Current Been a while, but I'm back. Just moved and no social life in the new place yet so I'll probably be around a lot.

My cat has been found guilty of laptopicide, using my very own jar of ice water as a murder weapon. I'll be back as soon as I can. At most, I'm looking at about a month with no personal computer.

Mandatory 'poor Luca' indeed. He's already experienced more chaos in a few hours than he ever had at the temple, and it looks like there's only going to be more. A sheltered life he has led indeed, except concerning matters of death.
Liliana Stormshadow - The Fallen Star

Location: Campus Magnus

Liliana's suspicion grew as each of the women spoke further and she got a chance to listen closely to their voices. The way her race was brought into the equation narrowed the possibilities, for few but elves were likely to know it so easily, and even fewer held contempt enough for her kind to mention it in such a way. The Crone's reluctant agreement that they were likely the strongest of all those present in the camp came as no comfort, particularly when she seemingly flaunted her magical ability in Lili's face. The insult stung deeply, and it was clear that she took it personally by the way her fists and jaw clench. While she was trying to decide whether or not to draw her sword, Gripus spoke up and ultimately confirmed her suspicions.

Drow, then. And it seems this Lady of Shame may be as well, though much more reasonable. Absolutely wonderful. As one who understood being cast out and isolated, Liliana held very little against the Drow as a race. Who would not hate those who banished your kin and hunted them to relentlessly? While she was not being hunted in such a manner, she knew what it was like to be looked upon openly with hatred by cowards to weak to admit their fault. In the end, she chose silence and crossed her arms over her chest again. Now she really wanted a good fight, but it would not be so with Bal unless the Crone brought forth blade or spell first.

As she turned her eyes to the sky to examine the clouds she determined that the storm would suit her mood, and what magic she had left, rather well. Without a word Liliana turned to make for her tent. Her pack was there, as well as her bow and quiver. Her pack hung diagonally across her back, allowing her quiver to be slung underneath it. Whisper was strung, fitted into a pocket of leather on the side of the quiver. Thus equipped, she made for the gate to rejoin Gripus and any of the others who would be there.
Just letting everyone know that I'm still around, I simply don't have anything worth posting at the moment.

Lyla Warren

From the sound of it, the scene in the ballroom was fast spiraling out of control. Considering this, it was no surprise that Lyla agreed wholeheartedly when Laurel spoke of escape. She had no wish to be caught in the middle of the potential chaos, and feared that she would only get injured in such an event. When her new friend whistled sharply she flinched and winced at the sound. It only hurt her sensitive ears because the other student was so near, but Lyla would not hold it against her.

"Hello, Güzel, and thank you again Laurel," she says as the hyena approaches, nervously scratching the back of one leg with the opposite foot. Everything around them seemed tense, like the air right before a heavy storm. Not wishing to be left behind again, she followed the clicks of Güzel's claws on the ballroom floor. She thought as she walked, and then recalled that Laurel had mentioned the others leaving through a trapdoor. Normally Lyla could use her wings to glide and cushion any fall in order to get down from somewhere, but a trapdoor and the tunnel that might would be below it would likely be too narrow for that.

Morgan Selwyn

None of the others seemed to mind his joining him, and so Morgan followed them into and through the tunnel. As they talked to each other he put a name to each face, though he would have to wait to see what the shapeshifter really looked like. The first impression Shukura made on him was one of vanity, while Niall struck him as fairly level-headed considering what was happening in the ballroom behind them. Wondering what might be going on at that moment, he winced at the thought of what it may mean for the next day. Hopefully nobody would get seriously hurt.

Last up the ladder and out of the tunnel, Morgan looks around and recognizes the lounge in the male dorm. Useful bit of knowledge, that. I will have to remember it. The others in the group seemed keen on continuing the party, and he saw no reason to return to the room that he shared with Suley. "Sounds like a plan, if you don't care that I tag along. My name's Morgan. Thanks for the timely exit."

His expression souring, Grimalkin turned back to Max with a frown. It was too late now for him to present any difficulty or real resistance, but still it was annoying to be called out in such a manner. The use of the word 'fairies' was particularly irritating.

"Listen closely this time. This is the Fae Realm, home to all types of those you humans call 'fairies.' If you wish to be specific, I am a member of the race known as Cait Sith, or the Fae Cats. I wished your Name from you as payment for a bargain and because Names, true Names, have power. Now, Max Oscar Napras, you will cease your caterwauling and address me with a civil tongue. We go now to my Queen, and you will follow." Berating the man in little more than a harsh whisper, Grim stepped close and put his face close to Max's while allowing his glasses to fall enough to show his eyes. He had barely finished when the voice of the Fall King rode across the winds of the realm. Thinking on the call for a moment, he decided to make one of his own, though entirely more personal. Calling on the magic within him and that bestowed upon him by his Queen, he sent a message by way of thought to his liege.

Mine wondrous Queen, I fear the distance is too great for me to come immediately to your side. If thou wouldst honor me with a favor, I ask that you summon thy humble servant. I have with me a human as well, whom I have coerced into my service. He would also require transport by thy hand, unless you prefer that I return him first to Court before rejoining you. As ever, I await thy call.

Welp, I feel like an idiot. I forgot I needed to write up a post for this one last night. I'll have one up soon, promise!
@EthTenshi How recent is the latest Dresden Files book? I fear I may be behind now...

Also, will post shortly. My girlfriend just left and before tonight I hadn't seen her in nearly a year. Long distance relationships suck.
A bump to ease my boredom
At the human's first outburst, Grim stopped in his tracks to savor the taste of desperation and hopelessness. Yes, an excellent morning indeed. Turning, he dropped his Glimmer to reappear entirely, revealing now a truly demented smile.

"Wonderful. Max. Oscar. Napras. Yes... my Queen will certainly wish to meet you. Follow me, human, and we shall see what may be done to cure your ailments. The way is not overly long, but we must walk a good distance now. I trust you would have no difficulty following me in this form, but perhaps another would make you more... comfortable. A moment, please." Even as he spoke, Grimus' body began to blur and fade again, as though he might vanish once more. Instead the feline doubled over before standing tall as his body began to elongate and his fur flattened and seemed to meld together. Within a few moments, a dark-haired man in a well fitted suit had replaced the cat. Pushing dark glasses up the bridge of his nose, he smiles once more.

"Shall we? The Winter Queen awaits." Without further ado he turned on his heel, gesturing for Max to follow as he started off.

Luca Warren - Raven Queen's Attendant

Location: Actium

Luca nodded at Sarai's introduction; he had studied under a monk from Light of Man for a time when he was first learning to channel the Raven Queen's power. The man had been a rare visitor at the temple, which was usually shunned by those who did not understand the goddess' relationship with death and fate. He was about to comment on this when Sarai's eyes met his and she suddenly brought her hands to his face. Eyes widening and lips parting in surprise, he starts to pull back but finds himself held in place by the intensity of her gaze. When her whispered words reached his ear, he gasped softly.

How...? What...? Impossible! Only then did Luca recall his lessons, and closing his eyes for a moment he opened his mind and senses to the current of magic around him. There were two things he noticed immediately. The first was that Pyria, for all her slender form and girlish bluster, had an aura of immense and undefined power that seemed completely inexplicable. Secondly, he noticed that Sarai's aura had elements that were strikingly similar to his own. Trying to sort this out, he misses his companion's reply entirely. After several long seconds however, he provides his own answer.

"I left my temple seeking to be part of something greater, and so the opportunity has come. I plan to join an expedition leaving for the Dark Tower as soon as possible that this curse may be ended. So many lost souls wander the Iron Coast, denied my Queen's embrace. However... with this storm coming I was planning to remain here and gather supplies today and tonight, and then make for Campus Magnus in the morning. Provided no such groups can be found here, of course."
