Personality - Katsuro is not only lazy, he’s innovative and lazy. Born to a clan known for creating jutsu after jutsu, he was never one to enjoy the usual boring stuff taught at the academy. He had to do everything the hard way because he couldn’t be bothered to learn it the way everyone else did. He is prone to throwing plans together on a whim and acting out of reflex rather than rationality.
He fights in a style he likes to call adaptive and others like to call dangerous. He will occasionally make the first move but prefers to get hit at least once to judge his opponents abilities- a technique most do without getting hit but he insists that it is the best way to go about it. He then reacts by countering whatever was thrown his or his clones’ way.
After developing wood release, he has spent time actually studying scrolls and records that detail the techniques of the first hokage, though he refuses to do them as written. There’s always a twist.

Background - A Senju founded Konoha with a great kekkei genkai known as Wood Release, a rare ability that could grow forests, contain tailed beasts, and suppress chakra. For a time, there was only one known user of the rare special ability and only recently has a second user come about. A boy named Katsuro was born and raised with no knowledge that he would be in possession of this amazing ability until he had already passed his chuunin exam and was off to start chakra nature training. He was not known as the class clown, the ace student, the top rookie, or well... anything other than a slacker. He wasn’t a genius, he was just always looking for a quicker way to do whatever it was he was assigned. This lead to him getting poor grades met with notes on strange attempts at made-up techniques. He was a fan of the other Senju Hokage’s ambition to make jutsu after jutsu but... only a few worked. Water and earth release were the only ones to actual produce a result but none were ever really impressive. They either used way too much chakra or fizzled out due to a lack of concentration.

 The first step to his journey to be a jounin was to determine his chakra nature with Chakra Induction Paper. As his hands touched the paper and chakra channeled from both his hands into it, it wilted to show he was water aligned. His excitement soared through the roof as it appeared he shared a chakra nature with the second hokage but suddenly the paper hardened, falling to pieces in his hand. It either meant mud release or it meant wood release and half the village was abuzz with this discovery, either with excitement or disappointment. Katsuro was not exactly known as a prodigal ninja.

He quickly set to work, reading stories of his great grandfather’s techniques and tried jutsu after jutsu until one day he was found in a field at the base of a twisting and chaotic tree that was wider than it was tall, passed out and panting. This was the start of Katsuro’s slow mastery of wood release. He could make one tree, but would also pass out. Amazing. He has since learned a few techniques, but overall he is not the greatest user of a wood release due to nobody but a dead hokage having ever used it before. He can make whole tree without passing out now, but he has a long while before he makes a forest. 



Equipment - Kunai, a jug of water for jutsu, shuriken, and a sleeping bag that folds into a satchel to carry all of his things
Clothing - Generally something light, an undershirt worn under a jacket with sweatpants that aren't too baggy but still comfortable. 
Personal Items - A pillow wrapped in wood to compress it. Very soft.

Effect - Wood grows from the user, forming what looks like a copy of them. It has the ability to use chakra and can take many hits before breaking. These clones are short lived, generally growing branches that eventually render them immobile but before that happens can hit opponents from unpredictable angles.

Effect - The arm or arms of the user turn to wood and can be used for a variety of techniques, be it wrapping around a target, trying to pierce them, or even acting as elongated limbs. The tree limb can grow branches as well as banding to chase after targets.

Effect - The user produce a set of two wooden pillars, which are engraved with what resemble foo dog faces and immediately go after whatever is in front of them first. The wooden statues rush towards the target and absorb its chakra but only by a slight amount.

Effect - The user manipulates water to target an enemy in a drill-like motion. This technique is especially useful when battling on water, able to attack from any direction of the enemy.

Effect - Water gathers in the palm of the user, and as they strike water launches forward, freezing on impact. Only a small amount of water is used unless a source of water is nearby.
