Current Laptop has suspiciously decided to have hard-drive failure two weeks after the warranty expired, so no RPing for me!

There, this is an edited version of my CS.

Rivaan: I feel your pain about finding a good photo. I don't really like the one i found. It seems all fantasy pictures of female characters either have her decked out as a warrior, princess, or whore. Not much moderation.

Problem solved! You mentioned the people were 'barbaric and obstinate people', and although they wouldn't be tribal to the south of Titus, it could be fair to say that someone from Dawn would see people further north like that. So if you're happy with it then please post it on the CS page :)
Thank you for the encouragement about my character sheet. That's the first one I ever made so I was really hoping it turned out okay. I realized a while after I posted the CS that I miss-represented Titus. For now I guess I'll change it to a random village South of Titus. Would that be okay? I just wanted it to be on the edge of where the plague has spread and not too far from The Cross Roads. Should I edit my CS and re-post it so that it can be added to the characters list?

You should be proud of your CS as it is of very good quality, especially if its your first one! If you want to go along with the tribal thing still, you'd need to go North of Titus. It's taken seven weeks for the bulk of the hordes to travel down from Falkreach to Minorhold (although the plague can be spotted everywhere), and many Northerners have been able to outrun it, so there wouldn't be an issue if you wanted to say she started in the North and retreated to the Cross Roads. Alternatively you could change your story slightly and start more southward. It's really up to you.

It may help to try comparing the God of Light to another real-world religion that is similar in doctrine (if there is such a real-world religion) if you want to save time. That's a total suggestion.... you may have a fully thought out religion ready to go. If so, I can't wait to read about it.

I'll be adding more information shortly, and you're welcome to fill in any blanks I leave. I took inspiration from the rise of Catholicism and the decline of paganism and pantheons. There are many similarities between the Church of Light and early Catholicism, but its certainly in no way a carbon copy and I certainly don't want to offend anyone xP

As far as my comment about not being a patient person, that was a comment on my own shortcomings, not yours. I totally understand that you and everyone else have lives outside of RP. I myself have been known to take a hiatus here and there. No worries, and I'm really sorry to hear about how you spent your weekend.

No worries. I get that you guys weren't being overly serious, but I like being informative with my replies haha

On a RP related note, I hope we get some people in here with characters who know how to fight, lol. So far we have a 13 year old girl, an untrained fighter priest, and a bookish pipsqueek. Of course we have Roven who seems pretty B.A., but I think we will need more than this against a horde of zombies.

True dat! My characters can fight, and I should get them up in the next few days.

Ah, I see my bad. Wasn't paying attention.... emberassing.

So you should, you silly silly goose.

@Fat Boy Kyle Of course I realized there are still places, but manners dictate that I must ask first still. :3 And from this post onwards I will be working on the CS! I have the vague feeling I may have troubles finding the right picture, but that's just one of the hurdles on the road that I must overcome! * does an overly dramatic pose, pointing at the sky with imaginary sword*

To be honest I don't mind whether or not you use a picture. If you can't find one that fits you're welcome to just give a detailed description. The pictures are supposed to be more of a reference anyway. Doesn't have to be a fully body picture either; or if it is, they don't need to be wearing the right clothes.

p.s. stop waving that imaginary sword around before you poke an imaginary friend's eye out :P

Denalz's? That's accepted as long as they rectify the point I made here.
It would be a good idea for you to 'claim' 1 or 2 posts in the OOC, below the opening post. Then we can add both a character relations area where we could say, indicate who thinks what of who, and history between character, and a lore post where you could put 'wiki' information. That way you could keep the first post organised enough to explain setting and goals? IDK, just thinking out loud.

I do like that idea and I get time I'll probably shuffle a lot of stuff around. I've also started adding a little line on each character in the roster (look on the CS page). If you don't like the line I've written or can think of a better one for your character then just let me know.

Okay, so here it is. Again, I have never done a female character. But we will see how this goes. If this character sucks or if my writing style seems too juvenile just let me know. I would prefer to be kicked out now than feel inadequate later.

Good CS! The only problem is that you've implied Titus is a tribal settlement, but it is actually one of the Kingdom's settlements (purple on map = Kingdom of Vasili). In fact due to folklore many tribal people are scared to go anywhere near the place.

Greetings there. I've been in RP for a good few years now. Originally I planned to skip registering here, but I by chance noticed this lovely lil' RP and I couldn't help myself. I'm a fan of zombie survival style stories in fantasy settings! With all that said, is there a place for me to join here ^_^ ?

Of course! Until I say otherwise, everyone should assume there are still many places left; feel free to tell this to others.

Maybe so, but that depends on how dire things become. I'm wondering if this RP will ever get to the point where the population is seriously diminished.

By the way, if my character is accepted, I am hoping to get some more information about the God of Light. My character is so centered upon this element that I need to get some background on this religion's doctrine and faith. How does a follower live his or her life?

There is no question that the population will be seriously diminished, but the extent really depends on how the RP plays out.

Like I said in an earlier post, I'm happy for people to add to the lore if I haven't already done so. However I will add some more info about the religions in a minute (as well as some other points), and will include some elements that I've seen people put in their CSs. I'll continue to develop the intro post, which I'll now call the wiki, throughout the RP.

Yeah, I'd like some more info on both the religious groups because my character is 'a part' of both.

See the above comment.

I can tell I'm going to have to exercise patience if I want to be a part of this RP. Not my strongest suit.

Patience - the greatest test for any RPer it seems.

<Snipped quote by Denalz>

Neither mine, but advanced rp's seem slow in general. I just took this RP on because I wanted to have one slow moving one where you can read a lot of stuff in 1 go so I have some more depth to my RP's.

I think patient is important in any RP and, like I said somewhere earlier, I think the most long living RPs are the ones where people don't give up just because there's been a period of inactivity. When I make some of you co-gms it should help with the pacing, but tbh we're still in the recruiting stage atm so I don't really think there's an issue yet.

By the way, my timezone is UTC±00:00 or GMT. Tell me what timezone you're in and I'll add it beside your name on the roster.
Sorry, I've not really been on the last couple of days because I've had to travel home for a funeral. I'll provide some responses later today.
Aye, I'm not too bothered about ratios.
I'll have a CS up before the night is through.

EDIT: Make that tomorrow morning.

No problemo

Any objections to a Ship captain/Smuggler?

None spring to mind

So you all know, I'm in no immediate rush to start. The sooner the better of course, but I want to give people ample time to join. As for RP pacing, if there's one thing I've learnt it is that RPs continue to live because the players are patient and continue to post even after weeks of inactivity, not because players post regularly. Never think of an Rp as dead, just think of it as quiet!

Let me know if it's good, if there are issues and/or if you have feedback! Don't be afraid to flatout deny me if you think it's not good enough. ^^

Much to my annoyance, I am unable to find a single thing to bitch about. Accepted! I noticed you added some details about the religion which I didn't say,but I actually think that's a positive thing; I'm happy for players to add lore and such, and I'll try my best not to hinder your creativity. If anyone happens to say something that is against the existing lore/timeline/etc. I'll point it out,but don't let it deter you.

Accepted. Please add the characters to the CS List!

I'm rather interested. Are you willing to take me in?

Depends on your CS :P
