This still needs some polishing, but I wanted to post this to see how much interest it gets! Loosely based on Vampire Masquerade and The Originals.
Children of the Wanderer
Premise
And the Lord said to Cain, “And so, cursed shall you be by the soil that gaped with its mouth to take your brother's blood from your hand. If you till the soil, it will no longer give you strength. A restless wanderer shall you be on the earth. Therefore whoever kills Cain shall suffer sevenfold vengeance." And the Lord set a mark upon Cain so that whoever found him would not slay him.
In a time before technology and large cities were built, before man found his place in the world, and even before God sent the great flood to rebirth the earth; a different species of man was created unbeknownst to all. It all started with the first death the world had seen, it all start with Cain and Abel. When Cain made the decision to kill his brother out of jealousy God sentenced him to a life of wandering the earth. He would not die like all men did and he could not be killed by anyone that crossed his path. He was marked by not only God but Lucifer as well. Though it is not said in history, when Cain hid from the presence of God, he was then sought after by Satan himself. Lucifer found him in the shadows of the world and put his own mark upon man simply out of spite. Whoever God turned his back on Lucifer always welcomed with open arms. He gave Cain a choice to wander the earth as a normal man as God intended or become a creature of power that ruled the night. In his grief from being turned away from God and killing his own brother, Cain agreed to Lucifer’s offer and was transformed into the essence of darkness, a true creature of death. It was in that moment that the first vampire was born from the shadows.
In the years following his transformation, Cain spent his time figuring out what he was and what he could do. Due to his murderous nature now being even worse he decided to keep his distance from his wife Awan and their new born son. He watched over them from a distance, but did not take part in their lives, which is one of the reasons he named the city he built after his first born son. It was a way to show his love, even though there was little love left in his heart after he descended into darkness. Years later, after his son was grown and old, Cain became lonely in his wandering. He knew the day would come where he would feel the loneliness that was brought along with his curse from God. When that day came, he decided that he would seek out a child that he could raise, something he failed at when it came to his own son. As he roamed searching for the right child to be his own, he found himself becoming greedy and wanting more than one child.
In the end he chose four children to call his, all of which he stole from various families during the dead of night. He left them as mortals for a time and raised them as if they were truly his own children. When the four began to grow into woman and manhood, he became fearful of their deaths, so he did the only thing he could think of, he turned them into creatures like him. However, what he did not know was that when they went through the change, he passed along certain traits to each one. These traits would be forever passed along to any spawn the children created themselves. One child was blessed with speed and strength, one with beauty and charm, another with magic and knowledge, and the last was blessed with a bond with animals, but also cursed with Cain’s own madness.

They are known as the originals, heads of the great bloodlines. Over the centuries their father has mostly become nothing more than myth to those in their bloodlines and he is rarely spoken of by his children for unknown reasons. Some of them get along with each other to a certain extent, but not all of them have a love for one another. One of the children in particular takes more after his father than any of them. He is known these days as Stanis Nox of Clan Captas. He was the child that was cursed with Cain’s true madness and jealousy. Stanis is thought of as beyond crazy and has little to no love for any of his siblings. He is paranoid, sadistic, and utterly murderous. The one and only person he does love is his father/creator, Cain. He idols Cain since Stanis was the first child to be picked as his own before he decided to choose other children as well. He has been trying to bring his father out of hiding for decades, but has failed with each attempt. Stanis’s latest plot has been to kill his siblings and take over the bloodlines just as Cain once did to his brother. He believes it will draw Cain out and make him see he was the strongest son all along and the only one he should have claimed as his.

The World
In this world vampires have their own society of sorts. They are split into certain bloodlines and very rarely do they ever mix those bloodlines. The vampiric world is hidden from the human community, but unbeknownst to them, vampires play a large role in their society. They are basically the masters behind the curtain that are never seen. Higher up vampires are actually in positions of power in the human world, but it is made a secret what they are. However, politics will not be something that is involved in this RP.
It is against vampire law for a vampire to break said secrecy and let the human world know of their existence. This is a rule that is wide spread between all the clans. Revealing their true nature to humans will spark a global war between the species, which could cause many casualties among the race. It could also diminish their food source, which is something no one wants. If a vampire has revealed themselves in any way to a human, that human will need to be turned or destroyed. Those who are caught breaking that law are typically sentenced to death by whatever clan that vampire belongs to.
Vampires have many of the same weakness that are explained in lore. They are vulnerable to sunlight and can be killed by staking them in the heart. Another way to kill them is removing their heads. The Nox family is a little harder to kill than that. They can only be killed by using the blood of their maker. There is said to be a special blade in existence that was made by Cain himself, using his own blood. Myth says he made it in case he felt one of his children could no longer exist. This blade has not been seen for many many centuries and it is said that it is Cain who carries it with him. The other way to kill a Nox child is to use a weapon that has been forged with their own blood. The four Nox siblings are the only vampires on earth who still have the blood of Cain still coursing their veins, which is why a weapon made with said blood could kill them. However, gaining blood from one of the four is not an easy feat. If one of them happens to be killed, their entire clan dies with them.
Vampires can only be turned by a bite and a giving of blood from the sire. The newborn vampire must then feed from a human to complete the turning. If a person is only bitten they get bitten they become very sick, but also borrow a few of the vampires powers for a limited amount of time. After a few days of this they return to their normal human state. If a newborn vampire does not feed after they have been turned, the fledgling will die of thirst within three nights.

Bloodline Original: Sebastian Nox
Bloodline Powers:
Super Vampire Speed: These vampires are the fastest among any of the bloodlines. They can appear in the blink of an eye and disappear just as quickly. This can sometimes make them very hard to fight because they are so quick it is hard to keep up with them.
Fear Implantation: They can implant fear into their enemies. This typically only works if the victim has a weak mind. Their fear will take over them in such a way that they just freeze, giving the Umbra vampire a chance to take their enemies out quickly.
Clan Traits:
Clan Umbra is known as the best and fiercest fighters in the vampire race. War and destruction is in their blood. It is extremely unwise to go toe to toe with one of these vampires, but there are ways to beat them. Vampires of clan Umbra are very hot headed and their rage can often be there greatest weakness. They are very vulnerable in a frenzy and don’t think things through before they act. They are unorganized and can be known to be loners, which means they are not good at working together. A good way to take them out is picking them off one by one. Never take on more than one Umbra at a time or failure will be guaranteed.
They are extremely loyal to their bloodline creator and think of him as the king of all vampires. Following and guarding their maker is the only times they come together on things.
Clan Captas:
Bloodline Original: Stanis Nox
Bloodline Powers:
Madness: Vampires of the Captas clan are known to be able to insert their own madness into their enemies minds. Like all other mind type powers, this only fully works on weak minded people, though even those with strong minds will still feel some of its effects, just not as strongly. When working to its full potential, this power can make someone feel as if they are about to explode from rage. They are unable to form thoughts clearly, they make random attacks, or will burst into uncontrollable mad laugher.
Animalism: Because they are more animalistic in nature, vampires of this clan can communicate and gain dominance over creatures of nature. This means they can summon animals to their aid when needed. Usually when the animals appear they seem deranged and as if they might have rabies. The animal will attack anyone in sight, except for the one controlling it.
Clan Traits: Clan Captas descend into madness the moment they are created. Not one of them is ever the same as they all show different traits of insanity. Some hear voices in their heads, some suffer from extreme paranoia, and others are simply derange sociopaths. They can be thought of as weak fighters, but they are actually masters of deception and gaining information on people. They tend to stick to the shadows and do not like to interact with people, which causes them to watch people more than interact with them. This is why they usually know everything about everyone.
Clan Captas worship their creator, who is the craziest of them all. He is the only one they listen to and will follow any command he gives them.
Clan Venuste:
Bloodline Original: Sapphira Nox
Bloodline Powers:
Seduction: Vampires in clan Venuste can entrance anyone by looking them directly in the eyes. Once they have someone in their eye sight they can pretty much make them do anything they want. It is rather easy for Venuste’s to do this as they are very beautiful and can catch most peoples’ attention just because of that.
Empathy:These vampires can sense and feel the emotions of anyone within 50 feet of them. They can also project their feeling upon people as well. This works best on humans, but also works on other vampires as well.
Clan traits:Venuste’s are the calmest and most beautiful among all vampires. They blend into society extremely well due to their kindness and love for humans. They are very passionate creatures and love things of beauty. This however can often be there downfall since things of beauty are hard to turn their attention away from. They also really enjoy the spotlight and being center of attention. They are not the best fighters, but they certainly go into things with a plan instead of going in blindly. They are excellent manipulators and can usually get what they want after some persuasion. They love fiercely and often pick one mate to stick with for eternity.
Like all of the bloodline creators, Sapphira is worshiped by those in her bloodline. She is their queen and the essence of beauty.
Clan Sanguis
Bloodline Original: Salena Nox
Bloodline Powers:
Blood Magic:Sanguis Clan are vampires of magic. They are the only type of vampire that actually understand and can use magic. They can do many different things when it comes to magic, but some of the key things they do are as follows. Purge; making those around them become violently ill and vomit blood until they die or the Sanguis makes it stop. Blood Strike; can project sharp, blood like knives at enemies. Blood Shield; can form a shield of blood around them to absorb damaging attacks. Blood boil: can cause their enemies blood to boil until they literally explode from the pressure.
Blood magic is hard to learn, making it hard for fledglings to use in their first few years.
Clan Traits: Sanguis vampires are thought of as back stabbers by most other vampires. They aren’t usually true to their word and very rarely speak any form of truth. They are very secretive and aren’t ones to show others their magic, which is why other vampires can’t do the things they can. They are very picky on who they allow into their bloodline. This is why many of them think they are better than others. They can be extremely useful if they are on your side, but be warned that they usually only pick sides to get something that they want. They don’t ever offer their help for free.
Their bloodline creator is very secretive and devious. She thinks of herself more powerful than any of her siblings and that rubs off on most of the vampires she has created.

"Anyone wanna try climbing my luscious blonde locks to get up to the top of the tower?"
Alek stopped in her walk to the cafeteria when she heard a bored sounding voice call out. She recognized the voice fairly well, it was Lauren, one of Ryder’s top bitches as Alek always said. She didn’t personally have any beef when it came to the other woman. They had only interacted a couple of times, but it was easy to tell Lauren wasn’t the nicest person in the world. Though, not many of the people that lived in this camp were the nicest people. The people who had been considered nice in the world were all basically dead, an extinct race that was likely never to return. Nice people were weak and weak people had been the first ones to die when the shit hit the fan. Still, Alek didn’t exactly hate Lauren but being as she was so close to Ryder, she had decided a while back that it was best to not try to befriend the woman. She’d thought about replying to the joking question Lauren had thrown out to no one in particular, but before she could say anything a shiver of irritation hit her at the sight of seeing Ryder come.
Alek turned quickly before he could lock eyes with her. She only made eye contact with Ryder when he was up close and personal. If she didn’t then he would think he had complete power over her, which in her mind he did not. He may have had some little portion of power over her because she lived in his compound, but that was as far as his power went. Truth be told she was actually looking for some way to escape this place. Of course she didn’t dare tell that to anyone, but it was true. During the few times she went out on raids she was always on the search for somewhere else to go. She’d thought about setting out and just finding a small quite place out in the country for her to live by herself, but she had yet to make that step. Going out by yourself was a hard thing to do, even if you did despise the place you were in and the people who ran it.
Alek listened for the two speak back and forth for a while, forgetting the fact she was going to get breakfast. She had walked over to a nearby post, where she couldn’t be seen, continuing to listen to them and smoke her joint at the same time. She always found it funny when Ryder was disappointed in someone. The person he was disappointed in always had this sound in their voice when they responded to him. This desperate need to please him type of tone. It made her laugh to herself a little. She would never sound like that, no matter what she did to disappoint the asshole. She would rather die than say sorry to him.
"I'm sorry, sir. I failed to report it in." Lauren said to Ryder in that same voice Alek always found amusing.
“What a suck up…” Alek said to herself quickly, laughing under her breath.
@Default hey, i noticed Aaron has kinda been by himself. maybe after Lauren's shift they can bump into each other? up to you, of course. I think Ryder is about to interact with Lauren on her shift but I think we ought to get a bit of interaction in as well since Natalia is out.
