Hi, folks. Evil Snowman here. I'm dusting off this old thread as I'm in need of a couple 1 x 1 RPs again. To fill the gap between other things. Now I don't normally this sort of thing. So forgive me it this is a little chaotic or dull to read. 

Firstly, I don't do Grammar Nazi's. I know my Grammar is far from perfect, I really don't need it pointed out every time I post. Being said I don't mind constructive criticism every once in a while. Still, to be reassuring I always try to keep my post readable and if I fail to do that somehow. By all means, tell me and I'll try my best to work out the issue. 

Next, I prefer PMs, over threads.

If you're into Romance that's fine. However, I automatically apply to every 1x1 I do. So it'd be good to mention you'd like it. However unless it a Romance plot I don't like it being in every single part of the RP, more like a continuous sub-plot progressing alongside the RP. Also that whole love at first sight stuff ... no, unless you got a damn good argument supporting it. Also, Romance is also MxF. Sorry if that a pain in the ass. 

Related somewhat to the point about, is smut. I'm cool with it, happy to write entire scenes of what happens of those most tender of moments. However, if that's not for you that's fine. A tasteful fade to black and leaving up to the imagination is always good.

Right, at the moment I'm looking for something long term and people who will commit. As in post regularly (see below) and not leave all the plot to me. If there is an issue talk to me and we'll try to work something out. After all, communication is key to a happy healthy RP.

Reply's, depending on how many RP's I get plus how active my groups RPs are, the length of reply ETC, ETC. I can get reply out within a week most times within a couple of days if your luckly it be with few hours. If a week pass and not posted tends mean that I'm busy or too tried to post. Nine times out of of ten I'll tell you if the the case ... unless I forget. If I do, feel free to poke with a stick until you get a rise out of me. I would like the same of you. 

For the Last point. Is the reply itself, I tend to vary on how much I can give. It can anything from a single tiny paragraph, from a mini wall of text. Depending on the scene, motivation and how much you've given me to work with. Normally I aim for around two or three decent sized paragraphs. It would be nice if you could match that. However, if you can't so long as it fit in the causal standards of this site. That's fine.

An ex-government detective is offered a case by his former boss. To track down a group of terrorist called the sleeping 6. The group proving hard to track. The detective owing his ex-boss a favor takes the case, which leads into the depths of a tangled web of lies and secrets and shady businesses practices and a plot to ... (I dunno overthrow the government or something. This parts open for debate.)

Title: On the Dragons Wing 
Paring: Dragon X Dragon Rider
Setting: Negotiable (By default Modern)
Romance: If asked

Dragons. A creature many think to be a myth, an object of fantasy. Unaware, that dragons are very much real and once in a long forgotten part of history some human rode upon them. Bound by an oath of blood, tapping into a portion of their dragon partners power. Driven to near extinction by human wars, causing the dragons to go into hiding. 

This story starts in the home of a person by some circumstance comes into the possession of a dragon egg. Blissfully unaware, what they have obtained. The egg hatches and the human for whatever reason decided to raise the fledgling dragon. Once the dragon has grow. The humans home get attacked by another dragon. Excited to see another one of it own kind the Dragon decides to try a chase after other ... from this point, the plot could become an adventurer of dragons planning to return to the known world or something else.
Again it can be discussed.

There others ways the story could go I'm sure. I just not thought of them

Setting: Sci-if (Mars by default but any world that somewhat rugged.)

Far into the future mankind as touched the stars. Claiming many of them. This story takes place on one such world. An Ex-military pilot, looking for a job outside of the military, lands a job at a small research outpost as a guard of and general assistant when not of guard duty. The world having an issue with local pirates trying to raid the facility. Coming to the facility the pilot settles into to their new life ... not really sure where it go from here. Remember doing this once before where the outpost found some alien artifact that caused an attack on the outpost.

Setting: Completely open
Romance: Preferred but not required

The realms of Demons and Angles locked in a bitter war, nearly for as long s they head existed. Both sides battling it out to wipe the other out but never succeeding. Leaving the human realm in the middle, but somewhat mostly unaware demons and angles exist. Both side developing magic and skills to kill each other in the human realm without drawing too much attention. However after so long at war both demon and angels look towards peace. Negotiating a treaty, the demon King promises to hand over his 7th child to the Angel King to be married to one of his children to finalize the treaty. The 7th child learns of this and flees into the human realm, refusing to marry some angel. Although coming to the human realm involves a lot of risk. demons requiring special items or to be bound to human to survival the human realm. The 7th child goes into hiding posing as a human, for several years. Despite numerous efforts by the angels and demons to find the 7th child. 

Until one fateful day, the 7th child runs into a human who somehow discovers who and what the 7th child is. During this encounter, the human breaks the demons special item. Thus forcing the demon to make a contract to survive. From here the RP can go about the human getting flung into demons mess. Either trying to help or trying to work out a way out. While the demon is made think if running from the marriage was the right thing to do.

Two kingdoms locked in a war for so long both side have forgotten what sparked the conflict. Both sides taking heavy losses as entire towns are burnt to the ground. As the war rages on a third neighboring kingdom began to amass troops along the borders of the warring kingdoms.

Worried how this third kingdom is positioning is soldiers the warring kingdom being talking and eventually brokering a peace treaty. However worried how the people and the third kingdom might react to the sudden peace. Thought rulers of two now peaceful kingdoms came up with a plan to hide the reason why they reached peace. 
The plan was to marry a prince and princess of each respective kingdom. Claiming that the prince and princess were in love and that the two had gone to great efforts to convince the rulers of the two kingdoms to enter into peace talks. The two having to maintain the deception of them being in love while the kingdoms rebuild themselves and work out what the third kingdom is up to. 

This story will about the married prince and princess, as they try to maintain the deception. Can they do it or will the truth be reviled or will the deception become truth.

Title: The Alchemist and the Fox (title will be adjusted as needed to pairing)
Pairing: Alchemist X Kitsune (Can be another form of mythical creature.) 
Setting: Fantasy  
Romance: Very much preferred

So before I explain the plot of this pairing I need to explain Alchemy of this world works.
Right, so Alchemy is based this story is based the on Atelier series games for PlayStation. So if you played one of them I'd say you have at least basic understanding of how it works. I'll keep this fairly short. If anyone interested as question or wants a more detailed explanation I can provide one on request.

So. In short, Alchemy can be used to make anything. From boots and clothes to food and weapon and even living creatures. All one needs is the correct ingredients/materials, time and mana and the recipe, be it taught or worked out via trial and error.   
How this is done. Is by using the right ingredients/materials. Which vary on what is being made. It also takes time, smaller or simple items taking as little as 30 minutes to large or complex items taking hours or even days to make. All Alchemy is done with a cauldron. The size of the cauldron being what dictates how large the items can be made. (Whatever being made can be larger than the cauldron being used.)

For an alchemist to make anything they need mana. Like how a mage uses mana to make spells Alchemist use mana to make their items. However unlike mages Alchemist use mana without being aware of it. Unless taught this fact most Alchemist will never be aware of this. Thinking the process of making items is just an exhausting process. That won't work if overly tired. 

The most common thing Alchemist make are powerful potions with various effects. Some healing wounds to some allowing them to breathe fire or turn their skin into stone to name a few. Powerful as those positions are some had draw back. Like the potion to breath fire will burn the users mouth. If not protected beforehand. For one basic example.

So that is Alchemy in this story in a nutshell as I side questions want a more detailed explanation. You only have to ask. Put please only do so if you're interested in the story.

So now on to the idea itself Forgive me it is a little jumbled it an old idea, worked out between myself and an old RP parter. Details can be altered depending on pairing genders so please don't see everything as set in stone.
The land of Galendra a land home to the kingdom Jaowyn. A place filled with both mages and alchemists. A peaceful and prosperous land. Where mythical and magical creature lived alongside humans provided they took a humanoid form. Until one day a plague started to slowly spread across the land. A plague that slowly killed two-thirds of those it infected. A sickness that only affected humans leaving everything else untouched. Everything done was to try and cure the plague but only slowed it down. Cities tried to protect themselves yet it still spread. 

As the plague spread the King of Jaowyn locked himself away in his castle. In an effort to protect himself and his family. He ordered nearly all the servants and guards out of the castle. Munis his mage and alchemist who worked to try and cure the plague. However, the king wife became infected and died. Despite the mage and alchemist best efforts to cure them. The King stricken by grief by his the death of his wife blamed his alchemist. Thinking he had brought the plague into his castle. He had the alchemist executed and from there outlawed the craft across his land. Demanding all Alchemist be put to death. His grief riddled mind sure they had spread this plague if they all killed surely it might be lifted. 

The king sent his armies to purge his land of all alchemist workshops and schools and to kill anyone who practised the craft. Many alchemists died during these purges. Although some managed to escape and survive some fleeing the land some going into hiding. Refusing to leave their homeland so started practising their craft in secrecy. To ensure all his realm would fear alchemists the King had his soldiers spread his beliefs.  
    
This story takes place as such events starting off in a small village. Where a master Alchemist and her child arrived into the small village on the edge of the kingdom. This village small and isolated, often overlooked by kings troops. However, this village was infected with the plague. The master alchemist asking the village leader she and her son could live in the village. In exchange, the alchemist would cure plague in the village. Having been studying the plague she had worked out how to cure it. Being up front about how she'd cure it. The village leader agreed to this and provided the master alchemist what she needed to make the cure. Two day after the master alchemist made her cure and from that day on her and her child were welcome in the village. Hailed as local hero's. The master alchemist and her child built a house where she could practise her craft and to teach her child without being found in case someone came to search the village.  

It was not long after the master alchemist and her child started living in the village did the child meet a kitsune (or whatever it might be changed to) also living in the village. Over time two became friends and as they grew older they grew even closer. Falling deeply in love in the end. Unaware a recent vistor to the village was an agent for the king. Who was now seeking a new queen wanting someone who could not get the plague so he didn't have to relive the death of his wife.

In the eve of the kitsune's 17th birthday the king soldiers to the village and took the kitsune. The agent having reported to of found the one the king had been looking for. During the raid, the master alchemist child was cut down a soldier. Although saved by their mother it appeared the master alchemist child had died.

The is Kitsune brought before the king where for the next 4 years they are forced to be his wife. Until they escape. Where during such time they run into the master alchemist child, who now wonders the world. 

At this point, its story is about the pair being reunited. What happens between them do they continue to love each other or as the time apart made them change too much? Do they both try to hide from the king or maybe seek revenge on the king? Or master alchemist child try to cure the plague? I've got no set ending worked out for this at this time. So it would need to worked out.
