A former champion boxer in high school, Caleb is now enrolled in the business program at BCC and a pledge of the frat Pi Phi Gamma. Caleb, while intelligent, does not spend as much time focusing on his studies as he could figuring a degree with C's is just as financially viable as one with A's and B's. Caleb has learned that the only people who can get there way in life are the ones strong enough to force their way forward and have cash to spend.

Caleb is currently living out his old, beat up Volkswagen Bus he fixed up back in high school. He takes keeps that information on the down low as he perceives that it would hurt his chances on getting into his frat of choice. In order to afford tuition and incidentals, Caleb is currently working as a physical trainer at the BCC gym.

Caleb uses the force of his personality to brute force past problems. He is used to getting his way not because someone gave it to him, but because he kept pushing at it. Because of this, he casually dismisses those he considers not strong enough to stand up for themselves.

Relationships:

{NPC} Daria Mueller: What was going to be a mutual one night stand has turned into an ongoing nightmare. Caleb and Daria were hooking up in the back of her car when the car suddenly burst into flames. Caleb was able to get out of the vehicle with minimal injuries, but Daria was caught in the initial burst of flame and suffered severe burn injuries. Caleb having recently discovered his new abilities believes that the source of the flames must have been himself. Out of a sense of guilt and obligation, Caleb has been visiting her every day healing a bit of her injuries at a time, fearing the pain of healing the wound all at once.

{NPC} Ezra Walker: Ezra was a hard man who only grew worse when Fiona left. At his best, he stayed out of Caleb's affairs, but otherwise it was a constant stream on criticism. The only way Caleb could find to deal with it was to get right back in his father's face.

{NPC} Fiona Rodgers: Mother who left the Walker household when Caleb was around four years old. She has sent Caleb an increasingly large amount of letters to his PO box of late that Caleb has ignored.

{NPC} Coach Marvin Jackson: Quite possibly the only person that Caleb has true respect for. Coach Jackson has trained Caleb since he was young and in a sense was more of a father to him than his actual father. Coach Jackson was the one driving Caleb to his matches. The Volkswagen also came from his Coach and showed Caleb how to fix it up. Since Caleb got banned, the relationship has been awkward and strained.

{NPC} Jack Simons: Caleb's "Big" in Pi Phi Gamma. Jack is very focused on the networking aspect of fraternal life and is encouraging Caleb to do the same. 

History

Caleb grew up right here in Briarwood, but not in what could be considered a peaceful household. Neither of his parents were close to well-off and their living situation reflected that. The environment he grew up in was quite toxic, and his mother left for greener pastures when he was about four years old. Growing up was rough, and Caleb was becoming quite the school ground bully before Coach Jackson brought him into boxing. Here he excelled and had the opportunity to channel his anger into action appropriately. 

The years passed quickly, and Caleb began winning match after match using his Knack to help him get into his opponent's heads and off balance them. Things at home were always rough, his father critiqued every choice that Caleb made and constantly reminded him he was worth nothing. Luckily, he spent most of his time out of the house training with Coach Jackson. Once Caleb really started to look like he may have a real career in boxing in when his father started getting an interest. He began attempting to market Caleb trying to mine him for some profit. 

Caleb furiously argued with father time after time, but the last straw was when he found out that his father had fired Coach Jackson. Caleb, in an act of ill thought out rebellion, started getting into brawls with people on the street and was eventually caught and arrested. The incident led him to being banned from any further competitive boxing and the end of boxing career. His father quickly kicked him out and Caleb was happy to leave and satisfied. Through hard work, Caleb was able to graduate and enroll in BCC where he has been fending for himself since.

Magic:

Knack: One of the reasons Caleb was so successful in his boxing tournaments was that he has an excellent intuition of what makes people tick. Put another way, after a period of observation, Caleb is able to accurately hone in on one of a person's character flaws without ever saying a word. Against his opponents, Caleb used this to get under their skin and make them angry during a match, taking advantage of their anger to pull-out a win. It is a Knack that has made him quite a few enemies.

Gift: Caleb has the gift of healing. Simply by touching someone who is suffering an injury or a disease of some kind and focusing, Caleb heals them of what ails them. This gift has several critical downsides however. To heal a wound, Caleb is forced to experience the pain of that injury. For instance, if healing a broken arm, Caleb will feel his own arm break experience the throbbing ache for several hours afterward. In the case of an illness, Caleb experiences the symptoms of the illness and a far faster and intense rate. The longer an injury has lasted the more intense Caleb will feel the pain of healing it. Finally, Caleb cannot use his healing abilities on himself. Caleb is trying to gain control of it and decrease its downsides, seeing massive financial profit from it.

Erik Fieldson

After checking the noticeboard on his jog and returning to his room. Erik composed his email to Principal Hawthorne with a lot of care and attention to detail. The position of one of the prefects here would lend him quite a bit of authority. In addition, it seemed like it would be the perfect place to make connections with some of the more powerful students at the Academy. Both of these options appealed to him immensely so he had decided to inquire about what the requirements of the position were and the application process. Erik was not sure if they would allow freshman students to join their ranks, but he felt he stood out enough to warrant an exception to the rule, if needed.

His phone dinged with a notification of a new message. Erik glanced down and read Angelica's message quickly. He sent the email he had been crafting off before replying. Yes! How about meeting up today at the cafe from our first day! I am not sure about you, but I can use some caffeine." He followed up with a group message to the rest of the group informing them of the location he had in mind for the meeting. He got dressed, grabbed his workbooks and laptop and headed out to meet the group. Upon arriving at the cafe, he moved several of the smaller tables together to form a makeshift work area for the group. He also did not delay in ordering their excellent hot chocolate.
