Athena only offered him a smile. She was honestly heart broken but all she could do now is be there for him. "We have been married for 2 years," she replied. It wasn't long in her opinion, but they spent a lot of time as a couple. She remembered how many times she had turned him down. He was too daring, too extreme to the extent of his personality and his job yet he kept on coming back to her. Startingthe car up she made the drive home.
Athena had spoke briefly to his doctor, she was told that it seemed severe and she would have to keep an eye on him and bring him back in when he showed signs of struggle with daily activities. She was told a nurse would bring him over to her so she was surprised to see him walking alone. "Jack? Why are you alone?" she asked him with a frown. He was able to walk now which was a good sign. Sighing softly she looked him in the eye, "My name is Athena, we'll be heading back home now. Where we live," she said softly before gently reaching for his hand and guiding him towards the car park. "You work as a fire fighter Jack, spoke to your superior says you'll be off call for a bit, at least until the doctor gives you the okay to work again." She said before she unlocked her car and opened for the door for him. She wasn't used to this side that he was showing her, he seemed so passive and quiet.
Athena waited outside, she was off her shift and the other nurses told her to head home, but she knew she couldn't do that. She had to wait for the doctor to proper diagnose Jack. Waiting outside she sighed softly, she was dressed in her normal clothes and it was obvious that she was beyond exhausted from working long hours. She had hoped though that Jack's amnesia wasn't too serious and that with some rest and cognitive therapy his memories would return. Sighing softly she felt horrible, he couldn't even remember her face or voice. It was likely he couldn't recall anything. She had spoken to the nurses about the rest of Jack's men, one needed surgery but the others were alright. "Why the hell did I marry a firefighter?" She whispered softly to herself. She loved the man more than life, but there were times that she worried herself to death.Today was no different.
Kali quickly took out her spider legs and handed it over. With the money she got she then purchased a room. The inn keeper gave her a set of keys thanking them for their patronage. Placing the key into her inventory she nodded to him. "Keep the silk, I think I can use it to whip up something it'll help me level up my sewing too. Eventually the stuff I make if we can't use we can sell." She said knowing that was one way to make easy money. They would get more compared to just selling the silk alone. She ordered herself some beer though she was greatly disappointed when there was no taste. At least it was cold and refreshing, something that she was most grateful for considering how they had been out all day.

"Alright, let's go that tomorrow. We'll leave early in the morning, I think I'm going to go full healer. Figured that it would help you more, besides me going damage will only be if I'm alone. As long as you don't decide to ditch me, me spending all my mastery points for heals shouldn't be a problem." She figured that eventually they would join a guild so her being a full healer would be useful in dungeons and large raids.
Athena wasn't sure on how to reply him. She couldn't treat him either. "Yeah... your name is Jack. I suppose I am important, I'm your wife Jack." She mumbled before sighing. He wasn't really acting much like himself, but it couldn't be helped at all. The nurse returned with a wheelchair for Jack. "We are ready to do the MRI, if you'll come with me," she mentioned as Athena took a step back. "You'll be taken care of, I'll come see you after it's done." She knew that he would be referred to a proper doctor to determine if he had amnesia. It really seemed like the case though. "You'll be alright," she whispered before she planted a soft kiss on his kiss. Since there weren't any serious physical injuries she assumed he would be discharged. Unless he showed signs of having a stroke. Sighing softly she watched the nurse wheel him away as she sat down feeling sick.
Athena blinked with surprise, she pulled back quick and stared at him wondering if he was joking. Not once had he ever called her miss, even when they first met he threw around nicknames for her obviously trying to be casual with her yet here was seriously referring her to as a miss."Jack... come on that's not funny," she whispered softly though he didn't let up, there was no smile or laugh.

"I need a MRI scan now," she ordered the nurse, who nodded immediately. Athena need not ask him any of the questions she usually would, because she was well aware of his body. He had health checkups often and she knew he didn't have a history of drug or alcohol abuse. "Okay Jack, I'm going to ask you a few questions. I need to know what you remember about yourself." He showed signs of confusion and slight personality changes. An MRI would confirm the severity of it as well. She was trying to keep it together but she began to feel emotional about it. What if he never remembered her? Or what if he couldn't take care of himself, he loved being a firefighter so this would affect him. "You'l be given an MRI scan in a moment, but before then I just need to confirm a few things." She explained to him.
Kali blinked not really catching on with what the issue was. "Yeah the same room, it'll be cheaper since they are charging money for it." She was completely fine with sharing a room since there was a period of time where she and her younger brother had to share a room. It was inconvenient since his room had a nasty leak. It was only for a night though so she was sure Alakai could handle it. "It's fine, we shouldn't have too much of a problem unless you try to something." She said before turning her attention back to the inn keeper. "We will take one room then, two beds. Oh yeah I have these spider legs, hairy things. Can we sell them?" she asked him though he laughed. "Of course, any vendor can take those items off you, however do take note that there are some vendors that'll pay more for a item when it can be of use to them. There's also a auction, you can put up items for other players to buy and online market whereby you can put items up for sale for other players to bid or purchase them, especially rare ones." He explained, Kali had pretty much gathered that information when she first started playing but she still thanked him.

Since the spider legs were useless to her she figured it'd be the same price everywhere else. "Hey, want to sell your stuff now?" she asked him. She figured she'd get about maybe 50 gold from it, it would be enough for a room and maybe a few drinks.
Athena was outside the room, however she had recognized the phone's ringtone. Hearing it from the end of the hall she quickly rushed over to where she saw one of the nurses tending to him. His injuries looked minimal which probably explained why he was in the room with Maria. The nurse was working on his leg trying to reduce the intensity of the burns he had received. "What's his status?" she asked the nurse as she glanced over for a brief moment before continuing to treat him. "He's unconscious, he was pulled out from the mess by his partner, he's got a couple of burns," she reported though both of them were surprised to see him wake up. The nurse was surprised by his question and in response she glanced over to Athena.

"Move," she said seriously to the woman as she lowered herself, taking out a flash light she placed it over his eye before repeating the process with the other eye. "Jack, you're in the hospital," she assured him. She had assumed that his question was address to the nurse since he wasn't familiar with her. "You gave me a scare there, really, I'm going to end up dying years before you with the amount of scares you give me," she sighed softly as she placed her hand over his cheek. She wanted to run a few more tests just in case but physically he seemed fine compared his comrades. Without thinking she wrapped her arms around him, burying her face against the crook of his neck, he was unfamiliar with the hospital considering the amount of times he had visited in the past. She could smell the smoke on him along with his sweat, but it was a familiar scent she had of him. In fact their first meeting was in the ER room and from there on she had assumed he made an effort to hurt himself just to visit her much to her displeasure. Still everyone was aware of their relationship so they were used to seeing him come by may it be fore himself or to pick his wife up for dinner.

"Please keep an eye on him, I've given medicine to prevent an infection. Other than that he should be fine," Athena spoke with a soft but tired tone. Mentally she swore if she had another case like this she would cry, was it so hard to keep an eye on your child? She had been at the ER for nearly twenty hours. One more and she would be off for the day, she planned straight on sleeping. A part of her wondered if her husband was home yet, usually their timings were mismatched but both of them understood how hectic it could get when it came to work. There were times where she missed him but he often sent her texts, she didn't want to get started on how frightening it was it with the line of work her husband worked under. Sighing softly she waved the mother who ushered her child out of the room in a hurry. The sun was beginning it's descent, perhaps she could call her husband up and ask if he was home.

"Athena, you're off soon right?" Her friend Santana called out, she was one of the nurses that worked under her, she was friendly even when she was sleep deprived. "Yeah, thank goodness for that. Feet are killing me," she replied. "Well you have the day off! So use it wisely," she said before winking as she nudged her playfully though Athena replied her gesture with a weak smile. She had hoped her husband was home, they could spend some time together perhaps watch a movie or catch dinner. She as incredibly proud of the man considering how he was dedicated. "That man always puts work first, so I guess we'll have to see if I can use tomorrow as I would like to," she muttered. Santana only chuckled as she slapped her hand on her back in hopes of encouraging her friend. "Oh yeah, there's one patient. Room 5, cut himself during some filming process deep gash across the nose, needs stitches" she said before handing her the clipboard.

"Shouldn't Maria be on this?" Athena questioned as she glanced down at the information. "Actually...there was an accident, about two minutes ago we got a call. Emergency case with 4 severely injured." She said though she was obviously trying to avoid explaining the details. "Ah, I see. It's probably best Maria handle this, I'm rather tired," she said knowing that Maria had come in an hour ago so she would be more than capable of case. "Alrighty, I'll go get this handled." Was all she said before she left the room and made her way to the room. Athena hadn't taken long with the task, she however struggled to keep her scowl at bay, why the hell did he ask his friend to throw a damn watermelon at his face whilst he tried to cut it with a kitchen knife. There were so many things wrong with this concept. Film or not there were always idiots who took their safety for granted. "Return in about 8 to 10 days and I'll remove them for you." The man nodded having thanked her profusely before he left to get some of the pain killers she prescribed him. Sighing softly she made her way outside of the room only to pause when she saw three hospital beds passing by her. It hadn't taken her long to recognize her husband's firefighting logo.

Her dark brown eyes widened with shock as she followed them to the room Maria was currently working in. Her chest felt tight and Athena struggled to breath. Was her husband alright? Without thinking she took out her phone and began calling him while staying out of the way of the nurses who were tending to the men. Nurse Santana caught sight of her and gave her an apologetic look for keeping the details out of her report. "Doctor, perhaps you should wait outside?" Maria called out, she was aware of the panic that Athena was going through but having her here wouldn't be much help.
