@RtronYeah. That way, the Occult domain itself would denote the sacrificial/pact theme I was going for, while the (demons) shows the specific specialisation.
@FrettzoI was thinking of normal magic coming from within the soul, while black magic comes from without it. So a Astarti mage would concentrate within themselves to manipulate reality, while a black sorcerer would use something like esoteric plants and animal remains, summoning and sacrifices to dark gods in order to have their will fulfilled. But that's just an idea.

Do you want to work on making magic more defined? I think we could have a good black magic/Astarti magic thing going.
@The Omnipotent SphereWhat I'm trying to create is a god that unleashes demons (and in future, other similar stuff) to help people. But he only helps those that make some kind of sacrifice to him (e.g. burning down their temple, betraying their station). I'm not sure how to formalise this.

@CycloneYes, that's what I'm thinking. Emphasis on black magic, though.
@CycloneHmm. That's a good point. I was thinking about branching into stuff like curses and blessings, though. Would that be covered under Occult, do you think?
@VecYeah, Omnipotent said they were fine with my idea -- and they're playing a different god now anyway.
@Cyclone That's where I'm currently a bit stuck. I've got a couple of main ways; the first is to be god of domain freedom, portfolio free will. The second is to go as a god of demonic entities and boons/banes that are lent out to people in return for some kind of sacrifice. I think I'd have domain sacrifice, portfolio demons. Or something like that; I'm not sure how you would translate that into domain/portfolio.

I think I'll go with the latter one. But what're your thoughts?
@Legion02Secrets or mystery in general might be good.
@Double Capybara
That's super useful, thanks for posting it!
@Cyclone
Have you read some of the other character sheets that have already been submitted?

Yep.

By devil's advocate/adversary, I didn't mean selfish or evil. I meant more like someone who would provide the role of testing the world, giving challenges or providing temptation to good and bad creations alike. Someone who might whisper in a hero's ear just before he died that they could easily provide him with a way out...

The guy who would represent some aspect of the "easy way". Where morality and worship of a god, good or bad, might take dedication and provide spiritual satisfaction...the adversary would give you the chance to fall away from the long and arduous path, because it's just so much easier. And so much more rewarding.
Just posting to say I'm playing in the RP. Not quite sure what kind of god to play yet, but I have a few ideas. What's the thoughts on Adversary types? I don't mean evil, so much as playing devil's advocate...
