@BBeastI wanted to focus on the magical side of things, and plague sounds more like a life-minded god's domain. It's fine, though; charms and trinkets are cool. To be clear regarding your own domain, the emphasis will be on the magic, not the items.

Your god is cool as hell, by the way. What're you touching up?
@The Omnipotent SphereUnderstood. The Adversary was going to branch out into other portfolios that would include things like mass curses. But this will be too close to your own abilities, regardless of intent. So I'll take the other route; He'll branch off into different portfolios (I think physical charms. One ring to rule them all sounds good). But you should know that "pacts" are central to the Adversary's character too, if not His powers; it is how His demons will manifest in the world. If changes need to be made, they can be made.
@LugubriousHow do you pronounce your goddess' name? Like the city (sl-ow, rhyming with cow)?

@The Omnipotent SphereI had a cool flavour idea for Belru -- people could give themselves over spiritually to Belru in return for her favour. This would play off the pacts in a distinctly different way; Belru forces people to devote themselves to her will (and punishes them if they fail), while the Adversary forces them to descend into the material world to indulge in their own desires.

It's just fluff -- Belru remains the same -- but it emphasises the difference between magic and the occult (and so Belru and the Adversary). I'm worried that their respective disciplines are too close, otherwise.
@The Omnipotent SphereThis could get interesting...how do you think the Adversary and Belru would interact? And what differences do you think would distinguish them?
@The Omnipotent SphereWhy are we talking about humans and mortals and why are other people's gods dressed in stuff like 18th century dresses? None of these have really been invented yet.

It's probably just ease of communication. We are not ultimately our gods.
My CS: The Adversary

On a side note; what should we call "normal" magic? White magic? Astarti magic? Or should we just call magic magic, and black magic the occult?
@ScarifarI know a guy who runs for 30+ people. It's insane.

@Antarctic TermiteI'd actually fall on the side of humans regarding that conflict. The Adversary loves people like that; he loves their imperfections, and he's obsessed with their determination despite all their flaws. And without something to tempt, how can he convince them to fall?
@Cyclone@HaelI'll be here to test both of your conviction, just in case you were complacent in your dogma.
all three huh?.. kinky...

Well, if we're gonna go full mythological pantheon...
@FrettzoDo you want Astarte to be in some way related to my god? I'm writing up my CS right now, and I thought it could be cool to play off the magic thing: either as brother/sister, lovers, or constant enemies (or all three...).
@NevixNone that you'd get on Amazon.

@DawnscrollHow d'you feel about totally indifferent gods?
