Btw, there's a really awesome playlist for fantasy music if anyone is in need of some inspiration or just wants some good study/relax music! The Playlist
Just to clarify as well- the first quest will be more heavily guided as it's necessary to get the ball rolling. Once everyone gets a feel for how it'll work, and the story wheels start churning it'll be up to everyone where to go from there.

Think of the first quest and the first few posts as a tutorial or an introduction to the world. From then on you guys will have a lot more option in how you want to do things.

Perfect, I can't wait! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about lore. I didn't want to overwhelm everyone with too much lore in the interest check so I realize that there's still a ton you don't know.

Based on each player's specific character- I'll make sure they know the things their character logically would know (even if your fellow party members don't know it).
@Rithy

I have a starting point planned, and I also have a general idea about where the story can go. I'm borrowing from tabletop games or video games like Skyrim in that the journey to your end goal doesn't have to be linear. Ideally, the "party" will use the OOC to discuss strategy.

For example if the party is dealing with a particularly difficult noble someone might post in the OOC: "Okay guys, how should we deal with "insert noble here"? Do we think they're lying? Etc." Sometimes your fellow players will have more insight because I've privately messaged them about something only their character picked up on (based on their backstory, race, traits, etc.)

The RP will have a quest log, and I'll update it to let you know where to start or when you've accomplished something as a part of the quest. I don't want to railroad (though there may be some small bits of it if necessary), but I will do everything I can to guide everyone through so that the experience can be enjoyable whilst still having an element of adventure. It is entirely up to the players how they interact with the world, and in turn how the world interacts with them.

To be fair, most names for many of the cities/countries/etc. are rough estimations in common tongue. That being said, I'd imagine even still some people would have a tough time pronouncing some of the city names as is. Though, I'd be willing to add a smaller colony with an impossibly long name if people wanted that.
Hey! Not sure if anyone is still subscribed to this RP, but I'm rebooting this in hopes that I can get things off the ground. If anyone is interested feel free to submit a character: https://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/169087-tales-of-owls-and-wolves-a-high-fantasy-interest-check/ooc
Hey everyone, just wanted to let interested parties know that I'll be updating the above Atlas with some relevant cities. If there is a particular country/city/etc. that interests me feel free to let me know and I can provide some more lore about said place.
No worries, I shot you a PM
@Frettzo

Oh, it's from a really awesome beta inkarnate.com. It's a very handy tool that I definitely recommend!

As for the plant race- that's definitely an interesting idea that I hadn't really thought of. I'd love to hash out some lore for them (my mind is already kind of thinking of some potential avenues). The idea of a character like that makes me pretty excited actually from a story-telling perspective.
Also, I've added a character sheet if anyone is interested in drafting out a character. If you are still unsure about the RP, but might want to think up a character- that is totally fine! I'm completely okay with anyone deciding that the RP isn't for them even if they've already made a character. Sometimes drafting characters for the world can be a fun thing!

If you have any interest, though, I encourage thinking up a character for some inspiration! Thanks for reading
