Bayen kept his gaze when the blade was put to his neck, as though to convey his words were sincere. While if the conversation had continued he'd have appologised to her about mentioning it, he was merely surprised that she had been that person of whom certain rumors had been about. He didn't really pay any attention to court since he figured the best acting came from that and would sculpt his mind to the setting that their life presented.
Having been one that was eccentric of his own device, he hardly wanted a different style thrown into the mix of his game filled mind. However Bayen was ecstatic about the thought adaptation, which he found to be situational. Between bending to a will or trap of a person, and the rational need to comply. After all the human body is made of water, and water that does not move or change is stale and unuseful.
At his mistake he hurriedly bowed to Raven "Lady Silverlight, indeed forgive me of my manors. I relaxed since I had left the court and had been intended to be teloported into my personal forge." He requited his words with a direct look. He intended to make this nipped in the bud, not because he had too, but because he wanted too. He rationalized that this person cultivated the straight forward attitued, not unable to play in the word games of court. Simply that she preferred to not mince words with those that she hated and those that hated her, at least the probability was floating around in his head someplace while he nodded his head.
He was thinking about plot progression and what ever skills he might learn from the encounter, he was as uninterested of the silver tongue skill as he was living with out his sword arm.
His face paled at the thought of Grimilkin, just for a moment, long enough for him to despise the moment. With Ravens promise sung true Bayen looked at her a bit differently. In his thoughts he considered her to be slightly better than he imagined previously, in consideration only and to be evaluated in the upcoming moments. "He is not quite my master, he only had my middle name as does the Queen. For now I'm calling you Katie, sorry if you don't like the name, but do not tell anyone your name I stress that. Just as The lady here has bound herself to you by word- she has no chance to betray you for the time being." he instructed Jessalyn hoping that she could process any new information. The reason he shut his mouth being that that damn Cheshire cat had been approching with another child hard pressed for luck at this point. Well he acted like a type that would devour your soul and hand it back to you as an offenceive gesture. Not that Bayen knew if he could manage it.
