If there was one thing about Luna, she was always drawn to the night in one way or another. Her mother birthed her under the light of a full moon after a long labor, birthing a daughter of white hair. She was raised for the first thirty years of her life by her mother, then was sent to the village priestess to undertake apprenticeship as a Neophyte to the Goddess of the Nature. Her life involved three decades of studying and perfecting her knowledge in magic theory before taking the Trial of Vision, where she would be sent with a single guard into the wilderness, not to return until she had her first vision, a sign the Goddess of Nature had indeed claimed her and to what end.
So it came to pass that Luna had reached sixty years of age and was sent on her trial. During their time in the wilderness she awoke from a dream, the cry of a dying creature awakening her. The small bird had fallen from its nest and managed to injure itself. Her powers chose to manifest at that moment, healing the bird. Though she had no vision her powers manifested, signalling the completion of the rite.
For the next five decades she underwent both magical and physical training, poising herself to become a Battle Cleric of the Nature Goddess. Fate seemed to have other plans for her however. Her village was raided while the warriors were away resolving a territorial dispute. While all Talians are trained in combat, they were no match for the skills and cunning of bandits that were for all purposes professional mercenaries and infiltrators if the job interested them.
Luna was taken during the raid, but she unlike the other trainee warriors had an ace up her sleeve. She bargained, agreeing to serve the bandits in exchange for letting the rest of the warriors go. The bargain was presented to the bandit leader who agreed and let the warriors, stripped of their belongings go. Despite not enjoying her time among the bandits she bided her time, poisoning the bandits with various plant life. This was only after four years in earning their trust.
Happy for her freedom, but not happy with the prospect of losing say over her life she decided to head to the nearest human settlement and provide services in healing to those who could not afford it. That is until she heard of the wicked necromancer being freed. She once more decided to pick up her blade and serve the cause of good and put down the man who had caused so much trouble and violation of nature's order by raising the dead.
