Occult (Demons) Description: The occult’s realm is that of black magic. The magic of the material world, riddled with all the flaws and intricacies of Mammon. It is a magic that comes from potions, wild esoteric herbs, or the bones of long-dead dragons. Mandrake and salamander and wolf jelly and wicker men, chalked-out runes and pinned wax dolls and talismans of bone. And gods.
The Adversary deals in demons. Foul beasts of unnatural proportion, winged howling things cast of horror. Lank serpents languish with malicious languor and man-eating mages make perditious potions of magnificent maleficence. Oppressive pressures press upon your thoughts and cry out in iron laughter as the demon lord approaches. There are none who could not benefit from the use of demons. But such things do not come freely. Where greed-filled kings conspire with spiteful vizier, a roaring demon is sure to follow. Freakish creatures rise when desperate peasant-women search for secret zests to burn upon a hidden alter. When dying heroes gasp their last and feel the steel shock of blade upon their breast, they are given a choice. Give up their thoughtless morals and live again. Or die.

Personality: The Adversary lives to see other creations fail. He loves to test them, break down their will, their petty delusions and tiny thoughts of grandiose honour. His prime pleasure is to see passions displaced by greed, vice, or shocking desire to live alive. But these small delights pale in comparison to when they refuse His offer. When a creation truly lives by the laws they have set themselves, when they surprise Him through character alone, The Adversary knows the worth of His work.
Appearance: The King in Red takes many forms. One is a solitary crimson face, horned and many-teethed, wreathed in oily smoke. A burning crown filled with thorns another. His most mighty manifestation is as the blinding letters H I M great in size and formed of pure whiteness. But most humanoid is that of a man huge in stature, robed in red and crowned in scarlet mercury.
