"I said unload faster." A loud crack of a whip quickly followed the order. From under an awning Miric watched the welder of the whip trying to drive the elves that were currently unloading a new shipment. It was clear this one didn't have much left in him. Such a waste to feed the miserable wretch for the week or two he had left. All the while the slow down would much cut more into his profits.

Standing to his full high Miric approached his employee and grabbed the whip hand in a tight grip before he could bring it back down on elven skin. "Now now, don't you see, this one is to tired. Help him put those sacks down." The other man gave Miric a knowing look before turning to the slave and roughly removed the sack of wheat.

Miric stood slightly out of sight until the human moved to the side. The elven slave was met by the gleam of a dagger as it plunged into his neck. Blood splattered across Miric's face as the elf clawed futilely at his tunic and mouth prayers to his gods. Leaning close to his ear, but speaking loud enough to the others to hear the human master spoke. "Your gods are dead. I am your god know."

Miric removed his dagger with a slickly wet slide and turned his back as he began to clean the weapon. Over his shoulder he said to the other dock workers, "Have his brethren throw his body in the gutters for the birds and then get back to work. We have two more shipments to unload by midday."
even a lowly corporal who is in fact an ONI agent can outrank good ol' Captain Lasko. understandably I think he just really wants to keep it ODST, without the spooks. Thats not to say there can't be any spook like activity in the RP. After all my Kensi Mathers character will be having to do some of that, along with making a very big BOOM! :P, but its main point is to create some IC tension between her and the rest of the squad.

Anyways its all up to Archer. So if you have an idea I suggest talking with him about it. Lets just not take to long. Some of us are dying to start this RP. :)
Archer said he wanted to avoid ONI agents to avoid things like operational authority in the RP. Besides we've already got 2 characters with ONI pasts, one of which does have specific orders from them as sort of "take care of this secretly if you can" sort of thing.
I am pretty sure ODST is a UNSC Marine Corps unit only, and from a brief glance at the other CS it looks like everyone is ODST specific, and not on lone from other branches. So I think it is safe to say that everyone here is a marine.
Alright my CS has been finished.

Name: Miric Kevthryth
Age:38
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Personality: Cruel, power hungry, vindictive are just a few of the less savory traits associated towards Miric. A racist bigot who sees all other non-human races as below wasting even the few meager resources to keep the elven populace segregated.

History:The cousin to the King, Miric Kevthryth is seen as one of the influential humans in the nation, though many consider vile an apt description in the privacy of their own homes. The Kevthryth family owns one of the largest trade companies in the King, profiting largely from the increased slave trade since the enslavement of the elven people. Miric took the family name into politics, campaigning strongly for the complete dissemination of the remaining elven populations.

Other: Though many are familiar with his cruel side, few know the true extent of the evil in his heart. Miric has for years learned to control dark magic and consolidated his own power base to one day usurp the King.
I would think ODST would enjoy the challenge of jumping with a stick.
I think for once I want to play a really evil guy. A brutal slave owner perhaps.
Important to remember I'm not arguing here. Just think we all are getting our facts from different sources. I use the Halo Nation wikia. I can't find any mention of the UNSC Chara. Looked everywhere and all indications say the ship doesn't exist in canon. Now it is important to know that there are three major offenses noted on Arcadia,

- The first was the Insurrection in 2526, prior to the Human-Covenant War.
- In 2531 the Battle of Arcadia happened, in which the Covenant assaulted the world to obtain the Stellar Map at the Forerunner dig site you mentioned Foster. The UNSC was eventually able to push the Covenant off Arcadia. However the UNSC decided to abandon the world as a result of the battle, much of the civilian population being evacuated and all permanent Navel and ground forces being withdrawn. For the next 18 years the only settlement on Arcadia was the farming community of Abaskun.
- In 2549 the Covenant returned to Arcadia, and glassed the entire world after encountering no significant UNSC resistance.

The fact that it was noted that Abaskun continued to supply the UNSC means the at times there was atleast some UNSC presence. So the idea of someone being a soldier during the Fall of Arcadia isn't wrong. Just trying to point out that there was no second battle. It was more of a skirmish followed by its destruction.

To be honest I dunno what is up with everyone being from Arcadia. :)

The only thing I am not sure about is this second battle of Arcadia mentioned in Björkgård history. There wasn't really a second battle. After the first battle UNSC presence on the world disappeared and a vast majority of the population abandoned the world. All that remained was a few farming communities that continued to supply the UNSC. By the time of the glassing of Arcadia the world was pretty lawless and lacked permanent UNSC fleets or land forces. The glassing was pretty much a massacre.

That being said, there really isn't much canonical information on the fall. So there isn't anything to say that there wasn't some form of UNSC resistance.
