Mercy
Mercy jumped as the gun went off, flinching back against the display cabinet to her right as she did her eyes focusing on the corpse still moving towards her until the second shot pierced its skull, she backpedaled rapidly as the creature flopped forward towards her, the knuckles on the hand clutching her bow had turned white she had an arrow clasped between her other fingers. That had been too close, her blue eyes lifted from the corpse as she turned desperately seeking out Olivia when the dark haired woman from before appeared at her side, strong fingers curling into her arm and dragging her along after her as she made a beeline for the door.
Mercy didn’t resist her at all, eyes searching for Olivia as she compliantly followed the other woman pretty sure she owed her, her life. She was beyond relieved as they came across Olivia just by the door, before Mercy could reach for her the dark haired woman had grabbed her as well pulling them from the store and into the street. Once they were out of the door, Mercy gently pulled herself from the older woman’s grip darting back towards the front of the store; pulling her bow up onto her shoulder she reached for the door slamming it closed after the blue eyed man slid through the gap by the skin of his teeth, stumbling into the road. She jolted away from the door violently as one of the creatures slammed up against it. She stepped back her breathing heavy her face pale beneath the layer of dirt that clung to it. “Shit, shit, shit” She breathed lifting a trembling hand to her head lacing her fingers through her dirty blonde hair, she looked up at the dark haired woman and the two men, soft blue eyes gripped with concern as she studied them. “Thank you” She breathed, standing straight despite her quaking hands she seemed fairly calm if not prepared for the worst, her eyes slid to rest on Olivia stood next to her. “Are you ok?” She asked the redhead as her first concern. “Did anyone get hurt?” She aimed this question at the other survivors, sweeping her gaze across the 3 of them briefly.
Her hand reflexively reached for her bow as she noticed another stranger approaching them she was holding a gun and dressed in a rather peculiar blue dress, Mercy licked at her lower lip nervously a habit she knew she should abandon in this day and age as it could potentially be dangerous. Her eyebrows rose as the girl in the blue dress asked her question, she felt her eyes turn towards the store watching a dozen of the creatures pad at the glass dead eyes watching them hungrily, she shivered involuntarily. “Yes...” She answered her slowly; she had grabbed another arrow from her quiver by now and held it loosely within her bow, she jutted the tip towards the store as if to say she only had to look at the windows to answer that question.
“L-“ She had noticed the undead creature sneak up behind the girl and dog but before she could warn them, yet another survivor literally dropped in on them landing behind the blue dressed girl and taking a shovel to the imposing creatures face no sooner had she well and truly smashed its face in Mercy shuffled closer to the dark haired woman and her companion. “We need to go” She announced boldly, she didn’t know any of these people and they didn’t know her but she knew none of them were safe here. “If we stick together for a while we’ve got a better chance of getting through this” She added her voice was loud enough for all to hear but she was almost directing this at her savior (Chris)
She felt a small twinge of anxiety snake through her chest as she waited for the others response aware the glass store front would not hold the creatures at bay for long, she was worried for Tamashii...but she was holding onto the belief that her friend was ok and would find her...somehow. She looked past the two woman just ahead of her, releasing a shuddering breath as she saw what was moving down the street towards them.
Tamashii
Tamashii’s jaw tightened as she listened to the woman answer Remy’s questions, her shoulders tensed up at the exchange. She heard the woman perfectly well, in a normal situation she wouldn’t have been this aggressive when meeting strangers...but this world was different. It had changed people...Ash was a prime example, it fed her negative side caused her to embrace everything she had tried to hide away. She flinched as Remy’s voice pulled her from her thoughts, she had barely taken her eyes off of the woman across from them, listening to what he said her eyes grazed the windows of the houses to the left of them. “I know” She murmured to the man at her side. “We need to get back Remy” She whispered though there was a steely undertone to her voice, her eyebrow lifting as the woman said she wasn’t going to move in case they shot her or worse. What’s worse than being shot? “Don’t do anything stupid and I won’t shoot you, its that simple” She warned the woman about to continue when Remy beat her to it, calling out to see whether anyone was behind them and asking that they show themselves. Tamashii was inclined to agree with him they needed to get back to the house, back to Mercy and the girl. “Listen we’re not going to hurt you...we’re leaving and-“ Tamashii started to say taking a step backwards when she heard Remy exclaim she resisted the urge to look at him still pointing her hand gun at the woman.
She flinched as Remy touched her forearm pointing behind them, Tamashii saw the fear flicker across the woman’s face it was enough to make her relax her arm and turn to see what was going on. As her eyes fell on the horde of shambling corpses behind them, the air left her lungs in a gasp, she felt her head spin as panic embedded itself in her mind. “No, no, no, no” She whined. “Mercy...” Tamashii breathed despite the odds, she spun her hand gun on the creatures that begun to shuffle towards them. Refusing to believe her companion had fallen, the only sure thing in Tamashii’s broken mind was she had to get back to that house. She took aim as she moved forward, capping two of the creatures in the head both gun shots echoing around them, the fact of the matter was if Remy hadn’t practically man handled her she wasn’t sure what she would have done. “No! Remy, we have to get to her!” Tamashii hissed as she was pulled backwards wriggling despite herself. She flinched against him as another gunshot sounded nearby, falling quiet as she was dragged into a house barely registering the gentleman crouched just inside the door as it was pushed closed behind them.
“Get off of me!” She growled at Remy, pulling free of his grip she instantly shot across the room, carefully pulling a curtain back to glance across the street, her stomach twisting as she realized how many creatures had fallen in behind them since they had split up. Stupid move! Why did you do it?...She’ll be ok she would have moved Tamashii was breathing heavily by now, panic well and truly set into her mind as she danced back into the hallway, keeping her footsteps light she tucked her handgun into its holster, pulling out her knife she ran a hand into her hair hearing the tell tale thuds of the undead banging on the door they were trapped in here. “Roof access? We can move along get ahead of the horde...” She whispered to Remy, casting her eye on the man with the gun tucked off to the side in normal circumstances she would have been more wary of him pointed a weapon at him maybe, but this wasn’t the time. She stepped back into the hallway, holding her combat knife at the ready as she moved towards the stairs, carefully ascending them before either of the men could protest.
