Current Been a while, but I'm back. Just moved and no social life in the new place yet so I'll probably be around a lot.

My cat has been found guilty of laptopicide, using my very own jar of ice water as a murder weapon. I'll be back as soon as I can. At most, I'm looking at about a month with no personal computer.

I am working on a character, but I was kind of hoping to see what other folks came up with first. It's been quite a while since I was last active on the site so my writing skills are a little rusty and I don't know the setting well so I thought I might wait to finish until I had an example or two.
Will be keeping an eye on this.
I've been playing D&D 5e for a while now but was recently forced to move away from my local group. Never done a PBP before but seeing as I don't have a group in my area yet it might be a good idea for me to learn. I have done PBP roleplaying in general, just not strictly for D&D or any other system. If you don't mind that, I'd be interested in playing with you as a chance to expand my horizons. I can start writing up a character for your consideration but before I get too far I want to ask; what kind of setting do you have in mind, if any?
Sorry guys, my girlfriend is in town so I've had more important things to do than post. I'll try to remember to get something up in the morning after work.
Alive. Finally got a post up TTvTT, sorry i left you hanging there for so long @FateWeaver. I'm finally settled into uni. Huzzah \(^.^)/

Quite alright, and glad to see you back!
The longer I spend on a post the more it feels like Morgan is writing for himself.

Anyway.

Still processing that one but I don't think I'm going to add/change any more unless I spot an error.

Kiara finished Morgan's thought for him, and he smiled. Perhaps it really was that simple. He had agonized about the why when it should have been about the want. Another lesson from the Fae to be taken into consideration. Thinking on that and watching Kiara as she looked around the clearing lead him to wonder what he had been expecting. That didn't last, however, as it was very clear what she wanted when she turned back to him. Part of him was still hesitant and apprehensive, but the rest of Morgan was very intrigued by the idea of Kiara all to himself and in his sanctuary.

As she wrapped her arms around him, his own circled around her waist as though they were meant to be there. Heat rushed to Morgan's cheeks as Kiara brushed a lock of hair out of his eyes. With her gaze locked on his, he felt rooted to the spot. Where else would I want to be? Finally her lips parted, but this time only to ask a simple question, one loaded with meaning. Caught between anxiety and desire, the Warlock found himself incapable of speech. He made a couple of false starts before giving up on that route.

Actions speak louder than words right?

Before he had fully processed the thought, Morgan pulled Kiara against himself and lowered his lips to hers.

You people are hilarious. I wish I had more time to hang around here.

Kiara's sensual purr caused a surge of emotion in Morgan, but he maintained a cool detachment from his feelings for the moment. He tried anyway. He wasn't able to keep from increasing the pace as he led her by the hand deeper into the trees. Following his own mental map, he picked a path around the main body of the lake that would lead to the river. As they walked, the Warlock reflected on the Faerie's most recent outbursts. He had yet to feel the full brunt of her hostility and, to a degree, he felt sorry for those who had. Most of them deserved it though. As the sound of flowing water became clear from ahead, Morgan shook off the distracting thoughts.

This time he kept to the bank of the river, as walking against the natural flow would only hinder them. In a few places the bank was overgrown and the Warlock used his magic to let them use the water as a path around the blockage. Before too long, the flora around them grew to be more lush than the surrounding woodland and the local fauna seemed more active. Morgan could feel the saturation of his own power in the air, the ground, and mostly the water as they approached the clearing and his sanctuary. Stepping around the trunk of an ancient evergreen revealed his altar, the painting, and the pile of stones. Sounds from outside the circle of trees were muffled within, with the exception of the swiftly flowing river.

"I come from a family of traditionalists, I guess," Morgan explained as he led Kiara to the center of the clearing. "This is my sanctuary. I come here to meditate and practice every morning. If you can't find me at the library or lake, I'm probably here. Normally, I wouldn't dream of showing anyone this place. But..." After a few moments he shrugged, unable to verbalize a decent reason. In truth he knew not what had led to the decision to bring Kiara here, but all the same he had wanted to and it was done.

Crap, forgot I meant to post yesterday. This whole having friends thing is getting in my way again. They've learned my schedule and now nothing is sacred.

Anyway, off I go to write. Shouldn't take me long, been thinking about this one for a bit now.
