feel the world through this hand. The air was warm and a light breeze blew through the room. It smelled of spices and sand. "This is amazing," He said in Egyptian, the voice wasn't his own either.

Outside the game in the real world the technicians were talking furiously and David was growing impatient. "What's going on?" he demanded and one of the technicians looked at him.

"Well, sir, it isn't good." The technician said and ran a hand through his thinning hair. "We have a protocol breach, memories are bleeding through. Instead of translating everything like the software is supposed to it seems that the ancestors' memories are getting through and they can read and speak Egyptian."

"Which one?"

"All of them sir..."

David stood there and looked at the people, seemingly asleep in their chairs and crossed his arms. "Keep going, let me know if the bleeding effect gets any worse. We can't afford to pull the project this early."
